She should look at the bright side of things. Just think of all the FREE toilet paper she has received. With that much she should be able to get a lot of reading done.

Toilet paper, Ah yes, the sign of a popular son or daughter who has a following. Hope for a huge rain and many of your problems will fall to the ground.

Erich turned another year older. His girl friend took him out. Hmmmm.........

Fred, How can you be back, you never left.

Warren, I have a 30 Amp, weather tight, relay With pigtails for wiring. Do you want me to send it to you?? YOu could use the 19 Amp lamps you want to install and set the 13 Amp units aside. The relay also has a mounting tab.

If this will help you out, PM me. I know how much some of this stuff costs, sometimes we need to help each other.

Got five posts put in for my wife's deck she has always wanted. I'm getting there.

Warren,

BTW, I have one of two of those VW relays as well. They are always going out. They work for about four months and then somehting goes bad and they die.

I hope you are talking about the 70 AMP, big lug, plug in unit that was common on most 60s and 70s VWs for electrical control.

Can you post a pic of the relay? I will see if I have one you can have.

I'm thinking all these boys that spent the night last night, should get out there and pick it up. Then, take it upstairs to the boys' bathroom, where THEY can use it as needed!

glad you made it back, Fred. (although you really weren't gone from US)

You missed the Dallas meet yesterday. Bigger turnout than lately. I was back home at 9 a.m., and it was already too hot. This is definitely not 60's convertible driving weather!
We took the girls (and a young friend) to Campisi's for pizza last night. double anchovy, for me....
#2 and a couple of friends were at a female friends' birthday party. Picked them up at 10, and brought them home. Suspecting either next door neighbors (who have a cutie-girl cousin visiting from Louisiana) did the paper wrapping, or the 14 yo's from the birthday party. Not the worst job we've ever had.
Peter called from philmont yesterday. Left the message on the machine. (We had a funeral in Terrell yesterday)
He said "mom, it's Peter. We just trekked up a 12,500 foot mountain. It was really cool. Seeya."
click.
So. He's still alive. Hasn't been mauled by a bear, or struck by lightning. We figure no news is good news. He should be back in basecamp on Monday evening. Back to Dallas on Tuesday night. Wow! I hope he took a few pictures.
Football camp (school football) is starting today. That was the only negative from the Philmont trek. Missing camp.
seeya. gonna go take a look at the front yard.

Kristen, we need to pics to really enjoy your "situation"

Ron, keep pouring them.

Well, the radio in the Cobra is dead. I mean really dead. Like no power dead.

I'm working on it.

Incredible. Here it is August when we normally have our worst heat and when I went out at $:10 AM to put the garbage can out it was actually sprinkling. Never lasted long and didn't even get the driveway good and wet, but this is unheard of here. Very humid now and I dread what it may be when the sun comes up in about 2 1/2 hours.

TO ALL THE KIDS

WHO SURVIVED the
1930's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they
were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't
get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs
covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when
we
rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took
hitchhiking.
As infants &children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster
seats, seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and

NO ONE actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank koolaide made with
sugar, but we weren't overweight because

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING !

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were
back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day.

And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down
the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the
bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Play stations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all,
no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or
CD's, no cell phones, no personal computer! s, no Internet or chat
rooms.......
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no
lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us
forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays,

made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it
would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or
rang
the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't
had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of.

They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem
solvers and inventors ever!

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned

HOW TO

DEAL WITH IT ALL!

If YOU are one of them . . CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up
as
kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives

for our own good

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!

The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:

"With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding,
severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and
with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, “Are we sure this is a
good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"

Ron
I don't know about you, but I forget everything that Tru has ever posted except his b****ing about work and moving 300 tons for stone one pebble at a time.

Hopefully he has given mouth-to-mouth on his Cobra to revive it. Nothing worse than a dead Cobra.

Tru - I've got another relay coming tomorrow. I'll take you up on your kind offer if this one does not fix the problem.

Once I get my headlights working ... watch out ... the midnight stalker will be on the loose.

Wink 3 course meal

When you have a 3 course meal, the best second course is a one hour ride in the Cobra thru a twisty mountain road. Had a salad first.

Time for my 3rd course, and its not PNB&J Kristen. Its leftover corned beef dinner. Hash for tomorrow breakfast

Unhappy

Darn Tru,

You are having a run of bad luck lately. Did the garage door do any damage to the truck? Is it electric of manual? Nice thing about electric ones is if they hit anything they will reverse and leave no damage. Now ask me how I know. Hope the Cobra is back to life by now.

Cobra has no dash at the moment. I am looking to do the T56 move.

The door went down as I was backing, took the bottom section out. Spent half an hour unbolting it and removing it from the garage.

I'll call the insurance company and have them figure it out. Darnest thing, it was like someone pushed the button as I was backing. Never had this happen before.
