Steve,
I think it was Captioned Learning to Spell or something like that. I believe I saved that e-mail as it had some other good pictures.
Warren,
Good morning. What kind of a night did you have that you could only last long enough to type two words?

Warren,
Sorry about that. I just got back from a breakfast of New York steak and eggs and now I am ready for a nap. We do have a great place here to eat and I almost couldn't eat all they had on the platter. Total with tip was $14. And the two young women that work there are car people and we have a great time chatting. Saw a really nice 1965 Mustang that some guy there had just had clear coated and it was spotless.

Big Explosion and fire here in Dallas this morning.
From the news:
The place is Southwest Gas
They sell and store all types of compressed gas.
Medical, welding, compressed oxygen, NO2, Nitrogen, Hydrogen ECT
The place blew up this morning. From what we know they were filling acetylene cylinders under water and a hose malfunctioned. Causing that one to ignite, and then the next one
, and then the next one.......
Fire dept is keeping a safe distance at this time. The cylinders are shooting like missiles several hundred yards from the site. They are cooking off like black cats....
At this time only three people were injured. The truck driver hurt his back jumping out of his truck, The shop owner and the shop manager were burned trying to cool down the remaining bottles. They are in critical condition but are expected to have full recoveries.
Busy morning for Dallas Fire and Emergency Services.

Steve,
I saw that on the news and wondered if any of you were close to it. It looks a lot like when the ammunition train blew up in Roseville out here during the Vietnam War. They had to stay back and move people quite a distance from the site until the bombs and ammo stopped going off then they could move in and fight the fires.

Warren,I heard that you were wanting an update on Frenchy.
There are a lot of Harleys down here on Mustang Island.Today Frenchy saw a girl riding one.
She was wearing a Do Rag.Of course, now Frenchy wants one too.She did some internet searches and found the one she wants.
What do you think ???

The cobra went sh!tty on me. For some reason, the carb is now spewing gas into the intake. I went 33 miles on 6 gallons of gas and the black smoke, I look like a deisel.
Looks like a new carb for the cobra.
I see every one seemed to give a full days report...all day.
I wish I could get a sale like that, I might do things differently.

Saw the fire on the news. Kaboom! Urban renewal.
Took a nice ride this evening, even though it was above 90°F and humid. I just had a case of cabin fever.
... anyone like flowers?

Tru,
Sorry to hear about your carb. Are you sure that you don't just have a valve stuck open in one end of it? That sounds exactly like what mine did once and we just took the valve out of the back float bowl and cleaned it and I never had the problem again. Besides that 5 Miles Per Gallon isn't bad.
Warren,
Nice pictures as usual. Why are there never any nice looking women in any of them?

2 Moons on August 27
*Two moons on 27 August*
*27th Aug the Whole World is waiting for...*
Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.
It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will
cultivate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth.
Be
sure
to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth
has 2
moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.
Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it
again.

Warren,
Great pics as usual. Looks like fun.
Ron,
Is this for real? I hadn't heard this. Or are you joking. Heck you saw it the last time it came that close didn't you?
Tru,
I would try some B-12 first. I am with ron on the stuck valve. I'd try that before spending a couple of bills on a new one.
Fred,
Are you back?
Jay,
I have heard some things. When I got my bottle for the wirefeed, they were very hard to deal with, so we left an I went elsewhere.
Oh... Morning Everyone... AND where in the heck is K?

Steve,
That was an e-mail I received from a man that used to work here and then moved back to Texas. I really don't know if it is so or not as I never bothered to go to Snopes or anywhere to check. And I probably saw the last 10 or 12 of them, but my memory is getting bad.
Kristen is roughing it in the wilderness. Probably in her back yard with a camper.

I have brass floats and I have talked to one of he Holley Carb guys. The brass floats will not stay sealed for forty years. What they think is the floats are sinking into the bowl.
I will have to do a rebuild. I used the brass to run juice without melting the plastic floats.
Well, I see that happens. Steve, carbs are pricy these days, a couple of bills will get you the overhaul kit.
Warren, you had a wonderful shot as a jab and you didn't take it, there is hope for you yet.
Yup Ron, the floats and PV are suspect.

Tru,
Warren's age is showing as he missed a shot at a jab. I guess he is starting to think like Turtle now. SLOW!!!
I hope the floats or one of the valves is the problem. I don't remember exactly what it cost but i believe the racing Carb that I had on my Cobra was around $600 and that was several years ago. I am sure that you can get them for less, but I got mine from Los Angles and they set it up on a dyno using the specs from my engine.
