No, it sets in my pocket! Around here, to get a nice shot of the sun going down into the water, you need about 7 miles of water. So you have to really go out to an offshore island or a peninsula that stick out into the ocean at least 7 miles. Very limited. Best places are the west coast (WA, OR, CA) and the west coast of Florida. Or the east coast of any BIG lake.

Warren,

OK, but the sun does still set in the west, right?

When we were in Naples we watched the sun set over the Gulf many times. It was sure nice to see. It was NOT worth it to move there though.

Yea, but that is a lot of ignoring. It has to be a record for a thread started by accident and with nothing in it.

Fred,

Have you had that stupid Frog counting again?? If you took away all of my posts that are about nothing I would have about 1,200 left. By the way, how much encouragement is Frenchy giving you with your giving up smoking?

This thread is a service to society. Everyone should come and drop a line about nothing every once and awhile.

If that is the case Fred we have achieved another milestone. So does that mean we are soon to loose this one as well?

I suppose I need to get my post count up for this thread before she goes out to pasture so Fred won't chew on me in the next one.

Well, Steve, what will ya give me for it?

I use it, but not enough to warrent having it sit on the farm in some "git-in-the-way" place.

You can just park it on site.

Back to the sunsets - guess I live in the right place for those - have seen
them from nearly all the islands. Great views.

Tru,
That is why I had that one someone stole the other one from "on site"

I know that is a good trailer and I would love to have it back but I can't right now. I simply do not have a place to put it. Literally.

After spending 4 hours cleaning the Cobra, I had to go for a "short" three hour cruise to nowhere. Boy, was the car filthy. But now its all clean and spiffy.

I found you a nice house in Milton, about 10 miles from my house. I'm not sure about the price, but its probably 3 times the value of my abode.

But once your pinched nerve has subsided, we can play golf at the Wollaston Golf Club. It's about a half mile from the house in the above pic. Nice place, but I've never played that course. Here is a shot of the lake that dominates the scenery as you drive up to the clubhouse.

After driving around some more, the sun started to set, so I whipped out my trusty Nikon .....

Steve - you have mail too! Weather today was just the best Low humidity, a few clouds and temp between 70 and 75°F this afternoon. Fantastic driving weather. Forecast is for the next 6 days to be sunny/partly cloudy and temps between 73 and 83°F.

Warren,

Beautiful house and pictures. Wish I could afford a place like that. Heck, I wish I just had a car now. But the way I feel, it would probably just sit for months at a time, so I am better off without one even if I could afford to pay for it. Darn retirement homes out here cost more to stay in than it costs to own your own place.

Steve,

We aren't going to lose this thread. Frenchy is probably bugging Fred about his quitting smoking and he is now to the part where he is going to have a few rough minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, & decades.

THINGS YOU DON'T HEAR ANY MORE

Be sure and refill the ice trays, we are going to have company after while.

Watch for the postman, I want to get this letter in the mail today.

Quit slamming that screen door!

Later on, --- "Somebody jiggle the handle".

Be sure to pull the windows down when you leave, it looks like it might
shower -- and bring in the clothes on the line, too.

Don't forget to wind the clock before you go to bed.

Wash your feet before you go to bed, they are nasty from playing barefooted
outside all day.

Why can't you remember to roll up your pants legs? Getting them caught in
the bicycle chain so many times is tearing them up.

You have torn the knees out of that pair of pants so many times there is
nothing left to put a patch on.

Don't you go outside with your school clothes on!

Hang up your Sunday School clothes, you know you need to pass them down to
your brother in good condition.

Go comb your hair. It looks like the rats have nested in it all night.

Be sure and pour the cream off the top of the milk when you open the new
bottle. I need it for baking and Pa's coffee.

Take that empty bottle to the store with you so you won't have to pay a
deposit on another one.

Put a dish towel over the cake so the flies won't get on it.

Quit jumping on the floor! I have a cake in the oven and you are going to
make it fall if you don't quit!

Let me know when the Fuller Brush man comes by, I need to get a few things
from him.

You boys stay close by, the car may not start and I will need you to help
push it off.

There is a dollar in my purse, go by the service station and get five
gallons of gas when you start to town
.

Open the back door and see if we can get a breeze through here, it is
getting hot.

You can walk to the store; it won't hurt you to get some exercise. Maybe you
will learn to be more careful with your bicycle.

Don't sit too close to the TV it is hard on your eyes.

Don't lose that button, I will sew it back on after while.

Get out from under that sewing machine; pumping it messes up the thread!

Do you want me to get a switch?

Be sure and fill the lamps this morning so we don't have to do that tonight
in the dark.

Here, take this old magazine to the outhouse (toilet) when you go; we are
almost out of paper out there
.

Go out to the well and draw a bucket of water for me to wash dishes in.

Don't turn the radio on now; I want the battery to be up when the Grand Ole
Opry comes on.

No! I don't have five cents for you to go to the show--do you think money
grows on trees?

Eat those vegetables; they will make you big and strong like your daddy.

That dog is NOT coming in this house! I don't care how cold it is out there,
dogs just don't come in the house.

Sit still! I am trying to get your hair cut straight and you keep moving
and it is getting botched up.

Hush your mouth! I don't want to hear words like that. I will wash your
mouth out with soap again!

It is time for your system to be cleaned out. I'm going to give you a dose
of Castor Oil in the morning.

If you get a spanking in school and I find out about it, you will get
another one when you get home
.

Quit crossing your eyes! They will get hung that way!

Soak your foot in this pan of coal oil so that cut won't get infected.

When you take your driving test don't forget your hand signals each turn.
Left arm straight out the window for a left turn, and left arm bent up to
the sky at the elbow for a right turn and straight down to the side of the
door when you are going to stop.

It is "Yes, sir!" and "No, sir" to me and your elders young man, and don't
you forget it!

While we are at Aunt Mary's and Uncle John's you kids eat when the adults
get through and I don't want to hear "I don't like this stuff". You
better keep your mouth shut and eat everything on your plate.

If I hear you repeat one word of this I will beat the daylights out of you,
do you understand that?!!

Ron

I have found that Frenchy is great in counting to 2-bits...I mean 25.Past that it can be off +/- 75%.

She has been offering some encouragement.
She say she wants to be the only thing that is smoking (hot) around here.
I think I'm going to have to have her drug tested.
