I have a very inquisitive mind. If I really do this, it will be with an analyzer, gloves, outside, mask, etc... I want to know what gasses are being put off, and what the reaction is. I used to get in trouble in chemistry class because I would want to try things, but it wasn't just to be destructive like everyone assumed, it was to find out what happened and why. That is how I got into electronics, I wanted to know how and why it worked the way it did.

LOL Warren. Not going to happen. I do not Tim Allen any of my experiments. It does no good if you are not around afterwards to tell the story.

Joe,
At least you got to play with chemistry. My parents would not let me have a chemsitry set when I was a kid and the only thing I got to do was the typical school chemistry experiments which were just mild.
I got into electronics and computers because I liked it, and my first two notable experiments were:
1 Almost electrocuting my Father!
2. Learning just how much voltage it took to make a full grown frog explode. In my Mother's kitchen.

I guess that the bum leg cuts down on your experiments. Can't run fast enough to outdistance big booms or fireballs. Make sure you have a blanket so you can send smoke signals to the fire department.

Well, how much voltage did it take, Dr Frankenstein?

Just enough for 10 lashes across the butt with a razor strap. For you young people a razor strap is a leather strap that barbers used to have attached to their barber chairs to sharpen the straight razors on.

Yesterday I was too tired to think about it, but I am staying in room 427.
Ron,
The chemistry sets did not come until after I had a job (paper route) and I bought them myself. I am actually one who took my dads drill apart to see how it worked and put it back together. He knew something was up because in the process, I had to clean it so I could see what was going on. It was working better than before when I was done and that is what gave me away. I still got in trouble though. I didn't have permission to 1 touch his tools 2 take the drill apart, 3 touch his tools, and 4 touch his tools.

Joe,
Our Fathers sound a lot alike. I was not allowed, ( supposed to ), touch any of his tools or things unless I asked first. You only took a drill apart and made it better. I took the radio out of my Father's car to see how it worked and what made that buzzing sound. It was a 1952 Ford and the radio had those old vibrators they called them to change the DC to AC. Anyway when I put the radio back in the car I forgot to plug the vibrator back in. Dad went to listen to a ball game and nothing. And of course, I was the first person he started yelling for.

Nice sunset Warren,
I have spent the morning so far working on one of my sinks. Finally got the plastic nut off that holds the ball in which lifts the stopper without breaking it. It has been on there since 1976 and was stuck so I went to the hardware store to make sure that Jim had some new ones in stock in case I broke this one. Then I got a pair of pliers and very easily tried turning it and finally it moved just a little and once that happened the rest was was easy. And for 5 minutes work I saved myself a $90 dollar plumbing bill.

Around these parts, you could not get a plumber to fart for $90.

Ron,
The drill was just 1 example. I will say that my dad pretty much would let me use his tools as long as they were put back. I did not put the 9/16 wrench back in the right place one time and he said I could no longer borrow that wrench. Every time I needed a 9/16 wrench I had to use a crescent wrench. I learned quickly that I had to not only return it, but return it to the proper place. I was always working with him on cars and he knew I was curious and determined to get it right so he would give me jobs and not say anything unless I was about to do something so bad that it was not recoverable. When I was 12 he sent me outside to change the rear gears in his truck. That is where I learned how important the Shims were.

I am up and about to hit the shower. Gotta go in and get this project done. I am hoping to be able to return home by Friday this week and not have to come back. I will be going home this weekend either way though. My anniversary is on Sunday and we already have reservations made.

Happy anniversary Joe, and I hope that you get the problems solved so you don't have to come back.
I just got back from taking the dogs for their morning walk. It really hasn't gotten to hot yet this morning and the smoke is higher up than it has been, so all in all it is a pleasant morning here considering what they have been like for the past 5 weeks.

Are you real sure about that ?
Warren will tell you from first hand experience, that age & memory just don't mix.
If he remembers.
You might double check before next Sunday.
