Kristen keeps saying listen to the women.
Three Men on a Hike
Three men were hiking through a forest when they came upon a large
raging, violent river. Needing to get to the other side, the first man prayed:
"God, please give me the strength to cross the river."
Poof! ... God gave him big arms and strong legs and he was able to
swim across in about 2 hours, having almost drowned twice.
After witnessing that, the second man prayed: "God, please give me strength and the tools to cross the river."
Poof! .. God gave him a row boat and strong arms and strong legs and he
was able to row across in about an hour after almost capsizing once.
Seeing what happened to the first two men, the third man prayed:
"God, please give me the strength, the tools and the intelligence to cross the river"
Poof! ... He was turned into a woman. She checked the map, hiked one hundred yards up stream and walked across the bridge.
"If at first you don't succeed, do it the way your wife told you!"

All of you have a good Labor Day. I am going over and Mary is going to cut my 5 hairs later on this morning. Then I will spend the rest of the day doing nothing. As usual.

Tru,
How far away are your boy's schools ?
Seems like it would be a shock to the system not having at 1 kid at home.

What a waste. No one needs a home that large, period!
Kristen,
Looks like fun and a busy time. Tell gary to drop by here every once and a while. We never see or hear from him any more.

Warren,
Now if you can just find me a Summer home with the money to buy it, maybe we could work out something. I don't need a big one, just 2,000 sq. ft. would do and I would also like a 5 car garage with heat and cooling, an upstairs storage area, and some kind of nice floor. But just get whatever you can afford with your loose change.

But is it 73°F and sunny outside with a predicted hi temp of 78°F for excellent Cobra driving weather? It is here. Working on uploading pics from this weekend. Yesterday I just chilled out and watched TV.
Guess you guys (and gals) dodged another Cat 5 bullet.

Warren,
You keep telling us about your drives and I am going to have to stop coming to the site. You make me really miss my Cobra and almost wish I hadn't sold it. Crap, I may have to take a trip to Arkansas to visit it.

Saturday was a busy day. The car club I belong to has a Car Show every year on Sunday of the Labor Day Weekend. So Saturday is about 5 hours of setting everything up around the fairground. I will post a thread in the New England section later with pics.
But after a busy Saturday set up, I HAD to take a nice ride. I drove around looking for some new places to take pictures. The backdrop in a picture makes the shot. So I drove around a lake in Weymouth going down tons of small side streets looking for nice locations. Of course, driving into Weymouth I had to wait as a BIG sailboat passed under a drawbridge ...
Edited because I deleted many pics from my gallery.
This was taken in the back section of a restaurant parking lot. Everyone in the restaurant seated by the rear windows were checking me and the Cobra out as I took a few pics ...
After going down quite a few side streets, I found a little side road with a small beach that was completely covered by big trees, so the Cobra was in total shade ...
and maybe about 300 yards down the road was a really nice place for pictures ...
The road is very narrow and the houses on the other side of the road are really nice. As I was taking some pics, a guy said that I should come back at sunset, because its really beautiful. I'm going to go back to this spot to take some "sunset" shots because good spots are hard to find .. the sun sets in the west (over land).

Here is the car show thread ...
Car Show Pictures
Seeing as we only had 0.6 " of rain in August, the fairgrounds was a little dusty in some areas. The worst area was exactly where I parked the Cobra. I cleaned it about 5 times with a detail spray during the show, but gave up after that. My Cobra has NEVER been as dirty as it is now. UGH. Its going to take a lot of hours to clean it up!

Warren,
Nice pictures as usual. As for the dust, I know what you mean. I took mine when I had it to a show and the dust was so bad that just people walking kept it up in the air and I used the Calif. duster about twice and gave up, I think that whole area was about 1/2" of nothing but powdered dust. I had so much on the car that when I started home some of it actually blew off.
