Warren,

You have been busy. Now you can help Kristen as Fred keeps making fun of her attached picture. I didn't have any trouble seeing it at all after I got my big magnifying glass.

Download the resizer tool from Microsoft. Then you can resize a photo down to the 75 to 100 KB size for loading it to any web site. Its real easy, especially since it will be a right mouse click function.

Look on right hand side of page about 3/4 down the page.

Isn't it just like scrap booking to a certain degree? My sister is heavily into scrap booking and she spend hours and hours on photos so she can print various shots of people.

She scanned in a photo from the 1920's of my father's family that was all crinkles and lines. She spent about an hour working on the one photo. After the work, you would swear it was just taken.

Warren/Ron,
Do you need to have XP for this tool ?
I think Kristen has a version earlier than XP.

The resizer tool will work on WinXP. I've heard there may be a problem with Vista, but I'm not sure.

Fred,

I am pretty certain it will work with 95/98 as well as XP. But it won't work with Vista from what I have seen. Only person here that has Vista refuses to let me try it as he is having so much trouble already he is almost afraid to turn his computer on.

Fred told her to save the file on her computer. Now she has to find the executable file and run it. Opppppssssssss. Looks like she did that already. Never mind.

The Image Resizer, when installed, enables you to resize one or many image files with a right-click.

First, download the file from this URL, and save on your desktop.

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe

When you have downloaded the file, close all programs and locate the file, ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe, on your desktop.

Double-click to launch the installer and follow the instructions, taking the default choice on each page.

When the installation completes, you are done. You can delete the file you downloaded from your desktop.
This little program modifies the right-click context menu such that, when you point to any standard image file, you will now see a choice in the menu called "Resize Pictures."

Kristen
Go to your gallery and at the top of the page, display 90 pictures per page with the selection set for Gallery.

Now scroll down to the bottom of the page and select

FILESIZE
BEGINNING
DESCENDING

and click on SORT NOW

This way, all of the biggest file sizes will be on page 1. Now scroll thru the pages and see which ones you want to delete.

Thanks Ron

So far, so good. I'm resizing about 20 pics at a time and putting them into new albums. Then checking the thread and revising the link so the pic shows.

Still have some more album titles I want to create.

Good thing I'm retired.

OK, time to put in the veggies for my corned beef dinner. Boy, does it smell gooooooooddddd.
