Mid 50's yesterday. Went for a two hour ride. When I got back, I spent 1.5 hr cleaning it. The wet roads really spit up a lot of dirt on a Cobra.
I was going to do some more cleaning today, but I got sidetracked on the computer on some genealogy stuff, and I got hit by the sandman for a good 3 hours this afternoon.

Nice picture Warren.
We are finally getting some real rain here and it is going to help, but it will take a couple of months of this to get things anywhere nearly normal. We have had more in the past two days than in the last year or so, and it is raining steady but not really hard right now.

Ron,
Good to hear, I hope it continues for a little while.
Warren,
Nice picture.
Supposed to be partly cloudy with chances for rain this morning but this weekend is supposed to be really nice. If tomorrow is anything like yesterday, I am thinking it is time for some Bratwurst on the grill.

Joe,
It is still sprinkling here right now but today is supposed to be just mostly overcast with a chance for some light showers with real rain returning tomorrow. I hope the Cascades are getting a lot of snow out of this before it moves on to Warren's.

Never been in a Costco nor a BJ's.
GMW. Boy, its almost 10AM. Just woke up. Time for some coffee. Bought some 8 o'clock coffee based on its best rating in Consumer Reports article. They were right ... it is some really good coffee. Tastes much better that the swill I was drinking, plus its cheaper too.

MMMMM,
Had a Texas Red grapefruit this morning. tasty.
Hey did you all hear that, Charter Communications plans to file for BK before April? That is what they get for giving themselves bag ass bonuses expecting the whole world to convert to digital this month. They were (are) completely loaded with debt.
I'll be Starbucks and Six Flags don't make the year either.

Nah, I'll still use my studded snow tires. They still hold air. Not bad for tires made in 1969.

Cold and damp here this morning. Light rain in the forecast for later today and heavier rains for tomorrow and Monday. I just hope it doesn't come a down pour and cause all of these bare canyon walls to slide into the rivers below. Otherwise, we need all of the rain we can get and I am sure they got some snow in the Cascades. Mt. Shasta is all white again.

GMW. Just woke up at 11. If I get something to eat now, is it a late breakfast, an early lunch or brunch.
Temp is all the way up to 33F. Ten day forcast is for 9 sunny days and one day of rain, with a high temp of 39F.

Hey Ron,
The weatherman just said that Mt Shasta was expecting 9-16" of new snow today.
Well it is a start.

Steve,
I just got home from Redding and they have the signs on that they are screening traffic at Fawndale, which is 5 miles North of here. They will be looking for people that don't have chains and turning them back if they don't live in the area. No snow yet, but it is very dark and cold and just misting here right now.

Just finished running the main electrical lines for the train layout I am building. I decided to run a cord from the wall outlet to a light switch, then to another receptacle. The transformer for the trains and whatever else I add will be connected to this receptacle. This way I have a master power switch for the whole thing and I can shut the whole thing down easily/disconnect power so there is no power draw when not in use. Now just a little clean up with the wires and then I am ready to really begin the layout itself. I have the track laid but not glued down yet, so I guess that will be next.

Joe,
Pictures when you get it completed please. When I had my lay out I had it connected through a surge protector that had an on/off switch so I could cut it off when not in use. Also stopped any of the tiny passengers getting on or off from being electrocuted if there was a voltage spike for any reason.
