Just something to think about.

Hi Guys, I don't know where this originated, but it sounds like a great idea!

URINE TEST............

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem.

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them??

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sitting on their butt, doing drugs, while I work... Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check ?????

What a nice day for a ride. I went up to the new condo area at the high point of Quincy to see if there were any good vistas for photos. Not really but here is a shot at good old Quincy Granite.

Here is a shot of the entrance to the condo area ... I like the Cobra with colorful flowers in the background.

Across the street is an Elks lodge and they have a gazebo in the back portion of the lot.

Even in an empty parking lot about 200 yards from the street, a Cobra attracts admirers. The wife said she did not know how to drive a 5 speed, and the husband immediately said he would teach her if he could buy a Cobra!

OK, its getting late. Time for supper.

Fred
I made up the plexiglass wind blocker over the winter, using some brackets made by another CC lurker, Rob Frink. It does help cut down some of the wind, but I really want to make some oversized side wings. At my height, my head is really up in the air (no, I'm not an air-head, dude!).

Here is link to brackets

Warren,

Nice pictures as usual. The wind blockers look good. As for the over sized side wings, be careful you don't get them to large were the wind can either work the brackets loose or crack the screw holes in the wing itself.

Remember this is a report from the news media and I don't know if it is accurate or not. I am not posting it to start a big argument or debate, just as an informative post on what the L.A. Times printed.

Ron

From the L.A. Times

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County ( L.A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.
(There are 10.2 million people in L.A. County ).

(All of the above are from the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.

Over 70% of the United States ' annual population growth (and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York ) results from immigration.

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens

We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue.

WHY CAN'T WE SEND THEM HOME

Ron,
I can't believe Texas is not mentioned somewhere as having a very high illegal population.

In the schools here there is a proposal now for it to be taught in both languages as 45% of the students cannot understand what the teachers are teaching. 45%

That is another reason why our children are home schooled. I do realize we are still paying taxes for the illegals to have an education but because we homeschool, I do not have to worry about second graders taking 9MM handguns to school.

This has gotten out of hand and Bush thinks it's OK.
(Business as usual)

Steve,

It is much the same here. They are trying to get it so the teachers in this area have to speak Mexican, and we don't even have nearly the amount they do is Southern Calif. We have had two incidents of kids taking a gun to school this last year, but thank God one of the other kids turned them in both times and the police were waiting for them. Dam, it is bad enough to have to carry a gun to go grocery shopping, but to school is really bad. And don't forget Arizona and the other states that have high illegal populations. I believe that in a few years southern California will no longer be a state but a part of Mexico.

Some things you should've..........

............learned by now:

1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
2. Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often.
3. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian anymore than standing in a garage makes you a car.
4. Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.
5. If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.
6. My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance.
7. Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious.
8. It is easier to get forgiveness than permission.
9. For every action, there is an equal and opposite government program.
10. If you look like your passport picture, you probably need the trip.
11. Bills travel through the mail at twice the speed of cheques.
12. A conscience is what hurts when all of your other parts feel so good.
13. Eat well, stay fit, die anyway.
14. Men are from earth. Women are from earth. Deal with it.
15. No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes.
16. A balanced diet is a biscuit in each hand.
17. Middle age is when broadness of the mind and narrowness of the waist change places.
18. Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.
19. Junk is something you've kept for years and throw away three weeks before you need it.
20. There is always one more imbecile than you counted on.
21. Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognise a mistake when you make it again.
22. By the time you can make ends meet, they move the ends.
23. Thou shalt not weigh more than thy fridge.
24. Someone who thinks logically provides a nice contrast to the real world.
25. It's not the jeans that make your bum look fat.
26. If you had to identify, in 1 word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, & never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be "meetings".
27. There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".
28. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.
29. You should not confuse your career with your life.
30. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.
31. Never lick a steak knife.
32. The most destructive force in the universe is gossip.
33. You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we put the clocks back.
34. You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.
35. There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age eleven.
36. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above average drivers.
37. A person, who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person.
38. Your friends love you anyway.
39. Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.
