My luck is all good. Before the rain started this afternoon, I went for a ride. Took a couple of videos and posted them in the NE Cobra Club section, just for you. Your flimsy excuses just do not make sense. If Wolfie had a broken leg, would you just leave him in the back yard because you do not have the money or the time to fix the problem? No.

I am going to call the ASPCA and have you arrested. ASPCA = American Shelby Preventing Cobra Assh**es.

Good morning if Monday is ever a good morning. Weekend was lousy for me as I seem to have a bit of a Summer Cold and just spent all day in bed. And no, I am not becoming another Warren. He at least gets out and goes for drives. And even though the temperature had dropped a huge amount from the 117+ range to the 101 to 104 range, it is still just to hot. The older I get the worse then heat bothers me. Maybe the aliens that left me here will return soon to take me back.

Fred,

I have felt so lousy lately it is hard for me to keep track of all of Warren's naps, drives, rests, and working on the car. I think he needs a vacation from his retirement.

I think Warren needs a real girlfriend so here California's version of a Rental Girlfriend.

I suppose Warren can be taken a number of ways.

To those who venture by every-so-often, he might appear to be...as he appears.

But over time, those who do visits daily, he has become the person we all percieve him to be.

I think I can do the Carb for $200.00. The side pipes are another story, I will have to experiment with welding.

Tru,

Is the crack in the actual side pipes or the header pipe? And are your pipes painted or chromed? If you can, how about posting a picture of the crack and where it is located? Hope the carb can be done for $200 as that is much cheaper than having to buy a new one.

Tru - thank you (I think). If you need any parts, just ask. Just weld up the pipes and give them a quick coat of paint. Wait until the winter if you want to have them ceramic coated.

Ron - hot babe! Does your girlfriend have any sisters? Looks a lot better than Frenchy.

Fred - you make it sound like I do nothing. Heck, at least I spend some time in the yard. Have to make things look nice so Turtle does not get up and leave.

Tough night last night. Fell asleep about 1 AM. Woke about 6 AM thunderstorm ... one flash and KABOOM. Nearly sh*t myself ... that was close. After my heart slowed down, I rolled over and went back to sleep. Woke up at 11:30 AM. Tough life when you only get about 10 hours of sleep. Biggest decision was whether to have breakfast or lunch. Decided on a nice tuna sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes.

Just finished watching Walker, Texas Ranger. Good show, even though its supposedly made in Dallas. That's Frenchy stomping grounds.

Oh, I almost forgot ... Good Afternoon!

Well, its 80°F outside, clear sky and the roads are dry. Hmmmmm. What can I do this afternoon? Take a nap? Naaaaa. How about doing some shopping? Yes, I need to do that. Which car should I take? Decisions, decisions ....

Warren,

Your lawn looks great. I heard that the older you get the less sleep you need. Must have been another fable based on the amount you get. Why isn't Turtle on top of the bush?

Oh, yea, the guy just called and they will be here tomorrow at 1:30 to seal my driveway. Won't be able to drive on it for a couple of days so will have to park the Comet in the upper driveway in the weeds.

Turtle likes it much better in the front yard as compared to sitting on top of a TV in Fred's house of ill repute.

Went for a short ride. Ride was terminated when it started to rain when I was going to shift into 4th at about 85 MPH. Time to limp home and wipe it down inside the garage. Only about 2 miles from house and it really did not rain .. just a light sprinkle. But at least I did get some good pictures down behind a park in Quincy, even though the sunlight was going bye-bye.

Warren,

Nice pictures as usual. Wish we could have some of your rain. You seem to have no end to nice backgrounds.

Gud morn all ... time for some breakfast.

Thanks Ron. The rain stopped as soon as I put the Cobra in the garage.

The background is the key to a good picture. I'm certainly not a photographer. I just point and shoot. Guess its something like sex! Gee, I remember that.

Living on the coast has its benefits, like good backgrounds for the Cobra pics. But I learned how hard it is to get the "perfect" beauty shot from my many years of work in the marketing field. But the digital camera makes it fun and cheap! It also gives me a good chance to get out and stretch every so often ... plus meet some nice people (even some of the males) that want to know more about the car.

WOW. I just checked to see how many pictures I have of the Cobra on my hard drive (plus other cars at shows). Only 3900

Time for breakfast. Fakey egg omelet and an english muffin sounds good.

Warren,

You had better start copying some of those pictures to CDs/ DVDs/or get an external hard drive to keep them on. I have about 7 CDs full of pictures but am thinking of getting an external hard drive to put them on as it is faster and will hold more. We have some nice places here for backgrounds but it is so hot all Summer that no one wants to get out at all, let alone in Cobras. One of the guys who has his for sale was taking a prospective buyer for a ride a few days ago and tried to impress him. I will see if I can find that link and post it.

Edit: Found the link. If you decide to sell a car, don't impress your prospective buyer this way.

I've got plently of room. My hard drive is 80 GB and I also have an external DVD drive I use for backups.

Poor little Cobra. Crunch!

You have plenty of good backgrounds, especially in the mountains. But what looks good in person regarding a long distance view is a lousy background in a picture.

Here are two of my favorite pics taken in Colorado. Note that Mt Rushmore is visible thru the tunnel in the second pic. I took them while I was on vacation out there a few years ago.

Warren,

Those are great shots. Now why don't you put your Cobra in one of them? The mountains do afford some great background shots. It just has to cool down enough for us to get outside to drive anywhere. And right now with the fire danger so high they are encouraging people to not go up in the mountains any more than they have to. In my case with this heat, I can't hardly stand it long enough to drive the three blocks to the post office in my Comet. And this afternoon they are supposed to be here to seal the driveway so I can't use it for two or three days.

Ron
Those were some nice tunnels I found on a 4 hr drive to nowhere. Boy, did I put some miles on the rent-a-car.

I also should have my driveway resealed. It been about 20 years

I'm tired of all your complaints about the pot growers, and heat and landslides and earthquakes and .......

Here is a really nice house about 4 houses away from me. Its on a relatively large lot for this area, and for sale by the owner. He made up a real nice web site.

http://www.224bellevue.com/

Sell your house, pack up the dogs with the Cobra and move to Quincy .. then you can legitimately ***** and moan about Kerry and Kennedy.

Well, its 81°F and sunny outside - guess what I'm going to do for the next 3 or 4 hours!

Is there some reason we seem to have pictures from "Better Homes and Gardens"?

I got a carb on it's way. It is coated yellow. I thought that was cool and, since I needed it, why not?

The crack is at the body mount. I am not sure if I can get it fixed without a whole new side pipe.

I could be back up and running in September if I am blessed with good fortune. You all pray for some good my way please and thank you.

Okay Warren, I had to reread the post of the number of pictures of your car.

That is excessive.

Warren,

I have driven my truck through that very tunnel. I have the exact same picture when we went for a family outing. We were gone almost three weeks though. It is a little further from my house

Ron,
I have seen that car before. Isn't that one of your friends cars. Seems like you posted some pictures of it before the crash. The big roll bar is similar to yours. Also is that a Classic Roadsters, or is it a on off. I recognize the doors but not the hood

Too bad about the car. But if no one got hurt ...
