Car fixed and now the rain you've needed.
You could see it as two positives.
But I bet you would far rather get a ride in.I would.

If Ron didn't sleep in, I sure did. Set my alarm for 6 AM so I could leave at 6:30 to go to the Tasca Ford car show. Woke up at 9:45 AM Oh well, I wasn't going to get Shelby's autograph anyway. Nobody autograph is worth $250.
On the bright side, its 97°F outside with a 74°F dew point for a heat index of 107°F. I know that's cool for some of Ron's days and members in Arizona ... but it's too damn hot for me. It's a nice 74°F inside.
Tru, doing nothing is refreshing sometimes.
Edit at 3 PM .. temp to 100°F with heat index of 111°F. OMG its hot. Inside still at 74°F .....

Warren,
Sounds to me like those bushels of grapes you were talking about downing last night were of the Fermented variety.

I watched the Little League International and U.S. Championships games today.Well worth the time.
Japan and Georgia won.
They play tomorrow.
All those kids are really something to watch !
The skill level and heart they play with is great.

Yeah, Ron is probably wrestling with those two little varmits he has. That one was so cute, I almost was thinking I should look for another Wolf puppy.
He said it was 107 heat index, that's enough to keep me in Michigan.
Too bad Texas didn't carry the torch, there is always next year.
Well, I got a few more boards up on the new barn, I'm gonna have to recruit the kids to help before they leave.
I'll be an empty nester by this time next week!!

Tru,
Saw on the local news last night at 6 pm that several tornados hit a town called Fenton. From what they said,it sounds like it was real close to your town.
Y'all come out okay ?

Tru - by the time I woke up, they were frying eggs on my street. Heat index of 111°F is just too damn hot. So I did not get in a ride yesterday. One of my Cobra friends who went with his son said the line to meet Carroll Shelby was about 400 people! Plus I met and talked with John Force for an hour in the Gainesville airport bar about 20 years ago. He was just as hyper then as he is now.
Flooding all over the place, hail in Southern California, 111 heat index in MA, and tornadoes in MI ... hope you and your friends are OK Tru.
Texas may have lost, but it was the Georgia defense that really won that game. I had to tape it so I could go to a high school reunion. I watched it at 3 AM this morning. Fantastic time seeing a ton of old friends ... my graduating class was about 250 kids. There was about 50 people at the reunion. The class President flew in from Hawaii. Two other classmates came up from Florida. Got over at 10 PM and there was only me and 3 classmates left. So the 4 of us went into the hotel bar and finally got thrown out at closing time. Lot of laughs.
Well, its 91°F right now and still pretty humid ... think I'll go read the Sunday paper and just chill out today.
Fred - no fermented grapes for me. Not a wine drinker and never drink beer. But I did have a few too many 7&7's last night.

Georgia beat Japan with a home run in the "walkoff".
Georgia has won the World Series 2 years in a row now.

Yep,Much Much Better !
That was the best game, of all types, I've seen in some time.
I don't think the Texas team could have beat Japan.

Fenton is fifteen minutes from here.
We took cover and watched the TV.
Nothing got knocked down or messed up.
Thanks for asking.

Good to know.
I guess when the tv reception goes away you know it is getting serious.

Tru
Glad everyone OK. Congratulations (or my condolences) on becoming an empty nester. I'm going for a ride Monday after two sweltering days. How about you? All set?
Fred - had some more grapes, with strawberries, blueberries and fresh pineapple.
OK, ad over. Back to the Ive Road Truckers. Good show.

Yea me too I slept in a bit this morning, 6:15.... I wake up at 4:59 every morning with no alarm. I don't know why I just do. I have done it for so long it is built in now.
Warren,
I don't know about you but I have noticed since all the rain we have had the grapes are HUGE now and they taste is second to none. Wifey brought some home and they did not last very long. UMM UMM Good.
Ron,
At least let us know you didn't fall and bump your head again.
