I'm all set for tomorrow. Just bought some apple and raspberry turnovers, a pumpkin pie, a loaf of cornbread and a dozen fig squares. That should be enough dessert since my sister is baking 3 homemade apple pies! Oh, they are to die for ......
I'm all set for Christmas too. Just put up a wreath on the front porch door.
Not everything went right today ... bought a toilet seat and just took it out of the box. It was broken already. Guess I'll have to lose some more weight!

Warren,
I have never met anyone that has admited to wearing out or breaking a toilet seat before.
I asked my son if you had.He said once...Said the guy was really over weight.
If it broke today,it sure wouldn't stand a chance tomorrow !!

Fred
The old seat is NOT broken and I've been abusing it (the seat, you dirty ...) for probably 20 years. Just a little old and neglected looking (the seat, you dirty ...).
It was the NEW seat I bought that was broken when I took it out of the box! If it broke in the box, I hate to see what would happen if I sat on it!
I guess I will not get another one of those seats if it can break during shipping. Maybe I'll order one of those flamed toilet seats I saw in one of the many catalogs I get in the mail.

Kristen & Warren,
That sounds really good. Hope the day goes great. I am a little depressed as I had to take Sweetheart to the hospital yesterday and Frenchy will have to go as well. I can't bring her home until Monday as the labs are closed, but one thing they found that was making her cry was she has thick intestines which was caused by an allergy to some of the food I have been feeding them. I am hoping the lab results will tell which one. But Frenchy is having the same problem and it started some time ago when I switched to another brand of dry food that the vet carries. I may call today even though they aren't open and see if I can get him in on an emergency basis as he is whimpering and starting to act more like Sweetheart did. I noticed he had started to whimper at night soon after I started to feed them that new food, but never thought anything about it. I was going to call and take him in, and now I wish I had. It is like they have a stomach ache and I can't even carry him without him whimpering every step. So my Thanksgiving is not going as I had hoped. That may be why they keep getting me up earlier each morning. They used to sleep until 2 AM, and then started getting earlier and earlier and now it is back to 11:30 PM and he was whimpering when he woke me up this morning.

Well, we have three inches and still falling.
Pulled a tree out of the road last night and my birch trees fell over from the wind.
Winter is here, no doubt about it.
It is suppose to be a wetter, snowier winter than we have been seeing these past years.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!!

Hey Tru,
Nice to hear from you. We thought that maybe you had gone to the Arctic for the winter to be warm. The Mt. Shasta Goddess has assured me that at least 10' of snow and cold wind are heading your way. Just send it on to warren when it arrives.

Yea, we all missed you. Warren called from his vacation and had the local police go by his house to see if you had come and stolen his Turtle.

Welcome back Tru. Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone else on CC ... even the Humpin Ho sisters.
Just watching the news ... its 61°F outside, but light rain. Supposed to be sunny tomorrow but only 38°F I remember seeing the sun about a week ago.

No more warm sun for you. The big snow and wind from Tru's area is on its way. Forget the Cobra, look for the snow shovel.

Just got in from a great Thanksgiving meal and evening with Cobra friends
here. Nice ride to and from in the Cobra - no rain, a full moon, and very
little traffic. What a great day - plenty to be thankful for everyday in this
great country of ours. Hope everyone out there had safe one.

Flip,
That sounds like the kind of weather I wish we had. Glad you had a great day. Mine was kind of depressing as my youngest pup is in the hospital with an intestine problem and I am taking Frenchy in this morning as he seems to have the same thing. May not see them again, but am hoping for the best.

We got lucky today - we can get a lot of rain this time of year so of course
I am getting new shingles now.
Wishing you the best with your pups, they are cuties. Hope the vet can get
them back in action for you asap. Great picture of them on the couch.
Bet you don't have dust on the floors with them running around!

Flip,
Thanks for the encouragement. I am really pretty depressed at the moment and am not sure what to do. I hope that you get your house finished before the rains start. I am going to have to have my roof replaced soon as those 20 year shingles last about 5 to 7 years in this hot sun, and this time I have to have it stripped as we are only allowed to have two layers. To do the whole house I will have to borrow money as the dumping of the old shingles is now considered hazardous waste and that costs more than all the rest combined.
I think maybe the person that said I was to old and shouldn't be allowed to post because I don't have a Cobra was right. I am thinking of asking Brent to remove me from the members list as I won't ever be able to afford another Cobra, so I do feel a little bad about being a member of a club and having no car.

Hang in there buddy - things will get better. Best wishes for you and the puppies. Probably just a reaction to the new food. Don't you dare stop posting on CC.
Well, I had a good day yesterday ... my stomach did not explode! The temperature got all the way up to 68°F and the sun was out. Today, its only 32°F with projected high of only 41°F The way the weather is going, it looks like the one ride I've had so far in November will be the only ride. I might as well move to MI and shovel snow like Tru.

Warren,
I will be taking Frenchy in this morning and leaving him for them to do the tests on as he seems to have the same problem and they both started acting this way at the same time. Maybe Sweetheart being smaller it bothers her more. I should have taken them both in about two weeks ago when they started acting strange and gradually stopped playing or doing a lot. As for the club, I don't feel right and maybe that person was correct about me being to old to understand anything and no one who doesn't have a car should be allowed.
