Also it is from Miss Keith Saiway, and signed Keith Saiway, so that means Keith is either a woman, or a very sweet guy.

Who is "Dear"?

I see the letter is making it's rounds again. We all are going to be millions dollars richer once these kids finish giveing us their money for investment.

38 this morning. I am thinking there has to be an end to this cool morning air, I can not feel good about driving the Cobra to work when it is cool like this outside.

38°F is colder than cool. I even had to wear two wool hats when I took this ride 2 winters ago, entitled "Cobra Ride 38°F".

GMW,

Well another Saturday to get through and it is around 54° here already and still a couple of hours until the sun gets up over the mountains. The high today is only supposed to be in the low 80s so that will be nice. I have to go over to my friends and have his wife cut my hair around 9:30. Yes, Warren, all 6 of them.

That light is usually red all of the time. There is no sign about No Right on Red. I'd say that 95% of all the traffic just blows thru that light. People only stop when there is traffic coming thru the intersection, and that does not happen too often.

You caught me. Of course, I could tell you that the light went green just after the light went out of view of the camera. You would believe that if you were a policeman.

Rain finally stopped at noon, but temp only got to 52°F. Going to be sunny tomorrow and a couple of nurseries have annuals on sale, so I think I'll do some gardening tomorrow.

The CEO of Pepsi is a woman named Indra Nooyi. She was raised in India, has powered Pepsi past Coke in stock markets, is praised and envied by CEOs for her corporate brilliance and touted for a Cabinet seat in Washington. Oh, she's also an active, devoted mother.

I don't know what Mr. Nooyi does but I know this. If he came to Pepsi
shareholders meeting and announced that he planned to be Pepsi's next president because he had slept with Mrs. Nooyi, fathered her kids and therefore was qualified to do her job, he'd be laughed out of the room.

Melinda Gates is Bill's wife. They've been married since 1994 and have three
kids. Melinda runs the Gates Foundation which is on target to amass $100
billion. It was her idea. But if Microsoft were to announce she was going to be
the next CEO because she was married to Bill and they had kids and they talked a lot and you know blah,blah.blah.....Well the stocks would tumble and the business writers would slap their thighs in laughing hysteria.

So why does Hillary have a large following among women? Her only unchallenged credential is being married to Bill. She flunked law school bar tests, never practiced law until her husband gave her a job when he was governor of Arkansas, meddled in health care with disastrous results(not her job) when she was First Lady. Her resume is so thin she has to tell whoppers like being under sniper fire in Bosnia and brokering peace talks in Northern Ireland. She then explains these preposterous lies as "mis-remembering"

So. A liar with memory problems is the best candidate female America can offer?

Please.

She should be viewed with hostility by all women who have built their own
careers. The message of her candidacy is that if women want to make it, the
first step is to marry right. How empowering.

Yet, polls show a huge following among females. I don't get it.

Yes, I understand the sentiment among women that says its a woman's turn to be President. I don't agree with it, but I understand it. I don't think "getting one's turn" is a qualification, other than for children, waiting for a swing in a playground. America has never had an Italian president. Should Italians get a turn. Poles? Amputees?

As for the notion that being married to somebody means you can do their job, the concept is too ludicrous for comment. I've known a number of talented women with great careers. I've had relationships with some of them and we talked about our work. That doesn't mean for a second, that they could do my job. Nor could I have done theirs.

There is some good news in all of this. The black candidate is being castigated for being an elitist. Wow. A black elitist. Finally! I'm old enough to remember that blacks couldn't stay in certain Canadian hotels and now they're elitists.

Thanks for that Hillary.

GMW. Everybody OK?

Nice article Ron. But a little slanted, even from this lifelong Republicans viewpoint. The only qualifications for President is being a natural born US citizen and 35 years old. That means you or I (and 100 million other people) are "qualified" to become President.

Hillary has enough negatives to spread around to another half dozen candidates. I'm going to vote for one of the 100 million other people "qualified" to be President.

Politics has grown into such a big mudslinging battle and most of "best" people that could run this country do not run for President. I know that I could never run for office because when someone tries to sling some mud my way, my response would probably be "FU".

Time for some breakfast.

Warren,

I never wrote the article. I just copied it from an e-mail and posted it. I haven't watched any of the political stuff on TV for the past month as it is all the same. No one will give any answers as to what they will do to help the country and everyone is full of blaming their predecessors for all of the problems.

Chilly this morning at a 52. Looks like it is going to T' Storm.

I am so tired of this politics crap. How about we just pick on the politicians.

BTW, Wings are 2 -0 against Dallas.

Supposed to be in the mid to upper 70s today and tomorrow and then 90 on Tuesday. They say possible triple digits by the end of the week.

Just vote the ba$tard$ out. Maybe we should start a new political party. All members swear that they will NEVER vote for an incumbent. Now that would be the ultimate "term limits" policy.

About 58°F here on the coast. About 65°F inland ... some places are expected to hit 70°F. Doubt I'll take a ride today, but if I do, I'll go due west.

I was going to take the Cobra to church this morning but the weather dictated
otherwise - it just dumped some serious rain for a bout ten minutes - I think
we'll take a car with a top. Temperature, as usual, is just fine. The lawns
need it, it has been a dry winter here.
Politics - I just thank the good Lord I don't have to rely on that means of
making a living - notice I didn't say "earn"!

After 4 hours of gardening I heard the Cobra say "Let's GO".

It was only 58°F so I decided to take a short ride.

Finally got back home in 2 hours ... so much for a short ride.

Warren,

Glad that you got to go for a drive. I won't be going for any more I don't think as my health has gotten so bad I can't hardly stand to drive up to get my medicine. And I am never going to see the Coupe again. So I have just written that off as a big mistake and am going to spend my remaining time around home with the dogs and do what I can to work on the house and yards.

Well we could sure use some of it. Send it out this way. So far we have already had four small fires around here but fortunately they were in low brush or grass and could be put out pretty quickly. I believe one of them was a Controlled Burn that got away from them.
