Wonder if Fred and Warren would buy it for us. Warren has his car to nice and pretty to drive any more. Wonder when he will post the picture of it next to the Empire State Building.

Yes to brass ****s, no to pasting pictures, yes you can be jealous. My wheels do rotate, except when they are in the garage. Supposed to be sunny with temp between 65 and 70 this weekend! Maybe time for a ride?????

Warren,
I hope that your weather is what is is supposed to be. It sure sucks here for the big car show. Cold, rain, wind, and just nasty. But starting Monday, of course, we are supposed to be heading into a heat wave that will bring temperatures into the upper 80s and maybe higher if it continues. Of course that is just our weather forecaster saying this so it doesn't mean much until it happens.

Sunny and warming up here this weekend. Supposed to be 66°F on Saturday and 70°F on Sunday. Guess I'll have to go to the garden store and get some annuals.

You don't need annuals for planting. The ground is what you feet are standing on. Just put the seeds in it and water. I can send you some star thistle if you wold like something that is very water efficient.

Yea, I've done the seed thing before, but unless you start them inside in February, there is no color until the fall. I probably spend at least $250 a year in annuals, but the yard really looks nice.
Got to get my tomato plants in the ground and growing. Drove 12 miles to my favorite farm stand yesterday that grows their own hot house tomatoes during the winter. Boy are they good, but $9.65 for 5 tomatoes is a little expensive.
Star thistle - no thanks. I'm about to rip out the first foot of grass next to the street to "try" to eliminate the crab grass. Got to plant an extremely heat tolerant grass. The black tar really heats up and drys out that narrow strip next to the street, and crab grass loves that heat.

You are right about that. Crab Grass is almost as hard if not harder to kill than the star thistles. I have found it works well to dig it up, go up to Mt. Lassen and toss it into one of the sulphur vents. None of that has ever returned yet.

Tru,
Is all that rock for your driveway so you can get your Cobra to the highway to take a ride ?
Went down the street and got my annual safety inspection sticker.Had 10 days left.
Went for 1.5 hours ride.
Filled back up on the way home,7.57 mpg
Upper 70's and P/C.
And now back to the flower discussion......

Fred
Glad to see you taking a ride. Tru uses his Cobra to transport rock throughout his farm. Regarding flowers ... ya, I like to garden. Its good exercize, and it looks good. Here is a photo from two years ago

It is in the mid 70s here and I went up and browsed through the cars that are here for the show tomorrow, when it is supposed to be raining quite hard. They had the stage full of Mustangs and the Shelby GT-500 was white with blue stripes, but with the black background they came out looking almost black in the picture. I should be out doing things and maybe driving the 69 some more but just don't really feel in the mood.

That really is a nice looking front yard.
How much time do you have to put into it to get an keep it like that ?
Hey,I like flowers.
I even had one one time.Think it was about 10 years ago now.
Had it for about 1.5 years.I was going down to the beachhouse for a month and asked my Mom to look after it.1 cup of water, once a week.No big deal.
When Josh and I got back it was deader than a door nail.
Her "blackthumb" was known statewide.
I thought with such simple care it might stand a chance.
Nope - Not a chance in hell.

Fred,
Star thistles have flowers. And no one could let one of them die in a month or so.

Tru,
Now you have me wondering. If all of Warren's gardening is plastic, I wonder if Turtle is too.
