I was #10,000 post on numerous occasions. Then Fred would be his typical alien being and erase one or more of his prior worthless post, and then adding a post of his own after mine, which would make his post #10,000 (until I did the same thing). Fun for the feeble minded on a snowy cold day. New Years eve and no plans! Good thing, cuz there is about 6 inches of new snow and its snowing hard. A lot of drunks are going to be wrapped around poles and trees tomorrow.

Well here it is New Year's Day and I am going to stay in and do nothing. It is supposed to rain some here but I don't see any clouds so I guess they headed to Warren's instead. Should be full of snow by the time they arrive there.
I see in the news that the DUI units will be out in force. That is good as maybe they will manage to save a few lives.
And HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you.

Happy New Year to all my CC buddies and buddettes.
Got about a foot of snow yesterday and the current temp is all the way up to a balmy 5°F. Wind chill is -15°F. Damn, its cold outside.

Warren,
More snow is on the way. Our rain left here yesterday in clouds heading your way and we had a sunny day that got into the low 60s. Darn, that wind chill sounds cold.

Wow, back from the dog runs and it is starting to sprinkle just a little here. This is what now passes for rain around here. Enough to get you wet, but not enough to do any good.

It was nice and warm during my nap. Lots of snow on the ground, so no New Years Day ride. I also skipped my annual swim at the beach.

Went out on a 4 hour 200 mile ride today. During one part of the ride I rode by a big lake,32k acres.
Saw 1 boat,it was really windy. All of a sudden he pulls a skier out of the water and off they go !

Airplanes vs Women
Sixteen reasons why airplanes are easier to live with than women:
1) Airplanes usually kill you quickly - a woman takes her time.
2) Airplanes can be turned on by a flick of a switch.
3) Airplanes don't get mad if you do a "touch and go."
4) Airplanes don't object to a pre-flight inspection.
5) Airplanes come with manuals to explain their operation.
6) Airplanes have strict weight and balance limitations.
7) Airplanes can be flown any time of the month.
8) Airplanes don't come with in-laws.
9) Airplanes don't care about how many other airplanes you've flown before.
10) Airplanes and pilots both arrive at the same time.
11) Airplanes don't mind if you look at other airplanes.
12) Airplanes don't mind if you buy airplane magazines.
13) Airplanes expect to be tied down.
14) Airplanes don't comment on your piloting skills.
15) Airplanes don't whine unless something is really wrong.
16) However, when airplanes go quiet, just like women, it's usually not
good.

Woke up yesterday to find I had a nail in the rear tire of the Mustang. Get some air in it and went down to have it fixed. I noticed that it was pulling to the right on the way down so I figure, well I am here, rotate, balance, check alignment, etc... Find out the alignment is good, I have a shock that is leaking. Plus I am still sick, my throat hurts like hell from all the coughing. Well maybe all the bad will be at the beginning of the year and it will end great.

Joe,
That is a devil of a way to start a new year. Sorry to hear about your being sick. With these weather changes I am surprised nearly everyone isn't. It is cool here this morning and we just had a quick shower that has now stopped. It is supposed to rain all day, but that I doubt very much. Get well soon.

Friday already ... where has the week gone. Thankfully the temp has gone up to 14°F with a wind chill of only positive 5°F.
Joe - stay home and recover.

Had to come in to help the wife get into work and today is her appt to remove the cast. Should be a real slow day though as there are literally only 13 people in the office out of about 60. So far, I have completed only 2 tasks today 1. Reviewing 2 complete sets of repair documentation and marking them up, 2. play and win at 1 game of Monopoly.

Wow, does it seem cold here right now. It stopped sprinkling so I took the dogs for their runs and I think the temperature must have dropped 20 degrees. It is still overcast and dark, but I think the falling stuff is over. I saw in todays paper that 2008 was the driest year we have had in recent memory and 2007 was barely above it. Water will be at a premium next Summer if we don't start getting a lot of rain quickly. Also they noted that Shasta County had the second most deaths of any county in California. Mostly due to dope, drinking, and stupidity.
