Steve,
I was there in late 1958 I think it was. Hated it from the minute I got onto the landing barge to go into the Inchon harbor. I would like to go see some of the other places I have been again, but have no desire to ever see that place again. I am really happy that I was a non combatant and only had to go along the DMZ if there was a problem with some system, which normally happened after one of the frequent fire fights that are still going on there today. Being a naturally born coward, I managed to fix the test scores so I was in the signal core and my small group was all specialists attached to a missile command.

Ron - I could speed read that garbage. Amazing stuff. I think I posted something similar a while back.
Don't you know how to cook a Cobra? Ten minutes per pound at 375°F. Just like cooking a very big turkey.
The revised weather report was just off slightly. Only got to 92°F, but that is still hot enough for me. Took a ride in the Merc - horrors of horrors - the AC crapped out. What pisses my off is that I just had it charged about 5 weeks ago. Guess its time to put that POS out of its misery and get a new daily driver.
Tru - I spent about $1600 for my set of golf clubs about 3 years ago. The definition of "good" is very difficult to determine. I went to a big golf store down in Myrtle Beach when I was on vacation and had the clubs professionally fitted. Had to hit various shots into this special $50K video golf cage with many many different clubs. The pro then had the clubs made up with everything tailored to my swing. I even tried out about 15 different putters. The whole process took almost 2 hours, and my arms were tired. Boy, what a difference as compared to my ancient set of clubs that I got in the mid 70's for $100.
If you are thinking of playing golf, go get some lessons from a golf pro. Then get a good set of clubs that are made just for you. It makes the sport so much more enjoyable.
That Magellan GPS does just about everything except drive the car. Now that I've read the instruction book, I have to find a good place to mount it in the Cobra. May have to make a bracket between the support bars between the tunnel and lower dashboard. Certainly do not want to glue it to the dashboard (one option in the instructions), or use the suction cup.

Warren,
Is your dash made so you could take some stainless or aluminum and make a holder on the bottom of it over the tunnel or would the GPS unit you have work in a slide in type holder? I wouldn't want to glue it or use the suction cup either as both will eventually mess up the dash. Especially when the wind rips the unit off as you sail down the highway.

Well, here is a rough one.
To set the cement in the stove, I need to fire it for like and hour.
It is 90 degrees outside. This is really going to be uncomfortable.
We are setting it on Saturday.
My brother-in-law has taken to golf. He is a great guy, I would like to help him ona set of clubs...WOW, these things are expensive.

Tru,
Golf is a rich persons game. Try getting a set made like Tiger Woods uses. I hear some of my friends here that play quite a bit and they talk about giving $1K for just one club. And they think nothing of spending $25K to go somewhere for the weekend and play golf. I have never been on a golf course so have no idea of what it is like. Good luck with the stove. What did I hear about it may be 100 degrees there on Saturday???

You can buy a set of clubs for a lot less money than I paid for mine. Figure out how much you want to spend on him and give him a gift cert which includes a professional fitting so he gets a "good feeling" set of clubs. He can then add $$ to your cert if he wants to get a "better" set.
My niece just graduated for college. I asked my two other sisters what they gave her for a graduation present. They both said $1000. So that's what I gave her too! Did not want to be the odd man out. She is spending her presents on tuition to graduate school ... a masters degree in accounting. My niece is no dummy. At that age, I would have blown thru the money in less than a week.

Tru,
Don't feel alone. I don't have any money AND no car. I went out yesterday evening to the garage and got up on the ramps where it normally sets and started to get in. Fell between the ramps and banged my elbow. I must put a sign there that says NO CAR!!

You definitely need help Thanks for the laugh. Come over to the right coast sometime. I have an empty guest room and a Cobra that currently has an empty passenger seat.
Good morning all! Its 75°F now but high temp only supposed to be 79°F. Time for breakfast. Maybe a nice omelet and some fresh fruit. Sounds good.

Just saw some of the flooding in Texas on TV. Hope that everyone is high and dry with the rubber side down.

Warren,
I would love to visit some of the country around where you live and also go to the old civil War Battlefields.
Yea, it is embarrassing to forget the car isn't there any more. Must be that age thing.

Holy Toledo Fred, that is unbelievable. Tell him I said congrats!!!!!!
The story is a little short on details and is lacking in content.
Is there something we can do to get more of the story? I am not sending you money.

Morning all. Up early, head throbbing from where I tripped in the shed and hit it on the the edge of the work bench on the way to the floor yesterday. Really feel kind of lousy and I think I am going to spend the day in bed. Some things just aren't right any more it seems.
