Steve - what is a goon morning? Maybe Friday, but not on Sunday. Is that when you wake up with a lot of hair in your mouth? You cannot blame it on fat fingers either.

Ron & Fred - you don't have enough class for turtle meat. On the other hand, frogs puréed in a blender make a good pâté. You really have to be fast with the top cover or those little rascals will jump out.

Tru - just what is a "hydraulic deck" and what is it used for? Your rain will get here Tuesday. They forecast the first dusting of snow on Tuesday, up in Cow Hampshire.

Fried calamari be good eatin.

Kristen - I'm on Oahu, over the hill near the Marine base. If you make it to
Oahu be sure to let me know. We are here most of the time - will be making
a trip to Texas now and then - I got to take care of my baby there #142.
When do you think you might make it out here?

Goon afternoon Steve.

Went for a doctors visit this AM. Heart still beating, so everything OK. I made a long list of things to do this afternoon, but I see that it is sunny and the temp is up to 66°F. Tommorrow is supposed to be rainy. Guess I can do all of my projects tomorrow. Got some of them done this morning, but I may have to go for a ride. Decisions, decisions. What should I do?

Byyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

A hydraulic deck uses hydraulics to move it into position and some use hydraulics to power the implement along with being moved into position.

HLC, I'll call you later.

Warren,

Let me add my congratulations to Fred's. Also you had better get your snow tires for the Cobra soon as I hear they are having a bit run on them with the predicted long, VERY COLD Winter you have coming.

It is cold this morning. 30° according to the NOAA site. A week ago I was wearing shorts, so this cold front really dropped the temp fast.

It is cold here this morning, 48°, and is supposed to rain by next weekend. We did have some light cloud overcast yesterday that kept it cold all day. Never got above 81. But I will believe the rain when I see it. They had two different forecasts in the paper for our Winter here. One was a very cold and DRY one and the other was a very cold and WET one. Either way it looks as if we are in for a cold Winter.

Special for you.

Cool this morning, in the mid thirties at my place.

Visited a friend last night and fixed her electrical. Took more time to get the parts than to actually fix the outlet.

Supposed to snow. Got rain and ice yesterday. Supposed to be four inches up in the U.P., but I haven't confirmed it yet.

Are you all ready for winter?

We need to more plows and tractors after this weekend.

Thanks Fred - you keep up the good work too. It was 3 years at 2 PM yesterday in the oral surgeon's parking lot. Cold turkey after 40 years of smoking.

Yes, I did get a nice ride in yesterday. The temp was about 62°F when I left. It was brisk along the coast .. so it was wool cap, driving gloves and jacket. But about 5 miles inland, it was probably above 70°F, so no jacket needed. I was gone for 3.5 hours and only put 33 miles on the odometer. When I came back at about 5 PM, the fog was rolling in, and the temp along the coast was about 50°F as the sun started to set. The last few miles were brisk, to say the least. I went looking for some nice fall color ... I will post some pics later.

Its 51°F here in Taxachusetts. That is the predicted high temp for the next 2 days with rain showers to keep the grass green. No water shortage here!

Guess I'll have to do all the chores I had planned for yesterday but were bumped for a nice ride!

Great - if I haven't met you sometime in Texas by then I can here. At the
least I can fill you in on what's happening here - I have been here over 30
years and have spent time on nearly all the islands.

I am going to try to make the Austin weekend in March if at all possible.

Hey, stop swearing in the Lounge. I said "chores", not "work".

Just added some pics to the Fall Color thread.

The Fall color Thread is starting to have some very nice pictures in it. Maybe I should add some black and burned houses to tone it down.
