Brent,
What car are you wanting to ship and where? If it is one that can be driven, you might find a friend who would drive it there for you for just the cost of the trip. Otherwise Warren pretty well covered the ways to do it.

Least expensive is to drive the car of it is setup to be on a highway. Next is to trailer it and last is to ship via carrier.
Warren, have you been to India??

My turtle is aerodynamically built to withstand a tornado.
Only got to 50 ºF today with a little rain in the AM.
But tomorrow is supposed to be 65 ºF and partly cloudy. Oh boy ... 13 rides in November. Ain't life grand when Pele and the Mt Shasta Goddess are bothering other people.
Tru - no I was never in India, but I have talked with many people who live there and/or have been there on long business trips.
Time for supper .... huuuuummmmmmmm .... spaghetti and meatballs? Arrinchino? How about we start with some tortellini soup! Yummmmmmmm

Well, I have 4 cars. The 911 will get sold. One of the others will get trailered behind the Durango. I will need another driver or ship the last car. I have had a couple volunteer to drive the Cobra, but getting it to Wisconsin this time of year would be a bit, well, brisk. I may just find another driver. How much is by train?

The First Christmas Joke of the Season
C.G. close your eyes
The First Christmas Joke of the Season
Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates.
"In honor of this holy season," Saint Peter said, "you must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven."
The first man fumbled through his pockets and pulled
out a lighter. He flicked it on. It represents a candle, he said.
You may pass through the pearly gates Saint Peter said.
The second man reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys. He
shook them and said, "They're bells."
Saint Peter said you may pass through the pearly gates.
The third man started searching desperately through his pockets and finally
pulled out a pair of women's panties. St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked, "And just what do those symbolize?"
The man replied, "These are Carols."
And So The Holiday Season Begins....

If you already have a volunteer to drive one of the cars, why do you care how brisk it will be?
I assume the heater works in the Durago.

They only volunteered to drive the Cobra. Two aunts actually. Now if they would drive my wifes car instead, we would be set as I can tow the Cobra easily. You are right though, if they are willing...

Brent,
Several year ago the Kit Car Magazine ran an article about a man who came over from Hawaii and drove his car all the way from Oakland to Florida and then up the Eastern Sea Coast and back through the Northern Route in Winter. He had some beautiful pictures of the Cobra in the Grand Tetons with all of the snow, except he was a little blurred from all of the shaking. My favorite part was when he came out of the motel one morning and had to go borrow an ice pick to get the ice of the steering wheel and pedals and then use something so he could get the key in to start the car. He had no top nor heater in the car either.
Is there any way you could make an early trip back and tow the Cobra and than come back and get everything else finished up. That is how a friend of mine that moved to Missouri about a year ago did it. He made three trips towing his cars and then came back and got everything here in order and just had his pick up and trailer left to take back.

Well I am glad to see that the Mt. Shasta Goddess has decided to punish you for laughing about the lousy weather we are having here. Barely into the 40s in the afternoon and the low 30s and upper 20s in the morning. Yesterday the cold wind blew hard all day but so far this morning here isn't much.
I hope to hear something tonight about the babies but am afraid it won't be good.
Tru,
You have to keep up better. You know this thread changes about every six posts.

Yeah, well Kristen wasn't aware Brent was going somewhere either.
As far as the weather is concerned, we are supposed to get 4 - 8 inches of snow on friday...oh...that's tomorrow.
Where is Brent???

Kristen,
I wasn't referring to you about laughing at our lousy weather. Mostly Warren and Fred bragging about their great days and drives. Tru is having lousy weather too and hasn't had much chance for driving I don't think. I hope the weather there doesn't get to bad. As for Warren, I think he has about 2 feet of snow and very cold temperatures coming his way soon.

Kristen,
The game you tried to upload has the wrong format. It is in an Excel format ie .XLS and not acceptable to the posts. I may try to see if I can change the format in my photo program later, but doubt if it would work as this one can be played when off line. However you can attach it to an e-mail and send it to anyone that you want to.

Warren,
Thanks and enjoy the ride. I am freezing. As for zipping the file I don't have any zip program loaded in this computer except the putting a file into a zip folder and that doesn't change the file extension. I use them when attaching files to e-mails as they do compress the files a little and it takes less space than attaching four or five files individually.
We won't see 60 degrees again for a long time according to the long range forecast. It is supposed to get up into the low 50s later in the weekend, but also scattered rain and snow showers are possible.
