I took the Cobra out Saturday and Sunday. It was great.
I had to fix a headlight, the screws had come loose.

Tru,
We have no hockey team around here. I think San Francisco or San Jose may have one but am not sure. We do have some school soccer teams where the parents go to yell and fight with each other.

We got a hockey team in Boston. Its called the Bruins. They have not won in a while, but we have multiple champions in the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtic and even the Revolution. That's enough to keep us happy.
Of course, Detroit has the award for current Stanley Cup holder and Murder Capital of the USA. Oh I almost forgot ... the Detriot Lions who have lost to the Cowboys (and a few other teams) on Thanksgiving Day every year since I was born.

went to the State Fair of Texas today.
Big Tex has on a yellow shirt this year
rode one ride with the kids. one was enough!
called 'The Mouse' or something. fast, jerky, and rough.
lots of fun.
spent a small fortune and glad we only go every few years.
looked at several trucks for Peter.
He is about to 'hand over' the 96 land cruiser to Graham, (who will be 16 next month) and then he'll get a new truck.
Until then, he'll drive the '95 F250.
David might trade in his '06 F250 on something for Peter.
Or maybe a sedan for himself.
We sure liked the Colorado- a GM truck.
the F150 is pretty standard fair.
We'll see!!
Y'all have a good week!

Fred,
This is indeed an interesting time we lie in.
I am not willing to say it is over, but I will say this is a step in the right direction, and I have not said that in many, many years.
That is not to say it still won't or can't crash. I still believe the election will have a say in this before it is over.
But No politics on this thread.
There is enough outside this thread to make anyone sick!

I always like the looks of old barns and houses. Here is one I passed during my ride on Saturday afternoon. I'm sure the price is right if its for sale.
I also took a ride thru Wompatuck State park which is about 10 miles from my house. I'll have to come back here when the fall color comes out. Some of the roads thru the park were very straight and looooong, but I kept the speed and noise down. There were a lot of people camping out.
Does anyone need any natural gas to keep warm this winter? There still are guards on duty 24/7 since 9-11 at this LNG tank. This is about the closest I could get to the tank and get a nice shot with the Cobra.

Just a little. Let me know when the Dow gets back to 14000.
After last weeks stock market slide, here is a picture of my 401K/IRA leaving the harbor.
The picture of the cruise ship really does not show how effin big it is! Huge! I drove up to the dock 3 minutes before it left the dock. Good timing.

Very interesting times for sure.
Today could just as easily be "Dead cat bounce"...
I sure will be glad when the arguements change to somethings besides politics. I about had enough for 4 more years.

Warren,
Nice pictures as usual. Are here any neighbors close by the house? I kind of like the setting.
As for your 401k sailing off on that cruise ship, I think they have been relegated to barges and not ships now. Nice jump in the stock market yesterday but now to see if it can hold and actually start to pick up some.

Warren,
What is happening with the Red Sox? I had hoped to see them and the Dodgers in the World Series but the Dodgers are all but out of it now after losing again last night. And the Red Sox haven't exactly blown Tampa Bay out of the play offs yet either.

HLC, is that the same 95 we looked at?
How are:
the door window?
seat?
door panel?
I just want to know how long the fixes survived.
I need to call you.
Hello everyone. These long days are killing me. Leave at 6 and get home at 10...yuk!

Did anyone other than me notice that HLC is related to Jessica Simpson? She does look a lot like her .... but ......
HLC goes to a game and the Cowboys lose ....
The Cowboys also lost the next game too ....
... and now we hear that Tony Romo is registered to vote in Nevada, and he will be out on injured reserve for the next 4 weeks due to a broken finger.
Miss K - I've just sent you airfare to Tampa Bay and some playoff tickets. Maybe you can help the Red Sox? Please. Hopefully you are a Tampa Bay fan.
I'm glad you had fun at the State Fair and rode the Wild Mouse. Not me ... I hate roller coaster rides. The last one was about 20 years ago at Disney World ... Space Mountain. It took me 3 minutes to pry my fingers off the hand rail after the ride finished.

Warren,
I tried to post this morning but it didn't go through. If you like the old barns and homes, you should take a ride through farm country in the midwest. Get off the freeways and drive the highways. There are tons of buildings like that and in worse shape all over where I grew up in Nebraska.

In the middle of AUGUST the neighbor cut the cable line to the house with a chain saw. There is a tree linb growing THROUGH the cable that supplies the signal for internet and TV to the house.
EIGHT service tecks have been out here to look at it. They all say:
"Yep, I'll bet that is the problem"
Then proceed to pile there lazy asses in the truck and leave. NOTHING DONE, I could scream.
MInd you this is the main supply line and not the line to the house. It is the one on the Pole leading from pole to pole. NOT pole to house. The line is cut. We were outside when the moron cut it with the chain saw. It got hung up and almost pulled the saw from the clowns hands.
I am so increadibly frustrated. When you call they put you on this damn "push one for english" "pass the buck" automated system. After about thirty minutes you get a recorder to leave your message and someone will call you back. Yea, right!
I suppose these idiots think it will be easier to fix in the winter with sleat and rain and it being all of 15* outside...................
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Rant over, but still mega pissed at Time Warner.
I have to steal a signal from an unsecured wireless to get through. It is getting OLD!
