the wood stove runs as I type.

I am thinking I may have to cut a few more trees up, the first row of wood is half gone and it ain't even cold out...just 31 degrees.

Well our nights are now getting down into the low 40s and upper 30s, but the days are like Spring. By noon it is around 75 to 82 degrees and is really nice. I don't know how much longer this will last but so far no change on the 5 day forecast. Of course that doesn't mean much as they are lucky to get anything correct over one hour ahead of time. But at least that hot Summer heat is gone for a while.

Ron
Sounds like your having some really nice weather. It got down to about 40 F here on the island, but the temp at my house was about 27 F. Guess I can say goodbye to any of the tomatoes left on the vine.

Only getting up to about 50 F during the day. Just a tad cool. But better than Tru's snow!

Was out and about yesterday afternoon and took the following photo that you might like. Sunsets are really nice here on Martha's Vineyard.

Waited around for the sun to go down over the horizon, but the pictures were nowhere as good as this one. Go figure?

Warren,

That is a great picture. Sometimes you wait for a sunset or sunrise and they just don't seem very great. Then you will get one that is just right. I have a friend who stood out in the rain on one of the mountains around here for a day and night taking pictures of lightening until he got the perfect shot. showed this big bolt coming down and hitting a tree and exploding it. He was more or less a pro at the time and he used to win several contests, but I wouldn't stand out in the rain on a mountain top with lightening all around to win any prize.

Yes, it is snowing again today. Nothing sticking mind you, but it is a reminder that winter has arrived.

And it is going to last for a long long time. Snow, ice, wind, COLD, and all types of other winter fun.

I had some Chinese food for supper last night. My fortune cookie was "You are going to have a very comfortable old age".

Gee, when do I get "old"?

And can anyone my size really be comfortable in a 90" wb Cobra?

Wow, you finally woke up and it isn't even noon. That vacation must really be wearing you out looking over the golf course.

I can imagine Warren, sitting in a Easyboy...looking out over the golf course. Through a large picture window next to a warm fire.

Yeah, I can imagine that.

At least I can still tell what time of day it is here. My last post was at 1:38 PM, which is AFTER noon. Time for a new set of glasses Ron. Or you have to remember that I'm in a different time zone. After Daylight Savings Time, I'm in the Sleep Saving Zone. You are required to snooze whenever its lousy outside.

Here is a pic of me doing some sand fishing .....

Edited because I deleted many pics from my gallery.

Sun just went down behind a lot of clouds. Not as pretty as the other day, but some nice cloud formations.

Warren,

Your last post that you refer to shows 10:30 AM as the time it was posted, not 1:38 PM. Have you thought of about getting a talking watch? You have got to get off that vacation while you can still read.

Copied from top of your post: Yesterday 10:38 AM:

Nice pictures. When do you think you posted them?

Ron
10:38 Pacific time is 1:38 Eastern time. We live in different time zones. I win ... you lose. Pay up. I want to see a new pic of the puppies.

It is now 7:07 AM eastern time which should show up on your computer as 4:07 AM pacific time.

It's a fact due to the earth being round. If we could go back to the flat earth when you were a kid, we would not have this confusion.

I took the pictures yesterday between 4:00 and 4:30 PM during the sunset. I posted them at 5:33 PM. But on your computer, that picture post says I posted them at 2:33 PM. Sorry, the sun set at 4:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. You lose, just like the Yankees, and Cardinals, and all your other favorite teams.

Tru - when I'm sitting in the Lazy Boy chair I'm either watching TV or taking a nap.

WRONG AS USUAL. Your time is 1 minute off what is on your posts. Oh for the simplicity of a flat world again and No darn daylight savings time. I really get messed up when dealing with states that had enough sanity to not go to this stuff. How many days of vacation do you have left? Must really be great to get away from home and spend a month sitting and watching a gold course.

So do I. Especially since the telephone company has stopped the time service. I can see Warren now in his chair overlooking the golf course and playing golf on his laptop. But just wait until he gets home and is shoveling snow for the next 5 months.

You all must be jealous. I've still got my hair, I'm not skinny like Fred, I do not have any dogs pooping on my rugs and I drive my Cobra all year round.

That must be it. I have the proof. Its a vast right wing conspiracy! The Humpin' Ho Sisters have taken control of Fred's mind, and turned it to grape jelly. The Mt Shasta Goddess has taken up residence in Ron's 69 Cobra. She is probably letting some oil drip on the garage floor right now to make Ron crazy (make that even crazier). And Yukon's bites are now poisionous.

Good Bye. I'm joining Hillary. Maybe she will let me be Secretary of Vacations. Even better yet, Secretary of Cobra Rides and Naps. I can see it now.

Beam me up Scottie. Time for a nap!

Good morning everybody. Just woke up. Nice to be on vacation. What is going on this fine Saturday? No Pats game tomorrow, so maybe it will warm up enough to play golf. Maybe do some fishin' off the shore. Nice to be on vacation.

Got down into the high 30's last night with a lot of rain, but its up to 42F now and overcast. Glad I'm on vacation and not at home wishin' I could be driving the Cobra. Did I mention I was on vacation?

Warren,

We are even having a heavy mist this morning. Forecast was for scattered showers but I doubt it will happen. It has misted enough that my driveway is wet and it is cold. Guess I should take a picture of this as I had this driveway put in over a year ago and I think this is only the 2nd time it has been wet.
Nice that you can go on vacation. wish I could, but it is hard to figure out something that would take less effort than what I do every day.
Oh, I did get an invitation to a wine tasting party and they know that I don't even drink. Guess someone will get an extra glass.
