Warren,
Have fun at the car show. We don't have any around here until next month in Weaverville. I think there is one in Paradise too but am not sure. They just don't advertise them any more except the big one in April that lasts all week.

Tru,
You still have August before Winter gets here. Of course the way the weather is any more it may be snowing by August. Better get in some rides while you can.

Just in case you didn't know.
I always wondered about this, now I know!
For centuries, Hindu women have worn a spot on their foreheads. We have always naively thought that it had something to do with their religion.
The Indian Embassy in Washington, D.C. has recently revealed the true story. When a Hindu woman gets married, she brings a dowry into the union.
On her wedding night, the husband scratches off the spot to see whether he has won a convenience store, a gas station, a donut shop or a motel in the United
States.
If not, he must take a job in India answering telephones giving technical advice.

Have fun K
Fred - amazing that I got that same joke via e-mail about 2 hours before you posted it!
Tru - take your meds.
Ron - car show was really nice. Great weather! About 8 Cobras (2 real, 6 faky-do's), 15 Shelby Mustangs including FOUR GT-350H models three new Ford GT's and an R-code Mustang. About 6 Shelby Dodges and one Shelby VW. The only Shelby product not there was his chili. Total turnout of about 90 cars. Will post some pics on a new thread in the NE Cobra section.

Fred, I am sorry to say, I heard that one already.
But, it was good having you tell it here, where Warren can spend hours trying to figure it out.

Fred,
Good one about the Hindu Women. I hadn't seen that one yet. The sign should have branched off in several directions.
Warren,
Sounds as if the car show was really nice. Glad that you had good weather and got to go.
Kristen,
Enjoy your time in the wilds. When you live in Texas just where do you go that is considered the wilds?

Daddy, How was I born?
A little boy goes to his father and asks "Daddy, how was I born?"
The father answers: "Well son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:
'You got Male!'

Ron,
In Texas to get to the "wilds" you simply go out into the back yard.
K
Have fun. Don't forget to take a map.

Ron, you need to find some stories that are not so circulated.
Glad you posted that one, I was trying to figure out how to explain the whole process to Warren.

Tru,
I don't look these things up. I receive them in e-mails and just post some of them. If you are going to use it to explain to Warren, then you had best add some pictures.
Steve,
That is almost like where I live. I have to go about 1/4 mile to be in the dangerous zones.

I hear that you have some competition. The latest Harry Potter book sold 8.3 million copies the first day in the USA. Are your sales a close second?
Went for a nice 85 mile drive yesterday. Went thru some beautiful towns on the north shore of Boston. Pics later.

Warren,
If you have enough money to buy gas for an 85 mile ride you have to much. Send me some.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Just a few pictures to start the day off with. Don, was the one of the car and tree in Oregon?
The center picture was titled 4 Stages Of Life.
