Did you ever try digging granite with nothing but your hands and a stick?

Yea, none of that leaking, falling shale rock for me. But trying to take notes on a granite tablet is hard work.

Tru,

No it wasn't. And we had another great day yesterday. Temperature in the lower 60s and warm. Of course after the nights of 26 to 28, anything in the 60 degree range now seems warm. And best of all no wind.

Note To Moderators: This is longer than I thought and if it takes to much space just delete it.

Thanks, Ron.

IMPORTANCE OF WALKING:

Walking can add minutes to your life.
This enables you at 85 years old
to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing
home at $7000 per month.

My grandpa started walking
five miles a day when he was 60..
Now he's 97 years old
and we don't know where he is.

I like long walks,
especially when they are taken
by people who annoy me.

The only reason I would take up walking
is so that I could hear heavy breathing again .

I have to walk early in the morning,
before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

I joined a health club last year,
spent about 400 bucks.
Haven't lost a pound.
Apparently you have to go there.

Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise',
I wash my mouth out with chocolate.

I do have flabby thighs,
but fortunately my stomach covers them.

The advantage of exercising every day
is so when you die, they'll say,
'Well, she looks good doesn't she.'

If you are going to try cross-country skiing,
start with a small country.

I know I got a lot of exercise
the last few years,......
just getting over the hill.

We all get heavier as we get older,
because there's a lot more information in our heads.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

AND

Every time I start thinking too much
about how I look,
I just find a Happy Hour
and by the time I leave,
I look just fine.

You could walk this over to your friends
But just e-mail it to them!

Ron

Watching the Bowl game and they showed some stats on one of the Florida players they were talking about. It showed that his major was

Recreational Events Planning.

Fred - can Josh take that demanding work load of courses too?

Hey son, what are you majoring in college?
Recess, Dad.

Warren,

That is as good as Social Planning where they learn to give parties for the wealthy and powerful.

After Josh has seen all that I have accompished with a Degree in R.E.P. and a unrelenting focus on Recess he started running in the opposite direction.

I ended up with an older woman at a club over New Years. She looked pretty good for being over 65 years old (what comes after "cougar"?). In fact she wasn't too bad at all, and I found myself thinking that she probably had a really hot daughter.

We drank a bit (well more than a bit), we had a snuggle, and then she asked me if I had ever had a "sportsman's double". I was like; "what's that?" to which she replied; "It's a mother and daughter threesome"... "ooooooooh." I began to think about the idea. I said "No, I haven't" and wondered what this daughter of hers might look like.

We drank a bit more, then she said with a wink that tonight was 'my lucky night'. We went back to her place and walked on in. She put on the hall light and shouted upstairs, "MOM you still awake?"

Tru,

It is 71 here right now and just perfect. Two days ago it was in the upper 20s and the fog was so wet it was like standing in a Sauna. I like this weather and since we seem destined for no rain wish it would stay this way. The forecast for the next two days is more of the same. Enjoy the plowing and shoveling.More is on the way.

Tru
The snow is coming my way. Supposed to start tonight. Its only 24°F outside.

Feeling down in the dumps. Just read a story about a local female high school teacher (28 yrs old) that was arrested for rape of a child. The male student was 13 when the first rape occurred. The affidavit claims they had sex 300 times in 18 months. Gee, when I was in school, just having a female teacher younger than 60 was enough to make the day enjoyable. But having sex every other day for a year and a half when you are in high school? How the hell it could have gone on that long without anyone knowing it was happening is amazing.

Compounding my down in the dumps feeling, I've been doing some genealogy stuff lately and found out today that President-Elect O'Drama is related to a Mayflower passenger (just like me, but not the same passenger). Whew, that was a close call. I cannot stand any more bad news. God forbid, but I still could be related to O'Drama.

Beam me up, Scottie. Time to watch some football. No Pats, but at least the Dolphins and Indy have been eliminated. Pure stupidity ... the pats finish 11-5 and do NOT get in the playoffs, but San Diego goes 8-8 and gets into the playoffs. Guaranty that there will be discussions on this during the winter meetings.

Most boys know what is going on by the time they are 10, so 300 times is beyond rape. They were obsessed with each other.

And, if I was getting it like this kid, why in the wide world of sportz would I want to tell anyone?

Go figure.

I don't know about you Tru, but at my age I'd have it broadcast on TV ads and skywriters.

Fred, at our age its singular (urge), not plural (urges). Urges would probably require a hospital visit.

Its snowing outside. My urge is for 78°F and sunny tomorrow. As usual, my urges will not be fulfilled. Send up the Humpin' Ho Sisters.

Warren,

Well another day in the 70s here and not even any wind to speak of. Enjoy your snow. As for the Urge(s), they now have Viagra. Doesn't help performance but does increase the urges.

And as for the football playoffs, all sports are that way now. Greed has deleted the pool of good players in all sports to the point that teams that couldn't compete in college a few years ago are now pro teams and playing for championships. I thought that Texas should have been the National Champions in college football but not with their so called bowl playoff mess. Same for baseball. Just look what the Giants paid Randy Johnson for one year and he was a good pitcher but is well over the hill now. They just keep adding teams for the money and the play gets worse. Win your division and you are in the playoffs even if you don't play .500 ball.

Have a great day and enjoy the new snow.

Ron
