Cleaning out my tool boxes last week. I was going to throw away a bunch of stuff, but I gave most of it to my neighbors and brother in law. They were like seagulls attacking food.
There is one item left - anyone want it? Free?
Its a metal case that came with 1/2 inch drive sockets.
Sorry, no sockets ... just the case.
PM me your snail mail address if interested.

Warren,
Looks somewhat like the one that I have which belonged to my Father, but it is full of sockets and extensions. Also not so long and has a divider where the sockets set.

holy mackeral, batman, we did one!!
peter and i sat down for HOURS this afternoon, going through online applications for colleges, and actually got one 'submitted'. Unfookin' believable.
gawd. what a task.
did the 'easy, automatic acceptance, no essay, no brainer, cheapest fee, confidence gaining one' first. whew!!!! next??????????????????????????????
it has been a crazy weekend, with a nailbiter football game, then volleyball early saturday am, then Dallas Cobra lunch, then home to get ready for #3's 12th birthday party, which started at 4, with 9 girls and two moms. we went to the nearest 'nice' mall, where she got her ears pierced, then shopping a bit, then to dinner, a movie and finally dragged those girls home at midnight. boys had some friends over and it was a zoo! i finally told the girls to go to sleep and i meant it this time at 2:30..... ugh.
got up and dragged their little butt's to church, then out to pizza, home for cake and presents, then GO AWAY at 1: 30. took a two hour nap, and had chips and bday cake for dinner. THEN cleaned up the kitchen, house, and worked on those applications, and read all the details for the colleges. (what references, what essays, that stuff) and finally now in my jammies goofin' off.
hehe.
tomorrow....... all starts over again!
our football team is undefeated, 6-0, and probably have the toughest game of the regular season this week. At least it is a home game. They both played hard this past friday night, but won't as much this week as this coming up game is a 'running' team, and last week was a 'passing team'. my boys are more involved with the passing defense, although #2 plays both sides of the ball.
ok. well enough chatter. just thought i'd tell ya'll about my weekend. Next weekend isn't quite as busy..... YET!
ttyl!

Wow Kristen - I got tired just reading your post. You be one busy wahine!
UH actually beat Fresno - how did that happen? My son is getting ready to
return to the US of A after 6 months in the warm country. I am sure we will
be blessed with a new grandson on or about 9 months from his return.
We are looking forward to checking out our house in Montgomery, Texas in
November but have had friends check for us already and all is well with it -
Ike left us alone. From there we will continue east to Pope AFB in North
Carolina to visit our son and family.
Sounds like slow motion after your weekend. I'm hoping you will be able to
slow down in time. We were lucky in one sense - only one boy but he did
keep us busy now that I think of it.

Here is a picture of my 20 y/o niece jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.

Great picture Fred. But I would bet that you never took it. Maybe when the motorcycle gets tiresome you can take that up for fun.

hehehe. but.... now it's monday and i LOVE monday's!!!!
have scrapbooked about 6 pages in Peter's senior album, have had a NAP at 8!!! ( )
and ready to go have a lovely lunch by myself and do a little grocery shopping before i go get the girls at 3/3:30, and then maybe another nap at 4..... then start dinner.
I LOVE monday's!!!!
makes up for the too much weekend syndrome we have around here. poor little kiddies had to go to school and be awake! poor little kiddies!
also... David left after dropping off the girls, and went to his pretend office, and i've been enjoying the peace and quiet! so... i do get little pockets of time by myself.
it has sprinkled, rained a bit this morning. Dang good thing, as it was getting kinda dry.
not a lot, but enough to not have to water the yard. that's good. you should see my water bill. but really, my electric bill is what really sucks.
have a great day!
i LOVE monday's.........
gotta go deposit a cashier's check, too.
K

Well that is a happy ending to a fine day!
But 2 naps in one day????? That's getting into our league (me and Ron). I only had one today for about an hour ... just a short one, so it really does not count as a nap!

I am not sure, but I think this is the most posting HLC has done in a long time. Two on the same page.

"airgasms"
Is that what causes you to jump out or what happens when you realize you jumped out of a plane ?
She is so quite, calm and reserved you would never guess she is a nut case.
I heard nut case is the technical term for skydiver.
There isn't much she would rather do.

I don't know if this is out of line, but I'm curious how much water cost a round the county
I have a small track home on less then a 1/4 acre and my water bill is about $175.00 in the summer and about $75.00 in the winter .

Mike,
My house is small also and on about 3/4th acre, but I quit watering the lawns years ago as for some reason grass just won't grow here in the Summer. Many of my neighbors had gravel hauled in and covered their lawns with it. The grass will take off and look great and then just die. I even had a man for one of the nurseries come out and take soil samples and he said it varies so much form one yard to another that some will never grow well.
To answer your question, if I do several laundries and a bunch of other water using things, my bill runs from $11 to around $17 per month. Of course the rationing has really made me watch the meter too. Go over the limit and it will jump by $70 dollars for the first step alone.

Normally we are around $25 per month but last month was $96. I didn't realize it but the flapper valve in the guest bathroom toilet was bad and caused the toilet to run all month. We used 18000 gallons and since we went over 10k gallons, we had a $20 surcharge.

My house sits on 1/2 acre....
I use an average of 1,500 gallons,$40,with the sprinklers off.
An average of 18,000 gallons,$95,when I run the sprinklers twice a week.

Water costs what it costs me to pump it.
I have a 240 foot well.
