If you get one let me know the brand and size of the screen and how you like it. I may at a later date decide to give this big 37" CRT one which it takes two people to lift, weighs 260 pounds per the book, to the church or some person who needs a TV and get on of the slimmer ones myself.

Also why don't you try posting the question on here asking about them. I know there are a lot of people that have them and know people that can tell you what to look for and what to avoid.

That's one of the aspects of the LCD type we liked, I think they have a kit to mount it on the wall.

Weekend Weather Report,

Cold, overcast, possibility of light to heavy rain at times with some fog. It is definitely cold right now and is only foggy, but the fog is so wet it is like a heavy mist. I don't know if the sun will break through today or not, but still have about 1 1/2 hours before it is due to come up over the mountains. There will be no driving for sure.

Yeah, same here, 25 outside and chance of snow.

This is my first four day weekend in ten years where I orchestrated it by getting a comp day. I got to sleep in...like Warren does.

Tru,

Now with all of that extra rest you can go TV shopping.

I can sleep anywhere. I fell asleep one time in the front passenger seat of a car. I had my right hand proped up in the open window and my head upright resting on my arm. My friend (the driver) hit me because he had been talking to me for about 5 minutes and discovered I was asleep.

I also fell asleep in the church at my sisters wedding. About 10 years ago, I was at a meeting in work with my boss. Boy was the meeting boring. My boss nudged me halfway thru the meeting and wispered in my ear, "If you are going to sleep thru the meeting, at least stop snoring."

Bought a cheap TV for now at Sears. A 27 inch normal CRT on sale at $150 with a 10% reduction to $135 with charge to Sears card. The guy asked me about an extended warranty. I laughed and said if it breaks, I'll just throw it out the window and it should roll to the curb for trash pick-up. I'll wait until 2008 to get a monster plasma/LCD/hi-def whizbang TV.

Boy its cold out ... only 46 ºF, but I felt like driving more this afternoon because I filled up with gas (from dead empty) and it was ONLY $30.00

Warren,

I think most of us are going to have a lot less nice driving days from now on. It is up to 50 here this morning at 3:30, but still foggy and sprinkling. And somewhat depressing as I just haven't felt really great the last few days, I think I am going to run away.

Looks like it caught up to you Warren.

Mike Z! Good someone is doing some driving.

I think I am going to do a bunch of farm stuff...getting ready for winter.

Ron, I don't know as if I will be "shopping" for a TV, but I will be looking.

Tru,

I look at them every time I go into the store. This 37" CRT one I have is great and just 8 months old but it is so darn big and heavy it takes at least two people to move it off the stand. I also have to take the bedroom door off to get it out. I like the thin LCD type and one of these days if I can find one that I can afford and can get some help I may just buy one and move this big heavy one out front and give it to someone who needs one. I do like the 37" size as it is just right for the distance from where I lay in bed to watch it.

we are just now getting into our beautiful driving weather!!

Dallas group met yesterday. Had fun!! About 13 cobra's, coupe, and a couple of other additions. Met at Keith Craft's Dallas shop- then off to On The Border. Just yesterday washed the dial-in # off the windshield- need to remove my temp. meatball. Hate to let go of Run n Gun.... what a great time!

have a great day!!

Darn Kristen,

Your weather gets great just as ours goes to pot. That On The Border doesn't happen to be part of the new Texas Internet set up to patrol the border does it. I can just see it now. A bunch of Cobras with guns bristling going back and forth along the border.

Cobras on the Border. Sounds like a good movie title to me.

47 ºF makes for a cool ride. Had to go about 5 miles to get the water and oil up to temperature. Brrrrr. But great horsepower weather.

Time to watch some football.

I love monday's. (most of the time)
life gets back to normal around here.

Peter's home sick today.

I'm off to gym, grocery store, regular stuff.
see ya'll later.
We had steady rain all night. First good rain in quite awhile. Those occasional scattered storms we've had don't do much except make the grass slightly greener. we need a bunch of rain!!

We managed to get our meet in- albeit with overcast skies. And the school carnival was successful, without rain. #3 had a couple of projects we had to work on yesterday. And, we are finally going thru a couple of bookcases with baby/toddler books on them. We will keep the special ones, and donate the gently used but less read picture books to headstart of something.
It's a good thing when you have so many books you can donate them.
my girls are excited about it, too. They've done the first 'sort', I'll follow up with it, and see if the boys have any special ones they want to pick out.

have a good day, folks, and Ron, maybe the day will clear up.
K
Mike Z. good to see you post the other day. You don't come by often enough.

Kristen,

Actually now the forecast is for rain tomorrow and overcast most of today. But this is about the closest we have had to normal weather here in a year as it is time for us to start having overcast and cool days. We just don't have a lot of really nice driving days with the heat in the Summer and all the rain in the Winter. I guess I will go up to COSTCO later and pick up my nerve medicine. Might look at a couple of things in other stores while I am up there.

Hey Ron, good to see you posting....hope you are feeling a little better.....did yoy ever get the e-mail answer I sent you about the signature line??

************************************************** **********

Ed was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really ticked. She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE".

The next morning Ed got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a small box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.

Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.

Funeral services for Ed have been scheduled for next Friday.

Earl,

Thanks and yes I received the e-mail. I thought that I had answered it but must have forgotten to. Senility is not good.

Fred,

Just for kicks kiss one of the frogs and see what it turns into.
