Sorry for the insult ... getting you confused with Ernie. Aaaahhhh, what the heck - go jump out of a plane! and drag Ernie with ya. It might slow down the # of his posts

I will take another drive tomorrow as a penalty for my insult (unless its raining). Just got back ... boy did a cold front move in. When I left it was about 70°F. Two hours later when I came home, it was about 58°F and dense fog.

Sorry Ron - no pictures from today's ride. Hey, how is your coupe? and the puppies?

Warren,

The pups are doing well except for the occasional day one of them will be sick. They still want to eat anything they find in the yards and I can't watch them every minute. Even chew on the rose bushes until they get stuck in the mouth.

I have given up on ever seeing the Coupe again. Talked to the guy that is trying to get that mess straightened out yesterday and he said that basically he is going to have to tear the whole car apart and rip out all of the wiring as that crappy computer goes to everything besides the engine and also the steering column goes through the dash and he isn't sure how to get it down as a lot of connectors up there have came loose. I told him I would just sign the car over to him if he wanted and we are considering that. I don't have the money to put as much into it as it cost new to get it to where I can drive it as my medical bills are really taking off the past 5 months and I am starting to get in a bind.

Mike,

It is raining lightly here this morning but now they say the weekend will be sunny. That 5" of rain we were supposed to have received this week turned out to be 2/3rds of an inch. Most of the week was just misty and damp. The main rains just went over us and headed toward Warren, which means they should be snow by the time they get there. Feet and Feet of the white, heavy, mushy stuff.

He dared Mt. Shasta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yukon's surgery went okay. He's back home and recovering.

The storm last night took out at least two trees on the roads, I did not look at my own property. More firewood!

I am of the opinion Warren has some MoJo going over at his place and Mt. Shasta just might spare him...in lue of the MoJo.

GEEZ Ron, isn't there something?

Okay, corny as this is, what would it take to get your car to my farm?

Dang, I'll design a complete new harness and install it before you give up like that.

Tru,

The car is in a mess now and may never be back together. I really don't much care any more as my health is so bad and I am fast running out of money. And with Winter coming, I wouldn't normally have many days that I could drive anyway.

Yep, its been raining on and off all day. Temperature is 74°F so its going to be tough on the Mt Shasta Goddess to produce any snow.
Maybe she has a bad case of dandruff?
But the humidity is oppressive ... Sticky Texas style humidity.

Tru - glad you're OK - there were about 50 tornadoes in the front that's moving towards me.

Ron - keep the faith ... things will get better.

It is already ok. Just knowing that I don't have a car and won't again has taken a lot of the stress of worrying about it off of me. And with my health going the way it is, I really don't belong in a car anyway. In fact I don't even belong in the car clubs and have been dropping out of them. I just don't feel right being in any club that I don't have anything that makes me a part of that group.

This should be in the joke thread but was to good to waste. Maybe I should post it in one of VRMs threads.

Ron

YOU MUST BE

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost.

She lowered her altitude and spotted a fisherman in a boat below.

She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I
would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air
balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet
above sea level.

You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes North latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09
minutes west longitude."

She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican."

"I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"

"Well," answered t he bal loonist, "everything you told me is
technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your
information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help."

The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Democrat."

"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"

"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you're
going. You've risen to where you are, due mainly to a large quantity
of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and
you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same
position you were in before we met, but, somehow, now it's my fault."

Thumbs up

Good morning. Its mild around here. Temp at 62°F. Forecast for next 3 days is high temp between 75 and 80°F.

We had a good rain fall yesterday. We needed the rain..

Today is my car club's annual "car show helper party". We invite all of the non-members that helped at our annual car show. It's at Maria Restaurant. Lasagna, stuffed shells, meatballs, pasta, and more Italian food. The hell with my diet.

It rained all day here yesterday and we had more than we got nearly all last Winter. But it is clear today and is supposed to be in the 80s all next week. That was a short Winter for rainfall. I saw on the news that Atlanta I think it was is close to running out of water and they have a water patrol driving around looking at lawns to see if any are green. We had that a few years ago and could have again if we don't start getting a lot of rain.

Tru - I went looking for some good fall color this afternoon when the sun finally came out about 3 PM.

The peak color is still north of me, so there only were a few trees with nice looking color. Nothing really good enough to take a picture.

But I did stop at a school in Milton that has just been rebuilt. It took them about 4 years to rebuild. Actually its two schools. The Collicot School for K to 5 and the Cunningham School for grades 6 to 8. Boy, did they spend some big bucks on these schools ... but Milton is one of the richest towns around. Big estates from the 1800's everywhere.

I have 434 posts on this thread, which is 230 less than the ignore thread.
this thread has 500 more cumulative posts than the ignore thread....
so what that means...

I'm getting much more efficient at saying nothing.
