Rain everywhere. Rained yesterday afternoon, all night and looks like an all day rain today. Tomorrow supposed to be very windy and about 90°F, but Tuesday sunny with hi temp at 67°F. If you do not like the weather in New England, wait a few hours and it will change.

Looks like the rain in Loudon may stop so they can get the NASCAR race completed.

Warren,

Not rain everywhere. I have almost forgotten what it feels like to have it falling on me. Now dust, smoke, and ashes I can relate to. We are having a very mild September so far temperature wise. Only getting up to around 98/106. That is almost Winter here for this month.

GMW

Well it just rained here a bit yesterday and today it is all clear. Nice breeze and not too hot, yet.

Tru it looks like it is headed your way, so you will get even more rain.

The stories of power loss and devastation coming out of the area is bad, but it doesn't seem to be as bad as it was with Katrina, so we can all be thankful for that.

Ron, I said "everywhere". Since you live in "Nowhere, CA", it does not count. Nowhere is centrally located inside mudslidewhere, forestfirewhere and earthquakewhere.

By any chance, is Mt. Shasta a dormant volcano?

Steve,

I was watching some of the news and pictures they were showing this morning and there are some places that got hit pretty hard, but I believe it was one of the Texas National Guard people said that so far they hadn't found any place that was as bad as they had planned for in a worst case scenario. So that is good. Huge amounts of fallen trees everywhere though it seemed. Maybe they could hire Tru to come plant new ones once this is all cleaned up.

And the amazing thing to me is that so far they said they have only had four deaths that they know of. Two in Texas and two in Louisiana. It would be fantastic if that is all that was killed and a miracle also.

Tomorrow will be four days of rain. My sump-pump is running every 30 minutes.

Good thing I have things to do in the house while it is raining.

I got the skull separated from the hide on the boar. That is one nasty job. Stinks and looks worse that $h!t. Anyway, after a preliminary cleaning, it looks okay.

I had six Turkeys and eight deer in the back yard this morning. The deer snort at the big birds and the turkeys do a little gobble and skoot to the side. I tried to get a shot of them with the camera, but the moment I was able to even see them outside, they were gone.

Wild Turkey tastes good.

Was a really nice day today. Ended up taking the wife for a ride to a bookstore over an hour away. It was a good day to go for a ride so I filled up the Mustang and off we went. Temp was nice, traffic was really light until we were almost home. Made me wish I still had the convertible. It was a good day.

Fred
Oct 27, 2005. Time flies. It stopped raining finally, but the humidity has gone thru the roof. Its about 70°F and everything is sticky. Ugh!

Yea Pats 2-0, going for another Superbowl.

Did anyone see the Chargers get shafted? What a fiasco!

Warren,

all of the volcanoes in the so called Pacific Ring of Fire are active. My. Rainer, Mt Hood, of course My. St Helens, and Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen. At times you can see the team from Lassen forming a cloud around the top of the cone and if you drive up there, they have plenty of active areas where you can see steam boiling mud pots and such. One place called the sulphur works is as yellow as if you had painted it and stinks until I limit my time there. Lassen has a continual record of seismic activity. But they seem to think that Rainer will be the next one to blow.

This sounds as if it is right up your alley. You should go and take some pictures. Heck, drive the 442 for a change.

What is right up my alley? Pictures of what? Cannot drive the 442 ... still rebuilding it. Too much Cobra driving has cut down on the 442 restoration.

Warren,

Old age fart. I forgot to put the link in the post and now I don't have it. Oh well, just pretend you know what I was talking about. I don't.

Cut down on Cobra work during your next 8 month Winter and get on the 442. It will be worth a lot when you get it finished.

Don't worry, snow is on the way. You and Warren are in for a long, cold, and very snowy Winter.

GMW

Tru,
Get outside quick! It might start raining again.

Warren,
What are you going to drive in the winter if the 442 isn't finished?

Fred,
I always like to just go for a drive and spend time with my wife. Your right it is good to get away, even if it is just for a little while.

Fred,
I have not heard from Tom in a weeks, have you talked to him since his BBQ?

Ron,
No wonder your tired all the time, go take a nap!

Joe,
It seems you and I are the only normal ones around here. We need to work on that

HLC
We still miss you

That is what Joe said too but he said he wasn't sure about you.
