I am already fat and overweight. I took the Cobra to Redding yesterday to have the guy adjust the Carb., as I don't like to mess with all of those darn settings. Also the back float was sticking open and what a ratty running car that makes with a steady stream of gas about the size of a small pencil always going into the secondaries. He cleaned everything and adjusted it and it runs fine and all this for free except the 5 gallons of gas I wasted trying to get it that 15 miles. That was most likely our last nice day for a while as they sat rain this evening. If it doesn't start raining and the wind stays still I may take the 69 out today. To heck with this yard and upper lot.
Oh, I added the Google Toolbar and it has a spell checker on it that works pretty good. It corrected 4 words that I misspelled in this post.

Soon as I can figure out where Ortonville Michigan is. Or if my next interview goes well, anytime.

Tru,
I guess my driving days are over now for a while. I changed the plugs in the replica and was going to clean all of the sticky exhaust fumes off the 69 Cobra and drive it today but it is getting dark and now they say rain this evening and through the weekend. Boy, am I ever happy now that I took off from yard work yesterday and drove the replica in for Bill to check that carburetor. He said the long setting had caused it to stick open, but I sure can't drive it when it rains every day.

Glad to see that you got a ride squeezed in between the droplets. I went for a ride today. Had to buy more gas ... used 2 tanks in the last 8 days ....

Aloha Ron,
At least you got a ride in and the Cobra is ready to roll next "weather
permitting". Maybe the rain is doing that last dribble? I'm hoping for good
weather this weekend to take mine out for my North Shore run and, and of
course, a little sky diving. We have been getting some breaks in the rain here, but like in your case, it isn't done yet. Now with gas prices heading
north - it just doesn't end does it? Oh well, here's to blue skies!

Flip,
We are supposed to have rain starting again today and through the weekend. But it is just 4AM and to dark for me to see if it is overcast or not but I can't see the moon or any stars. As soon as it does stop and dry up, then I have to have this darn driveway torn up and replaced. another huge expense as the dumping out here now costs more than the new driveway and labor combined. Our gas prices all went above $3 a gallon a week ago and the highest I have seen so far was $3.75. Forget the $3 dollar mark, look out for the $4 dollar stuff. Hope that you get a break soon as I am so tired of this rain I could go more insane than I already am.

Well Ron, I got out last night and ran around showing off the snake.
I did manage to spin the tires through first and into second. Man that can be expensive.
Erich solo'ed last night and took a couple people for rides. I think I might have him give rides in London so I can sit and relax.
We have the same weather, supposed to rain today and tomorrow. I need the water on the new trees.
So, what are you all doing this weekend???

Brent, Ortonville is north of Clarkston, but south of Flint, just 4.5 miles off I75. It is in the northwest corner of the greater Detroit Metro area.
So, what is the interview and what does it have to do with Michigan??

Warren,
Now that he lives in Florida, he should have a boat to ship. He must be busy as I hardly ever see any post from him on any site.
Hey, we had a great day yesterday and I took the 69 Cobra out for a long drive and spent and hour while people oggled over it and some who had 69 GTs compared all the differences between it and their GTs. Then drove on down by Emerson's and looked at the Super Car he is making which is a take off of the Ford GT. I really like the power seats that will come up and then out to the outside a few inces which really makes getting in and out a lot easier.

Warren,
Enjoy the vacation. Our weather has turned back to crappy. Dark and wind blowing and supposed to rain this afternoon. I need to get out in the garage and clean the 69 as it has all the sticky exhaust from the replica on it. Should mow the lawns, but after $8 dollars for that little can of gas I am hoarding it to sell at a later date.
