Beat LA, beat LA, beat LA.
This is a repeat of a post from June.
What a weird day. Light rain all morning and it stops at noon. Sun out brightly at 1 PM but 2 PM thunderstorm for 5 minutes and stops. Thirty minutes later another thunderstorm with temp of 59°F. Sun came out again for 30 minutes and then starts raining again.
If you do not like New England weather, just wait a minute ... it will change.

Warren,
Go work on Turtle. The basketball season ended some time ago. The rain is not going to end any time soon. It will soon be followed by snow and then the worst blizzard in 100 years. And we will most likely still be having small fires out here.
When you get bored do what I do. Take a nap.

Darn,
I missed that. I thought they started today. This time I m with you. I like the Dodgers more than the Angels and am really a Cardinal fan but it is embarrassing to admit it the way they have played the past two years. Since the Yankees never made it either I feel better so I am going to be a Red Sox fan for the playoffs and series. Just a temporary one though.

Warren,
You missed out on this great buy. A woman bought a house in Michigan for $1.75 on e-bay.

I was in Mapsco today getting a map for our ride this weekend into Arkansas.
The clerk asked about my trip.Told him I was riding my bike to Arkansas Saturday.
His advise was to "peddle faster if you hear banjo music".
Stopped by Auto Zone and picked up some octane booster.

LMAO Fred. Even though I think that if you hear banjo music you will have a sense of being at home.

Did you notice that there were another 7 people that bid on the house! Someone probably started it off with a bid for a nickel.
I would not want a house close to Tru. Too much snow.
Tru - nothing is going on. We are all waiting for you to tell us about your new job.
I had a great 3 hour nap today, worked on the Cobra, finished straightened out my small hardware storage cabinets (been working on that for almost a week), went food shopping, sent out half a dozen e-mail jokes, watched TV, watched the debate, read 2 papers, found a couple of places where I can get some touch up paint for the Cobra, ate 3 meals and watched my 401K turn into a 301K.

Darn Warren,
With all of that work yesterday you will need to sleep all day today. I think Tru has to drive quite a ways to his new job and most likely doesn't have much time when he gets home for playing on the computer. But at least he is working.
How is Turtle coming along? You haven't mentioned him since you broke his leg.

Turtle is sitting in the nude down cellar. I need to give him a few coats of varnish and he'll be ready to chase them rascally Humpin Ho Sisters if they ever get here.
Hey Miss K!
Did you find out who put the cow on your lawn? Still waiting for pictures!
Good debate last night. Both won. No gaffes by either one. And I think the moderator did a good job too.
Its 45°F outside. It's getting cold around here. Highest forecast temp over the next ten days is only 64°F. Guess I'll have to get out the wool cap and gloves for my Cobra rides.

It is cooling down here also. We actually had enough sprinkles yesterday evening to make the driveway wet all over. But if I walked fast, I could almost go between them they were so few. It did really cool everything down though and that must smell from the dust in the air was kind of bad.

Looking at the weather this morning, it looks like Ron is going to be playing Chicken Little. I am waiting for the post of him screaming we are all going to die. Water is falling from the sky. What in the universe can cause such a thing to happen? etc...

Joe,
You are almost correct. It is actually sprinkling this morning but not enough so far to even have all of the dust damp. But the cool air is a welcome thing for sure. And it would really be nice if we would have a good long soaking type rain. We don't need a downpour as all of the burned areas on the sides of the canyons would slide into the river. I just got back from my 1 1/2 mile of walking, running, the pups and they sure do better than I do. Now they are chasing each other and growling and I can hardly walk.
