Brrrrrrrrr. I'm glad my cucumber does not get that cold. It's only 8 °F here, going down to zero tonight. Boy, I'm glad I'm not homeless.

Lisa - temps around your area are absolutely unreal. Minus 40 degrees temp in a couple of places. Wind chill effect must be 60 below. OMG, turn up the heat. Time for a hot chocolate.

Another 75 degree day for us here today and supposedly through the whole weekend. We need rain and all we get is cold and Spring weather back and forth. All Warren's fault as he ticked the Goddess of last year and now she is making the whole East pay. Maybe you should all go down and live with Warren while this is going on.

I don't think that I could handle that 20 and 40 below any more at all. I freeze when it is in the low 20s. And you would be running around in short sleeve shirts if it got that high.

Warren,

Your + 1° is a lot warmer than their - 14°. Of course I prefer our 70 to 75° weather. It was 51 when I looked at 5 AM. Oh well, I guess I will just suffer through the heat.

Getting ready to go to Texas.

It was -20 at the farm. Cool enough we had to put on a coat. That was Wed. last nigjht is was only -7, but we still put on a coat.

So I take home a test car and it drives real nice. The rules are; gas and car wash after each day of use. It is -7 this morning and I get out of the car wash and drive over to park the brand new car in the testing lot.

I can't get out of the frigging car. The water froze the doors shut.

Anyway, we have had some troubles. the Tahoe is no more. We purchased a jeep to replace it. Everyone is fine, but the cost to fix the Tahoe is more than the value of the truck...maybe.

I have it parked until spring -- sometime in July when the temperature goes above 0.

Been running the wood stove or fireplace every night.

How are you all doing with this seasonal weather we are having?

Tru,

Truthfully it has not really been than cold here. Yea, it has been the last couple of days but it is definantly much warmer than normal for this time of year.

We turn the heater on at night but during the day we really dont need it. I will say I am not in shorts and a golf shirt today though. I had to break down and put on a long sleeve shirt.

We're havin' a heat wave
a tropical Texas heat wave
its 14 balmy degrees
on top of the ice chunks

One of my gutters is falling down
and the driveway is full of snow
but the sun is out
and the TV is working

So we're havin' a heat wave
a tropical Texas heat wave

Warren,
I just saw the 5 day forecast for Quincy. It's looking a lot better for you.Suppose to get above freezing (33) Sunday before returning to your now normal temps.

Got any special plans made for Sunday yet ?

Clean the TV screen, watch 2 football games and have three meals during the day. Looks like a nap might be difficult unless I squeeze it in before lunch.

Outside in 50 degree weather with a very cold north wind blowing at 20mph with 35mph gusts sucked yesterday. I am feeling a little sick again, so is my wife now. She could not walk that much yet, so she was still in a wheelchair and refused to wear a tennis shoe in dress clothes (was not going in jeans, it was a special occasion and she was dressing up), so her foot was in the wheelchair with no shoe on.

Yesterday was a great day though. We bowled a few games with Derrick and his dad, went out to Red Lobster for Lunch, let him walk around the mall for a bit, and then went to the San Antonio Rampage hockey game. Letting him make the schedule since he graduated, so I have no idea what is in store for today. Just glad we will not spend 3 hours outside in the cold.

Warren,

It hit 80 here yesterday and is supposed to be in the 70s for the next few days. We should be having downpours of rain at this time of year. But since we can't get any rain, then I prefer the nice Spring weather to that cold stuff we had before this last warm spell moved in.

Never thought I would see Alabama colder than Alaska.

What are you complaining about?

It is above zero, that's all you need!

I see people are going out in numbers to see "the train".

Boss, THE TRAIN, THE TRAIN

Remember Tattoo on the old TV series Fantasy Island. Personally I wouldn't walk across the street to see a train with any of the politicians on it. Heck, I never even went to the airport here when Bush flew in. Saw Air Force 1 in the air as it was in the landing pattern.

Speaking of Fantasy Island, Ricardo Montalban (Mr. Roarke) just passed away. Rest In Peace
