Ron,
You being such a hard core rock and roll guy,you might understand what I've been trying to get done the last few days.
My son,Josh, has always been into the classic type rock n roll.Has no use for the new 'music'.
There are two bands he would do most anything to see :The Police and Van Halen.
The Police just got back together for ONE tour and are coming to Dallas June 26.Van Halen are talking about getting back together for a Tour.
Best Buy is the promoter for The Police. They have a 'Rewards" program. If a member you got first crack (pre-sale) at the tickets. This was Wednesday at 10 am.
Didn't get any. (I seem to say that a lot lately )
They go back on sale today at 10 am to the General Public.
Josh doesn't care where the seats are.
If he could hear them from the parking lot,he would be fine.
Sure hope I can pull it off in about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

You may have seen this before but still a good one.
A U.S. Marine rifle squad was marching north of Fallujah when they came upon an Iraqi terrorist, badly injured and unconscious.
On the opposite side of the road was an American Marine in a similar but less serious state.
The Marine was conscious and alert, and as first aid was given to both men the squad leader asked the injured Marine what had happened.
The Marine reported: "I was heavily armed and moving north along the highway, when headed south was a heavily armed insurgent. We saw each other and both took cover in the ditches along the road."
I shouted "Saddam Hussein is a miserable, lowlife scumbag!"
And he screamed back in broken English: "Ted Kennedy is a good-for-nothing, fat, drunken, left wing, liberal infidel."
I hollered back:
"Osama Bin Laden dresses and acts like a frigid, mean-spirited lesbian!"
He responded: "Oh yeah? Well, so does Hillary Clinton!"
"And, there we were, in the middle of the road shaking hands, when a truck hit us."

enjoyed calling and 'hassling' you! missed you at the meet, and there were a lot of folks, and the crowd is a nice, positive group. Maybe you can make the next one....

Hi all,
Tru,
Yes I will make the 'Gun N Gun'. But I just cannot get to London, Ohio as the work here at the restaurant is on a sign off, so I must be here to do a full walk through and equipment check.
Normally I can get away anytime - Anne lets's me in fact encourages me - but this has been a funny 12 months with so much going on.
Apartments finished and selling. House purchases and moves it's crazy. It will be all over soon.
Hope you enjoy London and say hello to Hershal, Jay, Kristen and all the gang. I was kinda looking forward to heading across on the big road trip with Hershal...
Have some other big news and will start a new 'Post' for that.
Take care mate
Bernie

Well from now on you will need to show me the respect that an elder stateman is shown........
I'm about to become a Grandfather.
Yes my eldest daughter who was married in November last year left for her Honeymoon in December to Europe. She told me it was going to be cold over there and her and husband Jason would find something to do if it was to cold out...
Whoaaa Nikki is due in late August which is great news.
All is going well and she has been to the Doctor and had all the tests done and I was told that we can tell everyone. So there.
I think Pa sounds OK. being a little over 50 years old I thought well being a Grandfather is pretty good as I'll still be young enough to watch Nikki's kids give her hell as teenagers...
Damn I think I'll even encourage them to give her hell..
So there how's that for some great news.
It was not only Anne and I who have been busy ehhh.

Some people are better than others at hassling.
You have it down to a science.

Mid-court,14 rows up from the floor.
We are going to see Larry The Cable Guy in two weeks !

Bernie,
Congratulations. Now is your golden opportunity to spoil the grand kids and let their parents see what you went through. Best wishes to the new parents and I hope that everything goes very well. That is just great news and I am happy for you.

Bernie, you will be missed...again.
I'll pass along your wishes and your good fortune.
Fred, you only live once, grab as much as you can at each moment. That concert will probably be great.
Erich's team won the regional championship. Now it is off to states.
I swear, it snows after each plowing.

Tru,
Just came inside from doing some mowing. I decided to see if I could get one of the lawnmowers to start and I had enough gas to knock down some high weeds that have shot up during the past two sunny days. We had a hard wind all day yesterday and I couldn't get out in it, but so far today no wind and just a light overcast. All in all, a really nice day.

beautiful day today. mid 60's i think, but the wind is picking up.
would like the wind to lie low at least once!!!
At the Dallas meet yesterday my cobra buddies called J. Ellis, the GM at Ford dealership, and hassled him a little. it was fun! He's getting good advertising, right?????
anyway, saw him at our school's annual auction last night, and wore my new Tshirt- Shelby gt 500 written, with a white/blue stripe gt on the front. big. noticeable. he laughed.......
poor guy! 3 guys have bought Ford GT's from him, and they're all hassling him, as well as Gary S., THE Ford rep for Dallas he 'answers to' (parts, etc. not new cars). So they are all laughing and having a good time, and here i sit, with no car!
About had a heart attack yesterday. Major anxiety. will write about it later.
gotta go!

Of course I did get my ride in yesterday. Tried to post it yesterday but this site was down for the count. Took a ride into Boston and tried to get close to the aircraft carrier JFK. No chance. The area was mobbed. The carrier is being decommissioned. Too bad. But there is talks about bringing her back to Boston as a museum. Old Ironside and JFK .. that would be nice.
Here is a picture I took at one of the many beaches in Quincy. The temps got all the way up to 59 ºF. I had two cops talk to me yesterday. One was directing traffic while I was stopped at a red light. The second was warning me to slow down when he pulled me over about 1 mile from my house. No ticket, thank you.
Also a nice pic in downtown Boston. This is near the waterfront, but not too many people milling around when I was there.

Warren,
After a month or so of pushing your Cobra around, you must be getting in pretty good shape.
Another month or so we will be seeing you on COPS.
Can see it now...Lights & siren on,dash cam focused in on you.One hand on the steering wheel, the other holding on to the windshield and you stepping up on the sidepipes at the start of a downhill run.The mic picking up your voice yelling VAROOM VAROOM.

Fred
I can burn rubber in all 5 gears. Too bad the Cobra cannot.
But at least I go for rides. I do not hang around with my turtle all day like you do with Frenchy. The weather yesterday was excellent. Looking at the extended forecast, I do see another "window of oppourtunity" for another 2 weeks. Boooooooooooooooooooooo!
Maybe I'll change the oil and grease the Cobra. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr. Too cold out now! No heat in the garage yet!

Yea, we had one nice day here and I had to spend it getting ready for the Summer if it ever gets here. I have to fill my 1 1/2 gallon gas can soon while I can still afford to. Gas prices out here are going up daily and I expect to see it at $3 a gallon very soon. And the so called tourist months are still in the far future. No matter, I won't be doing much driving any more anyway.
