Yea, I know it is just a skit he does about the car. Most people do not know they are really not 200 MPH cars though.
It was very funny to say the least.

Warren,
Now you really are in trouble. Tru - I just prayed to the My Shasta Goddess for some rain in your area. She doesn't like to be referred to as anyone's personal Goddess. By the way those are really nice pictures. That is one nice park and pond. Maybe in a year when I get my car back I can start going to a couple of places that I think would make some good pictures.

We could get some rain.
I had a misshap at the cardiologist yesterday. The nurse blew up my arm, I had an arm the size of a foot ball. So, I spent the night wrapped in ice packs, but it looks great now and only hurts a little.
No carb yet. Stove is still sitting ( I was out of commission ).
So, Ron...you need to have Brent Lykins look at your car. He is a HP expert and he knows FEs. I am sure it will be fine. What are you going to do with the FI stuff?
Thanks for the wishes for rain, I have joined you all.

Tru,
Darn, what did you do to that nurse to make her do that to your arm? But I am glad that it is getting ok now.
As for the car, it has a stroked 351 and not an FE in it. The fuel injection unit I will most likely give to Bill for some of what I am going to owe him. The long time frame is because I am in no hurry and at the moment Bill is snowed under with the racers and their engines as they get ready for the final pushes to try and win. I most likely won't be able to drive when he gets the car finished anyway.

Looks like rain is coming.
Thanks Ron, but I thought you intended to send it further north?

Steve,
I just saw that on the news. Looks as if you could get quite a bit if the storm doesn't change direction. We could sure use some of it out here. I think Warren has ticked the Goddess off at all of us.

Hey
I never said anything about Pele, and Hawaii is getting a hurricane. So it can't be my prayer. I also thought that Texas is currently drying out from swamp conditions.
Steve - correct me if I'm wrong, but I always though that you did not need any rain to grow dust.
My weather is still great. Low to mid 80's and not humid for the rest of the week. But the weekend is supposed to be sunny and 75°F for both days!
Its about 87°F right now ... maybe I'll wait until 6 or 7PM for a ride. Just in the middle of programing my Magellan GPS Navigator. I wonder if I'll be able to hear the instructions on the highway with all the wind & exhaust noise plus earplug?
Tru - what kind of a health plan do you belong to anyway? Does the doctor still use leeches? Glad your feeling better. Good thing there was no explosion like Ron's tire. Assume (and hope) that your heart is doing OK.
Ron - glad you like the pics. I've gone on so many local rides, I now drive around a lot of roads I've never been on, looking for good backdrops to take pictures. I also get to meet and talk with a lot of nice people when driving the Cobra. I probably average about 8 thumbs up or "Nice Car" shouts per hour. Always feels good.

Warren,
As usual you are correct sir. We need no rain in Texas to manifest dust. It just come naturally.
The storm is a big one and it seems to be headed this way. To tell you the truth I welcome it as it is only rain. Thank God for the rain. Even when we think it is too much, we cannot live without it.
It has been so dry here since the monsoons backed off. The grass is not as green as it was and some people are actually having to water the yards.
Tru,
You should have a good long prayer to the big guy upstairs tonight before bed. I 'll pray for you as well. Dang you seem to be having a tough time right now. I can understand where you are at brother, I have had mortal hell for over six years now. I just don't give up.....

Yep, slipping down from the north. Looks like Tom will see it first.
It is already 15* cooler here than it was at 10:00 this morning.

I believe it was a 1966 Cobra 427 that was specially prepared for the banks and it hit 199 MPH at Daytona I think it was on the long straight. That is really moving for that car with the lack of aerodynamics and I don't think I would have wanted to be the driver. But they were trying to see how fast they could get it to go.
Now 40 years layer and billions of dollars in technological advances and we have cars that can go 220.

That was 198 not 200. As little as the difference may be races have been lost by a lot less margin. I am also talking about the rule and not the exception. Dick's Cobra #198 was by all accounts the exception to the majority of them out there. Right ???

Its HOT! Very dry humor. Its only 86°F or so in your area and going to 98°F or so. Its 82°F in my area right now, but high temp of 85°F.
You should have some more rain coming your way soon. Hope that the flash flooding along the coast is minimal.
198, 199 or 200 MPH. Who cares about 1 or 2 MPH. Thats FAST Yes, I did say MPH and not Km/Hr, Steve

At least you guys have cars to be hot in. And Warren has to have some of the prettiest country around him that I have seen pictures of in a long time. Guess I will have to hike to one of the old ghost towns and take some pictures.
And by the way, in the paper this morning the lake is now low enough that the left over section of the old main tail tower is sticking out of the water. Bad news for a lot of people.

Newsflash - 1.5 hours later and its 90°F now and the weather channel has revised the high temp forecast from 85 to 97°F.
No ride for me today. Time for lunch and then back to playing with my new Magellan GPS Navigator. Want to use it for a trip up to NH on Sat for a Cobra Cookout (thats BBQ for you Aggies).

Warren,
How do you cook a Cobra to make that fiberglass taste good? Maybe add some Turtle Soup and Frog Legs into the mix!

Now now...
We didn't get a drop it went right around us. It did cool off for awile though.
The storm comming looks to be a smaller one than first thought so the coastline should be OK.
Tru,
Good to hear your back at it.
Hey Ron,
My father in law was in Korea, maybe you to know each other. When were you there? He was a medic on a PT boat.
