Yes, HLC went to Ireland.
Had a dusting of snow last night but its now 33°F and it has changed to light drizzle. This weather bites the bag, or maybe I should say "bites the hag" (as in the Mt Shasta hag).
I may have to check out some more books from my favorite library.
Beam me up Scottie - time for some breakfast.
Go Celts - crushed Houston last night!

Now off to bed without any dessert for not eating your squash. I also will not have time to read you a nice bedtime story ..... its a mystery.

Warren,
If you do I will return you the favor and mail you whatever comes up. I am not real sure what it will be at this point as I am not sure when to expect your package. This is no joke. The chunks will fly if it is even on the table where I am eating.

Yea, it rained here all day yesterday. It is true our lakes are full right now but the people downstream are still struggleing so we will be able to let more water out of our lakes to help them out. So the rain is welcomed.
Beautiful day out today, no rain and the sun is out. AHHHH, shorts and a golf shirt.
We may even grill out tonight.
I got the spell checker for the Google toolbar since it is the one I use. It seems to work good as long as I remember to use it.

Steve,
I just saw on the news that yo had a lot of rain there. I also received an e-mail from my cousin in Arkansas and they had 6 1/2" and all of their ponds were over flowing and they need a break. We are supposed to have showers today but so far it is just a real heavy overcast.

In some places we got over 8" in an 8 hour period. In others we got 5" in the same time.
It rained really hard here all day but I think they got about 5 1/2" at the airport, about ten minutes away.

Fred,
Your Avatar isn't bounding but the woman in the post is walking. I tried shaking the Avatar picture and it still won't move.

I think your spelling checker needs a check.

Hey That is funny as hell.
Even with the spellchecker I can't spell. I checked it and it said "No Errors"

Steve,
I have to watch that too. Reined is a word so the spell checker doesn't know that you meant something else. I have had mine say no errors but when I read it over I would see one where I had misspelled the word I wanted to use and what I put in was actually a word.

Yea, the damn at Lavon has been wide open for the last week, but it still flooded over on the north end of the lake and some areas at the south end where I live.

Joe,
I was watching on the news about all the rain you are getting in that area. They also showed a video of about half of a highway in Oklahoma I think it was just caving in due to rain and flooding and you could see the water take the dirt out from under it. By having the video of it and seeing only one or two pick ups there, I figured they knew it was about to go and had closed the road.

I had a laugh at the news last night. A DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) bus, went around a truck that was blocking the road, struck a curb and then was swept away by the flood waters. They had to rescue the driver and passengers. The reporter quoted the fire and rescue leader as saying that it was not an issue with the flooding, but an issue with a stupid driver making a stupid mistake. I was laughing pretty good, not too often you get someone telling it like it is anymore.

Joe,
Was the bus driver using a cell phone when he did that? I think that 99% of the wrecks around here are caused by people on cell phones. Some time back one of the RART (Redding Area Rapid Transit) buses hit a car stopped at a light and the driver was talking on his cell phone. I think they are going to not let the drivers have a cellphone on the bus now.

Well his comment was the truth. Just like the fools here that will drive into the water where the road is covered and then find out it is 4 feet deep instead of 4 inches. One place in Redding where the road is almost level with the river floods every time we have a lot of rain and every time they have to go pull a couple of cars out of it. Now as soon as they can get to that spot they put barriers up. And the people that drive there know that spot well and should have enough sense to not drive off into the water.

The water was several feet deep right there, They showed where the bus came to a rest and only the windows were out of the water. The water had also receded some, so it was pretty bad when he went into it.
