Josh (16) is taking his first Driving School at Texas Motor Speedway today.
Registration was at 8:45.
He called saying TMS wasn't open yet.He was parked next to the Guard booth and only the guard and him were around.
Looked at my watch and it was
7:15 am !!!
I think he is pumped up for it and more than ready to go.

He tried but I put Frenchy in the driver's seat.I knew that would stop him.He has made some rather rude & crude comments about her have an assortment of diseases. He wasn't about to touch her to move her out of the way.
Don't understand why people pick on that poor French Ho Frog.

Fred,
You are disgusting. You will do anything to keep Josh from driving the Cobra. Just think how much better driver he would be with a regular car after he masters the Cobra. On a safe course of course.
Kristen,
Welcome Home! Just passing through again or will you be staying for a few days?

That weather is really getting crazy isn't it. Frenchy would have enjoyed it but I am not so sure about Fred. I hope that it didn't hit his place and that no more were injured or killed than what I first heard. It was 100 here yesterday, so talk about extremes.

It was a bit north of Fred and me, but pretty bad, by the sounds of it. We didn't even get a drop of rain out of it.
bizarre!!!!

Well at least you got a break. The way the weather is going I don't know if anyone knows where and what is going to happen next. One of the small towns up in this area is out of water already. They could use some of that rain.

No rain here for about a week.
I was outside doing some work in the yard, and the thermometer said 78 °F. Too nice, so lets go for a ride. I got 2 stinking miles away from the ocean and the temperature was 92 °F. Waaaaaaaaaaaa ... no sea breeze.
U-turn time and rode around for 45 minutes and never got more than 1/4 mile from the ocean keep 'em rollin' Rawhide!

Warren,
They have special Frog Crossings marked on the tracks. Each Frog you get is .1 second off your lap time. You should watch the cars running off into the grass trying to collect as many Frogs as they can get.

I doubt it was because of any high regard for turtle lives.
After reading all the stuff that went on with one driver there,Miles,he was pretty serious about trying to squash a frog.
He certainly forged new trails in the Great Frog Chase.
From what I read one frog hide behind a railroad tie spike and jumped clear just before Miles hit the spike, taking out his oil cooler.

Both wrong. Actually it is Cats 1 the rest nothing. Down by the post office yesterday someone had ran over a cat and hit their breaks while the tire was on the cat. There was blood and pieces strung for about 10 feet that ended in just a ball of fur and some skin. What a mess.

hi!
fred, you got it right! Miles was avoiding the frogs and turtles and hit that spike instead!
I came around the backside of the track a couple of different times where there were turtles crossing the track!
I seem to have a reputation developing in our DFW group for straddling the turtles.
not sure where i got that, tho'.
must be something about that cruise we took back in April- zillions of turtles then, too, but alas no FROGS!
how was the driving school for Josh??
Peter is at soccer camp right now. He gets home this evening, and then both boys leave for scout camp on Sunday.

So far we've talked about cars hitting cats, frogs and turtles. But what happens when an animal hits you? This HAS to leave a big mark!
