HOT here again today. Lowest this week was 110 and they say it will stay this way for at least three more days. We set records for rain and now we are setting heat records. This is ridiculous. Alaska is looking better all the time.

Flip,
Hawaii is looking better all the time. It was 114 yesterday and would just burn when you got out in the sun. Stand in the shade and drown in sweat from the humidity. But we have a cold spell coming if the forecast is correct. It is suppose to just be in the 105/108 range the next 4 days. I will have to get my long sleeve shirts out again.
Fred,
Isn't it about time that you came home from the coast? You are having way to much fun.

Warren,
I saw something like that somewhere before and was amazed at it. But they must be right as I had no trouble reading your post. It actually made more sense than most of them.

Tru,
Warren started it. It is his fault.
I would like to live in Hawaii if I could afford it. Sure, they have a little rain, but that isn't as bad as the heat.

yes, Tru. I agree. Gonna have to talk to Ray about keeping our thread 'clean'.
Not as hot this week, either, Ron. Supposed to be in the mid to upper 90's. I think we are pretty consistently 10*'s less than you. Don't you feel 'honored' to be better at something than Texas! California even made my local radio station news a bit ago. (how hot is was this past week)
Eagle Project behind us; now packing Peter for Philmont (Scout Ranch in New Mexico). Leaves Wednesday, by 8 a.m. David is one of two driver's 'driving the troop' up there. Then, he is going on to Colorado for ANOTHER week of vacation! He 'let go' our yard crew; now he's out there mowing! Where are those lazy teenage boys?? Shouldn't they be out there with him??? One does the walk behind, one does the weed whacking, David does the push mower, etc. It gets done, but not quite as nice as the yard crew did it. oh well. I am off to the gym!
Ran a stop sign in the Mustang, and I am here to tell about it. most scary.
seeya later.

Kristen,
We are setting heat records here daily. High yesterday at my house was 116, low in the 80s last night. This heat just burns the skin and I see construction workers wearing long sleeve cotton shirts as they said it just burns them really bad. We should have a cold spell in the later part of this week as the forecast is for it to drop down into the 104/108 range. All Winter we set records for rain and now this. Over the weekend they had 4 deaths in Redding that were caused by the heat. I am tired of staying inside, but this is just to hot to get out in. I won't even go into the garage as it is worse than a sauna.

Warren,
May the Gods of rain and snow both dump on you and your rides.
My car won't even come out of the garage it is so hot here. Ice here is as expensive as gas right now. What I need is a way to control the weather.

Warren, you do not want to have Ron in charge of the weather.
Okay, did ten quarts of Ice Cream topping this weekend, all black raspberry. Waiting for the Blackberries to come in. Apples will follow and then it will be garden harvest.
Anyone getting luck in the garden department?

Ron - the only way to control weather is to wait for it to change
or MOVE I do have a spare bedroom, and the rent is cheap! But I only have a one car garage!
The Gods do not dump on my rides! They dump on the area I live, thereby preventing rides!
Tru - Luck in the garden?? Ya, I may have some tomatoes and cukes by Thanksgiving. Some of my plants (from seeds no-less) got washed away after planting. Maybe the green peppers will be ready by Christmas. Last year I was eating all kinds of tomatoes. Today, my tallest plant is about 2 feet tall, has plenty of flowers and a few tinnie tiny green tomatoes.
Kristen - running a stop sign?? I did the same thing about 1 week ago. The top bar of the windshield was in the way and I did not see it. There were cars at either side of the road and were stopped as I cruised thru the intersection at about 35 MPH. I'm glad they both were defensive drivers. First time I've done that in about 25 years!
Oh my God - the temperature is all the way up to 85 ºF at 2:30. What will I do? Shall I wait until 6 PM when the temperature has gone down a few degrees, or should I go now? Decisions, decisions. If I were still a pig I would not have all these problems.
