Okay, Ron? What is GMS?

Is that Good Morning System? Or how about Good Morning S _ _ _ ? Then there is Good Morning S _ _ _ _ ?

Is there a reason we have slipped into "text" mode and can not communicate on the higher level?

I see...it is the young feeling you get when doing young things. Ron, you and Warren are past middle age. It's okay to use complete sentences.

I feel like I'm in the military.

Tru,

GMS meant Good Morning Saturday. It also works for Sunday so I can save typing each morning of the weekend.

Fred, did you lose your password again? Middle Age!! Surely you jest. Warren maybe but I am long past what you mere Earthlings would call Middle Age.

Ron

Middle age is anything over 65 years old, so I'm just a youngster. My father lived to 94 years young.

I can cut the humidity today with a butter knife. At least the temps are only in the mid 80's, but the thunderstorms are approaching. I can hear you. Boom yourself. Hurry up and pass thru so maybe I can go for a ride later.

GAS, Ron.

Dew-point of 73°F. OMG, here comes the thunder ....

KABOOM

I had to walk around the house to see if anything was damaged. Boy, did I jump. That one was loud! Must have hit close to my house because the flash and the boom were simultaneous.

Boy did it rain for 10 minutes. I even called Noah for a ride. It stopped as fast as it started and the clouds went away and the sun came out. The dew-point dropped to 71°F .. still oppressive. Now I can hear more thunder in the distance.

Warren,

Well at least your thunderstorms aren't starting any big fires. They are hoping for containment of the big one here today or tomorrow and then they can start putting it out. But with fires in the other counties all around us, the smoke will remain here in the valley for at least another few weeks. The cough syrup companies are doing a great business around here right now.

Better here. Temperatures are now just in the upper 90s with a little humidity and still more smoke than I would like but there will be smoke around here for quite a while yet. Still to much to stay outside for very long as my eyes really burn and my throat is still sore. But getting better.

GMA everyone

I bought one of the "Mother's" wheel balls and some Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish and cleaned the wheels on my truck yesterday. It took a little bit of effort but with the cordless drill it went smoothly.

As far as how it worked. I think it is the best wheel polish I have ever used. The ball cost about $25.00 and the polish cost @$5.00. But the wheels were really bad and now they look new again.

The stuff is water soluble (sp) so cleanup is easy. Just washed my hands with soap and water and it comes right off.

The ball held up pretty well to as I was really pushing it into those small places.

Brake pad dust stuck to wheels is a bummer if you leave it on for a long time. About 10 years ago, a friend gave me some "special" wheel cleaner in an unmarked gallon water jug. He said, spray it on, wait 1 minute and wash it off with a hose. No rubbing necessary. I still have about a 1/4 gallon left.

Fantastic stuff. Its amazing how clean the wheels are after using it. I use it about 2 or 3 times a year on my daily driver. Never on the Cobra because the last thing my friend said when he gave me the stuff, was to "make sure you use rubber gloves ... the stuff will burn your skin if you get it on you."

I guess the stuff is not environmentally friendly! Its probably some weak acid solution. If I got caught with the stuff in Kalifornicatia, I'd probably get the chair!

Steve

I tried Mother's Alum Wheel Cleaner/Polish, but a friend steered me to a German product. After the Mother's cleaning, I tried some Autosol and it took more dirt from the wheel and gave it a better shine.

Its expensive, but I use it on all the aluminum on my Cobra. A little goes a long way.

Warren,

That great wheel cleaner that you use on your daily driver is what they use to get rid of old tires out here. It just disintigrates them. Pus some on, wash it off, and then drive the car at about 80 MPH.

I always wet the tires first when I use that stuff, and I make sure to really wash everything afterwards. But it works great.

That wasn't an error.

It is risky posting on this thread.

Yea, you never know what kind of answer that you may get. Of course if Tru kept up with the thread he wouldn't always be about three answers behind. This thread has its own kind of warped logic in it.
