Tru,
I watched the race in Texas yesterday and they were whining about the fact that over 1 million deer hunting licenses had been sold and that was keeping the NASCAR crowd down. They may even change the date of the race next year.
Good luck hunting. I hope that you find a nice rifle.

Thank you Mt Shasta Goddess for dumping that white stuff on Tru. That means less for me. Its been about mid 50's for the last two weeks, but quite a lot of rain. When I get back from vacation, the sun WILL shine so I can take some Cobra rides.

Warren,
I see they published your last doctor's visit.
An 80-year-old man goes for a physical. All of his tests come back with
normal results. The doctor says, "Bill, everything looks great. How are
you doing mentally and emotionally? Are you at peace with God?"
Bill replies, "God and I are tight. He knows I have poor eyesight, so he's
fixed it so when I get up in the middle of the night to go to the
bathroom, poof! the light goes on. When I'm done, poof! the light goes
off. "Wow, that's incredible," the doctor says.
A little later in the day, the doctor calls Bill's wife. "Ethel,"he says
"Bill is doing fine! But I had to call you because I'm in awe of his
relationship with God. Is it true that he gets up during the night and
poof! the light goes on in the bathroom, and when he's done, poof! the
light goes off?"
"Oh my God!" Ethel exclaims. "He's peeing in the refrigerator again.
Names changet to protect the guilty!!!!!!

Fred,
This one is for you. You have did so great on quitting smoking and we are all pulling for you, but it takes a long time to get every brain cell completely back in line. Congratulations on your success.
Bubba went to a psychiatrist.
" I've got problems. Every time I go to bed I think there's somebody under it. I'm scared. I think I'm going crazy."
"Just put yourself in my hands for one year," said the shrink. "Come talk to me three times a week, and we should be able to get rid of those fears."
"How much do you charge?"
"Eighty dollars per visit, replied the doctor."
"I'll sleep on it," said Bubba.
Six months later the doctor met Bubba on the street. "Why didn't you ever come to see me about those fears you were having?" asked the psychiatrist.
"Well Eighty bucks a visit three times a week for a year is an awful lot of money! A bartender cured me for $10. I was so happy to have saved all that money that I went and bought me a new pickup!"
"Is that so! And how, may I ask, did a bartender cure you?"
"He told me to cut the legs off the bed! - Ain't nobody under there now !!!"

32 degrees...ICE!!
Yes folks we had a chilly morning on the farm.
Had to pull trees from the drive and field last night. I think they are plotting against me. They seem to fall in areas I have to work to get at.
So, what do you all think...is this going to be the start of winter or are we going to have a round of warm weather before it sets in as COLD?

Tru
The weather will warm up again before the winter snow flies. Count on it. It got down to about 40 F last night but its now up to about 50 F. At least the sun is out. Still too cold for golf. I'm going home about the 19th, so I can guarantee good driving weather on the 20th.
Ron
There is no help for you, especially when you told the world about that liquid in my refrigerator ... and all these years I though it was orange juice.

Warren,
With you being "retired" and with your numerous vacations, you would seem to be the person to ask.
I understand people that work taking a vacation from work.
And I understand people retiring from work.
But when you are retired and then you go on vacation...what is that all about ??
How do you know when the vacation really begins and ends ??
What is the difference ?? Is there a certain distance from your front door that it becomes a vacation ??

Just because a person is retired, it does not mean that they no longer do any work. It just means that they do not get paid for any "work" accomplished during the day.
Do I miss the pay check? Not really, because I have done very well with my investments over my first 5 years of retirement. Ok, I lied just a little ... I'd like the extra money, but not the work. But the corporate bull**** was getting too thick over the last few years of employment.
I consider any day that I do not sleep in my bed as a vacation. Just my way of a little humor for all of my friends (both younger and older) that scurry around all day to "earn a living".
When I'm not home, I'm doing different things as compared to when I'm home. Isn't that really the definition of "vacation"?

Well it was 42 here this morning but is supposed to be in the upper 70s and low 80s the rest of the week. No rain in the near future according to the forecast. This is the type weather we should have in the Spring.

Dang Fred, I asked the same blasted thing.
However, I am not sure Warren works. Even by his standards.
Ron, I just thought it was weather.

Tru,
It is just weather and as one of my last things in this world I am passing it on to you and Warren. Plant trees, shovel snow, burn wood, and just have a blast.

Ron,
The way the weather felt around here the last two days,I have been expecting to shovel snow at any moment !!!
Yesterday and today the tempts nose dived into the mid 60's,partly cloudy to boot.
The HHS's were wondering if Warren would knit them a sweater in his free time.
