K
She is still happy and wagging her tail.
It's tough to replace that kind of love.

The "Gene Simmons" dog on the left is Cletus, an abandoned dog. Next to him is Kiyalea, who also happens to be my avatar, and Augie, my 13-year-old hound mix.

Kristen,

So sorry to hear about Dottie. I still don't know if I will have to have Sherry put to sleep but should find out more Monday. Teddy seems to be recovering from the surgery as well as can be expected, whatever that meant. I myself am ready for this whole month and year to be over with as it has not been a good one for me in many ways.

Dottie died??

That is bad news, sorry to hear about that.

We got our "winter prep" stuff a little more complete. 1600 pounds of salt, 140 pounds of gas.

Do you own a highway, or are you trying to make Lake Michigan into a big bowl of soup?

Tru,

I think we are getting the edge of your weather. No snow, but cold as all get out and raining lightly. The rain is supposed to keep on for the next four days. At least I don't have to salt my driveway when we do have snow. It slopes down into the street and I can just pull out from under the car canopy and slide to the street.

The driveway is 1000 feet long.

When was the last time you all had to make a piece of furniture??

Exclamation

1000 ft ... holy $hit, Batman.

My driveway is 60 feet long. In fact, the area of your driveway is bigger than my entire house lot ....

Almost went for a ride, but just as it hit 50 ºF, the clouds came in and the temps dropped fast. Its now 36 ºF.

Furniture hand-made ... never. Although I did make 6 new wooden screens for the front porch and one cellar window this fall. What did you make?

Shall we start calling you Norm?

Tru,

If it counts as furniture I have made my fish tank stand and a couple of small tables in the past few years. The fish tank stand I can't take full credit for as it was a cheap one and I used most of their parts and then built it with better and heavier stuff and added a couple of shelves.

Warren,

My driveway is just 55 feet long and 45 feet wide and paved. But as I said, it slopes gently down to the street. Remember Tru lives on a farm and they always call their dirt roads driveways even if they are 1/4 mile or 5 miles.
Weather here is really crappy. cold and raining most of the time, but not just pouring. The latest forecast is for this to continue until Thursday.

Ron
