Whew
Fred, Joe... What will we do with all this sunshine? It was nice outside this morning for my morning walk. Not chilly, just right.

The brake booster went out on the STS. The master cylinder tested out fine.

Well, I am in Mexicali Mexico, so I am enjoying the sunshine here.

Joe,

Isn't that just an extension of Texas. Kind of like being home but just in a different part of the state.

Ron,
NOTHING in California is like Texas.

Thank you God, for making the above statement true and correct.

Texas is nothing but leftover dirt from California. Actually, Arizona and New Mexico never liked Louisiana, so they stuck Texas in the middle as a buffer zone.

Went to Odd Lot warehouse to get a few things. Spent $150, which was not planned! But I could not find one item that I really needed, so I zipped over to Wal-Fart. Holy crap - spent $130

ARGGGGGGG!!! Thursday morning and just overcast and cool. Still none of the 4 days of rain they forecast. Now I see Friday is supposed to be clear and sunny. Guess I had better head to the lake with a bucket while there is still water there.

It is going to be a long and boring day today. Just a little to cool to be comfortable outside and really nothing that I can do inside except read the rest of my Stephen King book.

Steve,

I have been through the Pan Handle of Texas a few times and you are correct. It is nothing like California. their idea of road kill seems to be a few tarantulas. Here it is getting to be pedestrians.

GMW

Its a balmy 37°F outside, which Tru and I call great swimming weather.

Think I'll pay the bills today.

Does anyone think the DJIA will hit ZERO? Wall Street is being moved from NYC to Las Vegas.

Warren,

I don't know what the DJIA will hit, but this morning it is getting close to the 8,000 mark in early trading. Doesn't seem that long ago they were talking about breaking the 14,000 mark. I received my statement from the broker yesterday wanting me to send money to cover my stock.

Rain.

Well, I think Warren needs more 'thingamabobs' for his 'dohicky'.

Guys, I purchased a TV. I got the SamSung LN52A850. Thanks Warren for the report, I used it to make my selection. I also noticed it has gone up in price $300 since I purchased it ( go figure, but I got the good price ).

So, I am now more poor than I used to be, but with the miracle of credit cards, I do not feel it...yet.

Tru,

What size screen is your new TV? Also did you get the LCD or Plasma and is it the High Definition? I have been looking at some of the flat screen thin ones and can't really decide if it is worth the bother.

The stock thing was just a joke. I don't have much left as I got rid of most of mine several years ago and what I do have left barely brings in enough to cover the yearly brokerage fee.

My doohickey is too big now without help from Thingamabobs or Whatchamacallits.

Glad I could help drain your checking account. Now get back to work. You are going to have to work harder when I start collecting my SS checks. Only question is do I start at 62.5 or wait to 66 years. I think I'll follow that famous movie line "Show me the money!"

Time to go pick up my new glasses. The frames have got all wacked out of shape over the last few years, so I went back to see if they could fix them. They said no, but there is a 5 yr warranty on the frames. Yahoo.

Warren,

I need shirts with crutches and canes on them. No more cars for me for a long time I fear.

GMA
Its 52°F outside already. Guess I'll do some yardwork today. Got to pull all the dead flowers and junk the veggie garden.

Time for some breakfast. At least some coffee to get my heart pumping.
Beam me up Scottie.

Ron, I talked to a few TV people and they all agree Plasma is not the way to go.

I got LCD, 52 inch with 4mS refresh and 120 frame rate. These were minimum, the unit I ordered has four HDMI inputs and can tie into my home network ( well, at least that is what SamSung says ). I am hoping that I will not replace this unit for a long time.

My wife and I have been saving for a new TV for about a year and a half, so this was major for us.

I just need to figure out how to hang the bloody thing on the wall.

If you are going to get one, I highly recommend you do a vender check on the internet. We ordered from someone that was rated high after reading nightmares from people that ordered from less than reputable people and regretted it. I used BuyDig, they seem to have a good reputation. They were about $200 more, but they appear to stand behind their business.

I haven't received the TV yet, it is sceduled to be delivered next Friday. It left BuyDig the next day, and is in transit. The trucking company called and setup the best time for us. I was good with that. They didn't dictate when they were going to be "in my area".

So, I'll let you know how it goes.
