Tru - I hate it when the power goes out. I remember one time about 10 summers ago when the electricity went out about 6PM on a day where the humidity was unbearable and the temp was above 100°F. At about midnight the temp was about 98°F inside the house and I drove to the local cheapskate hotel and slept there.
Its only 83°F now at noon, but I just turned off the fan and turned on the AC ... extremely sticky.
Steve - maybe your mad because you only have 98 chances left? Or you did not go for a Cobra ride on each of the last 20 days or so like I have done? I may not go today, but lets see what it's like this evening.

I don't know why. I woke up pissed off at Bush!
Boy I had to go outside and take a deep breathe.
I am all better now tho.

Side pipes are mounted different ways on different cars. But usually there is a rubber grommet that cushions the torc twist from the engine. The damage usually occurs around the collectors where they may not have been welded properly to begin with.

Throw the weather forecasters out the window. Forecast for today was about 85°F. It is now 97°F outside with dew point of 68°F. UGH.
Just spent an hour cleaning up some stacks of paper and old magazines. Found an application for renewing my daily driver ... hey, I'm only 8 months late with no registration. No big deal. Just filled out the stuff on the Internet. Sticker for plate should arrive within a week or so. I also found a 6 month old check for $110.00
I gotta do some more cleaning ... wonder what I'll find? The Lost Dutchman's mine? Jimmy Hoffa's body?

imagine2frolic,
Mine are a two point mount. There are four bolts that connect the side pipe to the header collector and then there is a solid mount back behind the door that has a bolt with two insulators holding it to the frame.
In my case, I found a mine shaft in a parking lot and that ripped the pipe at the weld. Then about 1000 more miles of bumpy, nasty roads ( Welcome to Michigan ) and the pipe broke completely off.
The other one was a spot crack.
I have the car ready to take on the road, now all I need is the weather to cooperate.

Gee Steve, if T2F needs side pipes, sell him those SS units you had the last time I saw you. Those looked sharp.

I sold those a year or so ago. Not long after you came to visit.
They were really nice pipes. I never used them at all. Brand new SS

Steve
Your bio says "Sold the car at a car show 12-05-02 Humm.... a Kirkham or two sounds nice!"
Do you have the red Cobra in your gallery? Looks good! I hope you're not Cobraless.
If I do find a winning lottery ticket, hopefully its a big one. I only buy them when the winning amount exceeds $100 Mil. There is no need to win the small amounts cuz they just screw up your 1040
Hey, I just found 3 tickets on top of the computer console. Have to check the numbers online. One from April, one fron March and one in June. Maybe you are a millionaire!
Edit - OK, I'm back. Boy, are you a loser. Not even one single number in all 3 of the tickets. Oh well, kiss $3 goodbye.

Warren,
Unfortunately I sold the red one. I sure miss that car too.
I was looking at a Kirkham when I put that there. Maybe I should change that now. If ... when I get another one it will be an SPF. I do like the Kirkham it is just a lot of money for the car. As you know the SPF is a nice car for the money.
Yea, funny story. I took it to a car show and a guy made me an offer I couldn't resist. It does happen. It was a nice car and we really enjoyed it. I think the next one will be toned down a bit as that car was really too nice. The paint job alone was $10,000.00, but is was absolutely show quality.

Steve - get off your duff and go buy an SPF. I've never regreted buying mine. If $$ is an issue, there are a lot of nice used ones around.
97°F at 4 PM ....at 8 PM its 77°F. Watching the Patriots game, the Busch series race and posting on CC at the same time.

Warren,
I think it was you that mentioned the Little League U.S. Championship Playoffs a little while back.
The U.S. Championship Finals are tomorrow at 3:30 pm et.
The International Championship is tomorrow at 12:30pm et.
The World Series is Sunday at 3:30 pm et.
All games are on ABC.
Going into these two games Japan and Lubbock Western are the only two undefeated teams.
You can be sure I'm for Lubbock - TEXAS winning !
I was born there and that is where my farms are.

Stranger things have happened. Texas will bring it all home this year, at least I hope. Those kids have worked their butts off for this.

Texas has a pretty good record in the World Series.
Won it all once. Second place 5 times.

Seeing that Walpole is out of the running ... GO TEXAS. But you always have to watch out for Japan.
I enjoy watching Little League. The kids really have a great time at the World Series.
Just had some fruit for dessert .... seedless watermelon, cantaloupe, blueberries, banana, strawberries and some seedless grapes. Mmmmmm Gud!
Especially the green grapes. Best grapes I've had in maybe 20 years! All that was on the bag was "Product of USA". So, thanks Kalifornicatia (I assume) for growing great grapes other than the ones in San Fran.
I'll be busy tomorrow with a car show at Tasca Ford and a high school reunion.

Dang, got my car fixed up and it has rained since.
I may dodge rain drops and nail a few boards on the new barn.
Then again, feels good just doing nothing.
