Top of the morning to you all!
It is a brisk 50 degrees this morning. We will be getting ready for winter.
My house looks like a sale-a-thon at Target. There are things going to colleges all ove rthe place.

Tru,
I have a jacket on this morning and by afternoon will be running the air conditioner. A very strange August here so far. But I prefer the cooler weather to the heat.

Kinda of sticky here from the little showers we have been getting but still plenty warm. It will be hot later on.
Sorry about the fall Ron.

Steve,
I fall so often I feel I should have crawlers instead of arms and legs. Still nice here and it is only supposed to get up to 97 this afternoon. Hope they are correct.

Maybe you need a padded helmet like the boxers were.
Just for around the house tho...

Well I guess I could go out in the garage and dig my old racing helmet out.

I hope I do not have to wear a helmet in the house.
Put the stove back, man this looks like new.
Cut a bunch of trees. I'm not sure, but I think I have enough for the winter. May need one more cutting.
Well, well, I was informaed my carb will be leaving Wed of next week. I could be welding side pipes and on the road within a week, yikes.

Fix the hole in your boat while it isn't raining!

I can't believe it. I got up at the usual 3AM this morning and I thought the air seemed to smell strange. I went out back and it is actually sprinkling and when I went to bed after dark last night there was not a cloud in sight. Don't think this will amount to anything, but it is a very strange thing for here. this whole month has been strange.

Looks like I may actually get a day of rain.
Not sure if I should be happy or not...Maybe this will save some of my trees.

Tru,
I hope that you get enough rain to do some good. It is still overcast here but the sprinkles have stopped. We just got enough to wet the pavement a little. But I love this cool air and this is really unheard of in August here.

Gud morn y'all.
Boy, is my internet connection slooooooooowwwwwwww.
Guess I'll be doing some troubleshooting over the next few days.
Hope everyone is OK with the heat wave. I drove up to NH for a cookout yesterday at 11 AM, and I had to put on a jacket! Its in the low 70's now, so I guess I'll have to do some more disgusting riding in the Cobra this afternoon.
OK, womens final in beach volleyball on NBC at noon. A lot cheaper than driving over and paying top $$$. Went thru the venue yesterday afternoon when I got back from the cookout, just as everyone was leaving. Really big crowd. Sorry, no pictures with any females at the volleyball tourney, but I did get some at the cookout

Warren,
Try running a speed test on your connection, and then do it again when it is working right. That way you will have something to compare to.
Really nice here so far this morning but the overcast is going away and it will be humid this afternoon. Darn, I miss the car. I may not live the year I told Bill he could have it to work on. Do they make Cobra bodies for bicycles???

Internet connection OK now at 11 PM. Strange! Maybe its the power button? Fred, can I borrow Frenchy?
Tough day yesterday. Temp was cool in the AM. Had to wear a jacket on my ride up to Cow Hampshire.
Today, it was in the low 70's all afternoon, but there were a few clouds. Terrible weather, huh Only got in a 4 hour ride today, after a 145 mile round trip to the cookout yesterday.
Lost my first hat in almost 10,000 miles of Cobra driving. My favorite Cobra golf hat that cost me about $20. Blew off while driving the middle lane at 70 MPH on interstate route 93. No going back for that hat. Had to fall back to my free hat I got at the FFR open house. Nice hat, except for the logo ... but it was free.
The next 4 days are supposed to be sunny with high temps between 70 and 75°F. Will this terrible weather ever end? I just had to put $47 worth of gas in the Cobra! That won't last long
Prayers for anyone in the path of the hurricane. Batten down the hatches Texas!
Prayers for Ron too. Even some for Tru's carb!
OK, back to the NHRA racing.

Warren,
After losing a couple of caps, I went to a marine shop and got a short piece of bungee cord that had a flat type clip on each end. Fastened one to the band in back of the cap and the other end to my shirt collar and never lost another cap. Some blew off but they were held by the cord and I just pulled them back on as they were hanging down behind my head.
Our weather has been nothing like any August I have ever seen here so far. But we still have a couple of weeks to go and anything could change quickly.

Darn Tru, I wish we could get some of your rain. The dust here is about 1" deep. Just walking in the yards makes my sinuses really act up. Oh well, we may have flooding next Winter the way the weather is acting.

Tru
Glad your finally getting some rain up there. Hopefully it will save some of your trees.
Warren
The bungee that Ron is talking about cost @$1.50 I got mine at Walmart in the fishing area. I actually got it for the Bass Boat but it worked so well I moved it over to the Cobra. They work great. Looks like fun at the BBQ. Nice pictures in your gallery.
Ron,
How are the pups doing? We haven't had a report in several weeks now.
Well I took the day off yesterday and played with the kids all day. We went and saw Rush Hour 3. What a hoot. Just had some good quality family time.
Looks like the storm will be quiet a bit south from where we are but we are expecting some residual rain from it. Our Cobra buddies in Houston should get ready though.
