They moved it back and to the right last summer when someone hit it so hard it broke and fell. Now you have to go through the light, enter the drive to the bank and make a hard right or veer right through the light go into the ditch and come out to hit it. Just crazy how people are blowing through a light so fast in a 45 MPH zone to accomplish that.

It was a good evening. We actually got more rain throughout the day. It rained on me lightly the whole way home and today is actually quite comfortable outside 85° and 72% humidity. I just went outside during lunch and was amazed at how comfortable it is. So much better than before. I was thinking that you were over by Fort Worth, is that correct or where are you at?
Of course by Thursday back up to 100° Then isolated Thunderstorms so that is good for us.

Well now that the smoke has cleared out our heat is coming back. It was 104 yesterday and they say by Friday we will be entering a heat wave that may top out at around 117 next week. August is definitely here.

For some reason I thought you were farther out. Not that far at all.

I think we are getting rain again tomorrow.
This has been one of the best years for watering the trees and plants.
I am not sure we will have enough tomatoes in time to can. They are getting late in the season from the temperatures.

Guess what? I got some rain today. What else is new. It started to sprinkle just as the cruise night was ending, and it rained all of the 7 mile drive home. Of course, it stopped raining about 1 mile from my house.
At least it forced me to clean the car. Cannot put it away wet like a horse.
Oh, and the temp was about 65°F. Jacket weather. Brrrrrrr.

Tru,
It was 70° here this morning at 2AM. And there is a real bad stink of smoke in the air. Some of the hot spots they are finding and putting out now. Kind of like when you burn brush and then pour water on any big logs or chunks that are still smoldering and get that smell. This will most likely go on for a wek or so as they find more of these things that will suddenly start smoking and burst into flames. But today is only supposed to be around the 107 mark if they got it right.
I try to keep my air set on 73 as the way my house is built the hot sun hits it from the minute it comes up over the mountains in the East until it sets in the West. On the really hot days I can't get the inside temperature below around 78 degrees. And I am really having trouble with my throat and lungs from all the smoke and ash I have breathed in, but so are most of the people that I talk to. Last year I went to the hardware store and bought one of those really cheap green tarps and hung it from the roof to the ground and that blocked the sun from hitting directly on the back wall all day and left an air space about 2 feet wide in there. Then the wind came up and that tarp shredded like confetti. I am going to get another one in the next day or so. No car today as I am having Jack check the brakes on it.
