Thanks Tru,

I have to admit that right now with all the pain in my shoulder and the loss of Sherry and Teddy I really just have no feelings inside. The car thing is just another loss to forget abut and I am not even concerned about it. If I can just make it through the DMV mess tomorrow then they can park the car and cover it up for all I care. I just want to get back some feeling inside and get the pain in my shoulder to ease off enough that I can use my right arm. Thank goodness the Comet is an automatic and I can drive it with just my left hand and arm. Once I get through tomorrow, if I do, then I am going to start looking for a new puppy as I am starting to see some adds for Poms in the paper so they are starting to come into season now.

Tru,

The AKC breeders seem to have certain puppies at certain times of the year. For example the paper has been full of German Shepherds and now I don't see to many of them but other breeds are starting to show up.
Well whatever happens this morning at the DMV will have a huge impact on what time I have remaining. Wish me luck. I seem to have had a huge shortage of it the past 5 months. Shoulder is still hurting so bad I hate to breathe, but that is the least of my problems.

Well back from the DMV and what a pleasant surprise. I was second in line and first for title transfer and the woman opened the door 10 minutes early and took me to the right spot. There was a very pleasant young girl there and she was really nice and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Could gave been a little quicker but they had to pick me up off the floor when she told me the price of the title transfer. However I now own a California legal Daytona Coupe that may never run again. Anyone needing parts contact me.

Dude, worse case, have them change it to a carb and distributor and go from there.

Great to hear the morning was a positive.

I personally can attest to the fact that it has been a challenging day.

So, Ron, get that thing running and venture out my way. Come visit for a couple of days and relax.

Ron,
It sounds like they mistook you for someone else.

Tru has the right idea. Change it over and drive it.

I am just going to let the thing set. I don't really care that much about it right now. It was running good until Tony took it to Bill to have that work done and I still think they have just messed the computer up and none of them know what to do. And if and when he ever gets it running, they still have the headlights, air conditioning, and stereo to get fixed, which shouldn't take more than a day. But for the time being, I just am not to much concerned about cars. I will just write it off as an expensive mistake if they can't find how to get it running.

Geez ROn, what did this cost...if I may ask.

I think you should change the mode of operation to:

Get the car running.
go over and get that puppy.
Train it to yip at girls as you tool along in the coupe.

"Always look at the bright side of life. dum-ta-dum--dum-ta-dum" Everybody now...

You just can't get that same feeling on those musicals.

Tru,

I am looking for puppies now. The DMV experience was a pleasant one and now I don't have to worry about the car any more, so I can start trying to get my life back together. This won't be the first time I have made an expensive mistake. But the bright side is it will be the last one as I am now flat broke.

I put a new damper on the Cobra. Not sure I like it. I ran it a bit, but I wasn't able to take it out.

Where in the wide world of Turtles is Warren?

Probably taking it easy on that leg. I am sure my shoulder would heal a lot faster if I would stop using my arm so much. And I don't even have a Turtle to talk to.

Yea, me too. If this darn shoulder hurts any worse I won't even be able to move. It has started to get better and felt pretty good yesterday until after I mowed the lawns. Now I am back where I started. The forecast is for showers the rest of the week and that would be good.

Up at 4 AM as the shoulder is really hurting and my right leg has that darn nerve pinched in the hip again and it is burning like fire. Also thunder, lightening, and a light rain falling. Looks like the perfect day to just lay in bed if I can get the shoulder and hip to ease off enough to lay down.
I did find that one of the top Pom breeders in the country lives about three blocks from the Enterprise Computer that I helped install many years ago and she has won shows all over the country. I talked to her for quite a while yesterday and she invited me out to see her two show winners and said she was n ow to old to do all of the traveling but breeds dogs for show and pets. She said she would have two litters due in the fall and both of them would breed mostly black. Also invited me to come over and see her dogs and visit when I am able to get out some. And she was going to call some other breeders and see what they might have right now. I told her I was not in a rush and could wait until hers came, but would like to see some. So God permitting and my health improving, maybe in a few months I can find another Pom. In fact I may get two as they seem to live longer and be healthier if they have company to play with and just be around. And at my age I am sure I will one day be getting baby dinosaurs as they are due to make a come back in a few thousand years.

Tru
Have you ever seen the price for dinosaur food in the supermarket? No wonder they went extinct.

Tru,

I would laugh but Warren set my shoulder recovery back two weeks yesterday with an e-mail. And of course greed was around even back when I first came here. For 6 colored rocks you could sell anything. So our early greed made your gasoline possible. Time to start over now but with a new bunch. I can hardly set up and breathe this morning the shoulder hurts so bad. It went from 88 here two days ago to 39 this morning. Also overcast and showers forecast for the rest of the week.

I am going to fetch the older son, so I am thinking 24 hours of driving.

Dino food has gone up like everything else. It that darn shipping costs.

We are going to be canning this year more than we usually do.
