Hey Joe,
We have an unspoken pack in here to not throw each other under the bus. Now Fred can't help it you didn't get out of the way fast enough.

Sure is funny how Ron is the one to be AWOL and you are the one catching hell for it.

Tru,
Good bud, you deserve a break. Trun one or two cold ones up and enjoy the evening.

I thanked my neighbor for cutting down the huge tree in his front yard. I now have water views from my living room. Probably adds $25K to the value. But with the prices of housing dropping, its probably a wash.

The only reason he cut it down is that someone from his home owners insurance company looked at his property and he got a letter that said his insurance would go up by $2K if he did not cut down the tree!

I hear ya'. Took a 2 hour cruise to nowhere with my neighbor the other day. Drove around Boston. Pic is in front of one entrance to Franklin Park & Zoo.

Warren, you look sort of irritated or something. Did your neighbor take too long to take the picture?

Good shot of the statue, was this the neighbor's selection or yours?

Is the neighbor male or female?

I have lost the whole story/report on the sisters and the activity, but 20 pages back, it read about the same as it did the past 2 pages.

So, if you were going to take a trip, as a circle, leaving from Michigan and you were going to drive through California ( see my Aunt ), what would the route be?

Tru - I look irritated? Not me! I was probably talking to him regarding the camera.

Good shot of the statue, was this the neighbor's selection or yours?

Mine.

Is the neighbor male or female?

Male. But his wife is female.

Hey, its the CC soap opera!

So, if you were going to take a trip, as a circle, leaving from Michigan and you were going to drive through California ( see my Aunt ), what would the route be?

West, then south when you hit the water, and when you see the Mexican border, go northeast.

Tru,
A couple of years ago we went on an excursion. From here we went north west though Colorado and on to Washington and then down through Oregan and into California, then back across Arizona. yes we saw all the hot spots while we were gone. We were out a little over three weeks and I put 6,900 miles on the truck. Th kids had a blast as did we.

The Oregan coastline is not to be missed. I think it is Hwy 5, but I am not sure. There is a section of the road that has something like 165 turns it is absolutly beautiful country.

Not sure I would have enough time to make it to Oregon. Been there before, but not driving.

I am thinking south to southwest...over to Texas and then to AZ. From there to CA and then north.

GMW
Today is going to be a tough day. Its now 62°F outside, so I'll have to go for a ride this morning. Then watch the Indy 500 from noon to 5. Then the NASCAR race from 5 to 10 PM. Then watch the second half of the Lakers - Spurs game from 10 to midnight.

Better get in my stretching exercises now if I'm going to occupy the Lazy Boy chair for 12 hours.

Yesterday was a nice day for a ride. Got up to about 73°F but it was very cloudy. It was the first time this year I went for an extended ride without a jacket!

Yesterday was almost 100* and today is supposed to be 100*. The worst part is my AC went out yesterday and they did not show up to fix it. It got to a point yesterday where it was cooler outside than inside.

Joe, imagine what is was like when they didn't have AC.

GO REDWINGS!!!!!

What a great game.

38 last night. I am beginning to think we might as well begin the pre-winter startup at the rate the weather is going. Got to be the coolest spring we've had in the past 20 years.

I think we may should all listen to Tru a little better. It seems You have right idea.

Well Brent finally got whatever was messed up in my account corrected and sent me a different password to try. I am just going to use it as I am afraid to try and change back to the old one the way the site has been acting lately. Anyway it is nice to be able to get back on and see what everyone has said about me while I was left out.

Hey Ron,
Yeah what Steve said.

I also heard some talk that Joe was working on getting a new forum added to CC.
"Ron's Issues & Dysfuntions"

No telling what the Starter Threads were going to be.

Welcome back Ron. How many times did you cut the lawn while you were banished?

Tough day for a ride ... 75°F and sunny. No clouds, and just a little sea breeze so it was 70°F along the coast.

Only a one hour ride today. Have to conserve that gas!

Steve - just read that article in the paper this AM. Very interesting, but some people have gone over the top. Sorry, but no goats or chickens in my back yard.

Tru - Redwings??? Are they anything like Buffalo Wings?

GO CELTICS

If my AC was out because of no electricity, I could understand that. I bought a new house with a written contract for the warranty. It included 2 years parts and labor warranty from the builder. After that I have to handle the balance of the 5 year warranty from the manufacturer of the system. I expect the builder to uphold their end of the contract. Now that I know how Meritige Homes handles their customers. I know to not buy from them in the future.

I am still without AC, and my plans for today were canceled so I could wait here for the guy to show up. I have only been able to speak to 1 guy at the warranty line and I now am not sure he ever set up the service call. I have directly caught him in 1 lie that he could not weasel his way out of, and 2 more that I am sure he is lying, but I cannot directly prove it. This leaves me to question that he ever set up any service call. We stayed up until after 12AM last night waiting for someone, this morning, he claims that they called and left numerous messages but no answer and no call back. No messages were left. At 8:30 this morning, we are back on the list for today, but here at 4:30 no call and no show. Bob says that they cannot put us before other calls that came in before ours. The direct lie I caught him in was, he claimed that the Tech could not find the address. I asked how he looked, and he claimed that they used, google, yahoo, and mapquest as well as the latest Mapsco maps. The problem with that is the street is not on Yahoo or mapquest, but is on google and in the Mapsco. He cannot explain why he can call and get through with no issues, but the service techs cannot.

Sorry for the rant, I am just hot and irritated right now.

Joe,
They built your damn house, they know exactly where it is! You are getting the run around. Ask them how fecking many A/C units did they have go out in the last two days.

Screw em, what is wrong with it. I spent over 23 years building homes and I have built many thousands of homes over the years. What is the system doing? I do not know how much you know about the systems but maybe we can get up working even if just temporary till the clowns come.

If the system does not come on at all.
Check the T-stat make sure it is in the right mode.
Check the electric panel and make sure the breaker has not tripped.
Go outside and make sure the breaker is not tripped out by the units.
Check the units for ants around the electrical connections. (spray for them anyway) TURN THE POWER OFF FIRST.
Make sure the freon lines have not been hit by a mower or something else and come loose.
Go to the unit in the attic, take the cover off the front of it and look for a reset button. It should be the size of a small button and will usually be red, but sometimes it will be blue.
Turn off the electricity to the unit, count to ten and then turn it back on.
Make sure the door is installed correctly in the furnace in the attic. If it is off the fan may not come on.
Replace the batteries in the T-stat. I know they may be new but replace them anyway. The batteries may shut down the system. Is it keeping correct time?
Turn the furnace on, just to see if it comes on. Turn it back off. This may take a minute for it to come on. Go check in the attic and see if the furnace actually lights up.
If it is Gas make sure the vent stack is fastened correctly. If not this could cause the system to overheat, even with the A/C and it won't run.

The problem more than likely is either in the T-stat, with ants outside in the connectors or the motherboard in the furnace in the attic. But check everything.

How old is the filter? If the filter is stupid dirty it could cause the system to shut down as a safety measure. There are so many things to check but start here if you have not done this already.

Make sure some neighbor kid has not turned your A/C service "pull breaker" upside down on the box outside by the A/C unit. I have had that happen more than you can imagine. Just open the grey box the power cord is hooked into and pull out the breaker. It will have a handle for you to put your fingers around and pull it out. Yea I know you know to turn off the breakers first right!!!!!!! Make sure the connectors are in the right location. Some of them are even marked UP. Sometime the builders turn these upside down until they system gets ready checked and if you move in and they don't check it, it will not work at all. Basically no power is getting to the compressor, (the outside part)

Let me know what you find, we may be able to get something working, even if it is only temp.
