I know that Detroit isn't a model city, but are 86% of the inhabitants actually in prison or have been? If so, then the other 14% should be able to enjoy a relatively crime free life.

For you Southern guys that laugh at us Californians.
ATLANTA - The South tips the scales again as the nation's fattest region, according to a new government survey.
More than 30 percent of adults in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee are considered obese. In part, experts blame Southern eating habits, poverty and demographic groups that have higher obesity rates.
If they are living in poverty, how can they afford to eat so much?

Fred, I believe the 86% are heterosexual. Is there something you want to share with us?

The other 14% said they hadn't been to prison.

After your sincere ( ) request,I thought" hey why not".
Here is a previously undisclosed photo of me on my Road King crossing the Desert around The Big Bend outside of the ghost town of Terlinqua.
In this photo I have taken on my secret identity of Apex Rider.
My companion on the horse only showed up on film.

Fred - you look a lot like Nicholas Cage.
But we all know that the following picture captures your abilities.

GMS,
From your last post Warren I would guess that you are having a thunderstorm. Wish we could have a heavy rain that would last a day or so. They are making good progress on the fires and should have the big ones here contained this weekend and then they can start to put them out and the mop up. But the smoke and ash will be around for another two weeks or more and my eyes are really getting raw from all of this thick smoke. The smell isn't exactly great either. Those burning cars don't smell good at all, but the environmentalists can now claim they got another bunch off the highway.

Thunderstorm - yep. Fantastic light show. It was humid and mid 90's but the temp dropped a ton after the storm to about 70°F. Today is supposed to be just a little hotter.
Glad to hear that the fires are being extinguished.

Ron,
I was going to put a bid on the Cubs but they thought the $35.00 I was going to offer would be in-appropriate.
I am not sure if they meant it was too little or too much

Steve,
Quick, do it now while they are in 1st place. If they collapse later like the Mets did last year, that $35 dollars may be way to much.

That was an excellent come back Fred.
I have a call in to Paul, her husband, There is no answer at the house, so I do not know what is going on. Going to try again today.
Rain for two days...man is this nice for the plants and trees. You all probably remember me telling you about the tree that fell over after the tornado blew over...well two of our planted conifers were crushed. They look like they will recover with this rain.
The report back on the wind wings is...my wife likes them.
What are you all doing besides ribbing each other??
