Fred, you might want to remind him why he is there.
This will be a great moment only matched by his graduation.
God speed.

Fred - congratulations on the big move!
I remember when we sent our son off to college
far away from Hawaii. I'm sure you brought him
up right and he will, no doubt, be a beacon to those
who weren't. The bird has been pushed from the
nest and I am sure he will fly right. Relax and have
a beverage of your choice - you earned it!

Fred,
Congrats and I hope the trip went well.
I never heard of the vicks on feet before. I have been putting it on my chest and that helps a lot. I am glad that this stuff is passing. I used to get like this every year until I quit smoking and now this is the first time in a few years that I got more than a bad case of the sniffles.

Fred,
I hope the trip and getting Josh settled in went well. There will be a few days of getting used to him being gone, but he isn't so far away that you can't visit. Heck, break your cell phone so you will have an excuse.
Joe,
I hope that you are over the coughing by now. We are still trapped under that very cold high pressure front that moved in a few days ago and they don't know when it may move out. We are thinking of trying to use giant fans to start it towards Warren and Tru.

Dang it all Fred...don't you know we need a status report or something?
How did it go?
You can send that right over to Warren. I still have ice from the last storm.

Ron,
You will be happy to know the Shasta Goddess is hard at work preparing for Tru's visit to N. Texas. Rain and freezing rain all day today. High of 35 and it passed that a 5AM. Left home it was 32 and ice was forming on the windshield, got to work it was 31, and supposed to stay around 30 all day

We got here and he got his Id's,meal card and all his stuff into his room and all set up. He hit the ground running !
I took Josh & his girlfriend put for some T-Bones last night. Dropped them back off and went to the hotel. He claims that there just isn't room for my stuff and a 3rd bed.
I was in the room and I am not sure he is right.
With ice from here back to Dallas,I'll stay another day.
Already miss him and I'm still here.
More later, doing this post by iPhone is sometimg.

Joe & Fred,
It sounds as if you are getting some of what we had. We never got any snow but all the moisture on the ground and in the air froze the past three days and it is slick for a while in the morning. and then it gets way up into the 40s and if you can take the wind you are in good shape. Should Tru bring Snow shoes or Ice Clogs like they wear on the glaciers?

We only have Michigan style snow shoes.
Dang, just how cool is it in Texas? I was hoping for mild weather for hunting.

Tru,
Saturday it was 80° and sunny. Sunday it was 40° and windy, started raining last night and now it is in the 30s and raining. It'll probably hit 80 at least 2 more times before you get here.

Give it a try next time you need it-- for whatever reason has a better affect than on the chest. Of course, I'd also recommend a hot salsa and/or a whif of Chinese Hot Mustard... hope you're feeling better.
As for weather...sure have had a bit more than I like of -degree weather...some of that being inside an ice arena and sometimes outside at an arena.

Sunday it was cold and windy. Monday it was cold and overcast with a shower around 3AM. Now it is supposed to be in the mid 50s today but this I doubt as it is in the upper 30s right now. Just to many radical temperature changes to be able to adjust to them.
Fred,
Maybe Josh should consider basketball after this. I can't post the link as it is on my closed module, but the coach really was unhappy with his players.
After Texas Tech botched as many as 15 layups, Knight scoured the stands near the bench and invited a youngster to join a team huddle. He asked the boy if he could hit layups and the kid said yes.

Yesterday was a long day with all the stuff new students have to do. It was about 10 hours. Today he signs up for his classes and tomorrow they start.
I guess it is time to let him do his thing. I have no doubt he will do his best,he always has.
Not too sure but I think he was hinting about something last night.
He was asking how my GPS was working and he mentioned having a lot of Texas road maps.
I'll go by to say bye in a couple of hours and watch as he walks off to take care of signing up for classes.

Fred,
It will be both a sad and great day for you. Josh will do great. Maybe the hints about the Texas road maps was to let you know he wouldn't mind having your motorcycle available. Take it easy on the trip home and I hope everything goes great for both of you.
You can always take a run up to the Ozarks. My cousin said they were having a pretty mild winter. It is warmer there than it is here.

Fred,
Did you take any pictures while you were with Josh at Texas Tech? If so how about posting some of them. We don't really need the ones of you crying, just of Josh and the area. Besides you had Frenchy and the Ho sisters and BB waiting for you.

Yeah,I got some pictures of HIM.
None of ME.
I had forgot how small dorm rooms are.
I guess it is motivation to graduate and get a good job so you can afford something bigger.

Yes, I remember that by the time my roommate and I got our junk moved in we didn't have much room left. But it was still a great time of my life. This one I mean.
