Yep, I'll bet the People in Arlington, Texas are sucking wind right now as they voted to INCREASE taxes for Jerry Jones to get a new Cowboys Stadium.

The last I heard the cost was $400 Million OVER budget and the thing is now only 50% done. It is expected to cost $1.4 BILLION to build. The taxpayers voted for $600 Million PLUS cost overruns on the construction. Can you say "BLANK CHECK"

Just got home from the 1st annual Hawaii Kai cruise-in. The weather was
great, met a new to us Cobra owner (nice Shelby csx4000 glass car). Kei
and Miki Iinuma joined us, having returned from their 6 month stint in
California. He has put over 48k miles on his Shelby CSX8000 series Cobra
which I think he has had for about 3 years. His MidStates over here has
about 120k miles. This couple do some driving!
It was a great turn out and there were some very nice cars there of all kinds.

Fred,

That was a good game and I feel Texas should be considered for # 1 now as Oklahoma played well and it wasn't just a bad game for them. I thought that Texas really outplayed them in the 2nd half. But remember, so far being ranked # 1 normally means losing the next game. Just ask USC.

The Big 12 has to be the best conference this year.Going into yesterday we had #1,3,5,7,16,17.
If Texas had stopped to catch their breath,Oklahoma would have won.
Great game !

I think they did call a game one year for snow. I was hoping to see Boston and the Dodgers in the series, but now it looks as if it will be the Phillies instead of the Dodgers.

Detroit has a team, the Tigers but they never made the playoffs. If they were to have a lot of early snow and had to delay the games, it wouldn't leave much of an off season for sure. Boston lost yesterday and they are plating Tampa Bay for in the ALCS. Whichever team wins goes to the World Series.

So the only chance Detroit has for having a game called for snow would be at the start of the season ?

That may be the reason I like watching yankees play hockey so much.

The Dawn Keye Diet. This really works.
A friend of mine, who is a nurse, talked to me about the Atkins Diet, Jenny Craig,Weight Watchers & the latest of course,The South Beach Diet.
Since she is a nurse, & has done a lot of study & research on dieting,I truly think she has found the real answer to weight loss:

Red Wings? Is that something like over-seasoned Buffalo Wings?
Maybe its a bloody bird?

Tough weekend. Car show Sat morning. Five hour ride Sat afternoon. Four hour ride Sunday. Will post some pics later.

They have Red Birds back in Arkansas and Missouri. I asked my cousin about them some time back and he said they still have them. Solid red and look just like the ones on the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team uniforms.

Warren, you made that same joke last year...as the wings won the Stanley.

Both of ya are just wondering when a hockey team from your neck of the woods is going to win the Stanley.
