Wow. what a weekend. Lots of things!
#2 played in three "Hoop it Up" games yesterday, and two today. They got beat today by the team that went to the championship game, and they probably won it. Very physical, street type basketball. Our boys just weren't used to that physical of a game. "school' basketball is pretty much non-physical. They did really well, though.
His back is really bruised, as he got 'pushed' (yeah, shoved) into the backboard. Really jammed him up.
David and #4 had their campout. #1 hung around most of the weekend, working on driver's ed lessons. (and lots of movies and computer games.)
#3 hung around, too, and after softball practice on Saturday, she went to a friends house for the evening.
Managed to make it to church today, then out to lunch, then to the Hoop it Up games, then to the hospital to visit David's grandma who is in the hospital, now home, supervising piano practice and school projects.
whew! Also, I managed to sneak in a few hours at the scrapbook day yesterday, and got a whopping 9 pages done. (not much, but better than none)
I'm going to bed early tonight.
a shot from yesterday, the first game. Mine is the redhead.
3 on 3. 13 year old, 'rec' division.

Yep No car to ship alright. Too bad for me. I'll be OK though. I sure miss the cobra but I know it has a good home.
Speaking of cobras I saw one today going down Bonita Beach road of the way to the beach. Man was it nice on the Ocean today. The wind seemed a little high but when we got there the waters were calm as could be. We played on the beach all day. We stopped and got soem stuff and had a pic-nic on the beach. Kept plenty of water on hand for the kidoes and had a blast. I got a little sunburnt but not too bad to keep me away.
I love this place! I should have done this ten years ago.. or more.
BTW:
No driving nails for me. I am the "grande patron". I point my finger and sign the checks. Did I tell you guys I love it here yet?

Tru,
I have been out in the cars more the past two weeks than in the past two years. Weather is in the upper 80s and low 90s, but today the wind is really blowing and the oak pollen is so think it is terrible. I need to mow the yards so I may try to get that done today. I just don't like the wind and it plays havoc with my sinuses. I am thinking of going up to Paradise for the car show there next month.

Warren,
Didn't I tell you that your vacation would be messed up as you kept rubbing it in about how you were out driving around while we were flooding. Gee, I really feel bad for you.
Tru,
Just finished mowing and it is already dusty here. I am not even going to start the upper lot and driveway today as I don't really feel all that energetic.

Hi all, just dropped in to say Hi....had a little scare last week, the 5 month old Grandaughter spent the first part of the week in the hospital with a "high" fever....turned out to be a urinary tract infection...ALL better now...had pictures of her and her sister taken last night....will post soon as the daughter sends them to me.....car is coming along slowly but surely.....one step forward and three steps backwards....spent most of Sunday taking things back apart....put together, take apart, put together, take apart, put together, take apart.....pretty soon I'll be able to do it blindfolded......spent 10 hours on the road today driving from Daytona to Tampa (MacDill AFB) to Daytona to pick up 8 turbine engines....wore outtttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.

Earl,
Good to hear that the Granddaughter is doing well. How are you going to fit 8 turbine engines into that Cobra? Perhaps instead of nuts and bolts you should consider zippers if you are going to keep taking it apart and putting it back together.

oh, ps. Earl, glad your g'baby is doing better. That is most scary, I'm sure. Of all the things I have dealt with with my kiddo's, high fever isn't one of them. thank God.

Answer: A. #2 had baseball. They won, a shut out.
#3 had softball. David did that one.
He brought the Cobra Trailer in from the farm- (where we store it)
I am headed to Texas Motor Speedway tomorrow!!!!
whooohooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
Should pull out of here by 6 am. Hopefully, no disasters like last October when the hitch broke.
(part of the reason for a new truck)
not Brazil. I have no interest in going to Brazil. My next big trip is to Australia.

Australia,
They only have Bernie and Kangaroos. Hope everything goes well with the trip to the speedway. Wind is still blowing here and the air is yellow with the oak pollen, otherwise it is a great day.

Whenever we go, it won't be to see the kangaroo's!
yeah, it's pretty windy here, but not terrible. Very overcast, have had threatening showers all around the metroplex, but none here. I hope tomorrow is nice.
Posters??? hmmm. Probaby not 'official' ones. This is put on by The Texas Driving Experience. I think that's the name of it... The other time, it was a big thing with the Shelby Cobra Assoc. of Texas (SCAT)
the TDE is a driving school type thing. My brother is going with me, and hopefully he can take some pics!

Kristen,
I like the way you solved the broken hitch problem. Buy a new truck. Tru, what was it you said that broke on your truck when you went to Steve's. Using Kristen's method you should buy at least three new trucks.
