Ron, we could get the Goddess to hook up with the Heikki Lunta (the Finnish Snow God).. and cause a huge mess for everyone..

Speaking of snow, we got 2 inches the other day. It is all melted now.

How are you all holding up?

Lisa,

I think Tru deserves the most he can get. He always did like shoveling and plowing snow around.

Tru,

I am still in somewhat a state of shock and denial I guess, but at least it looks as if they are going to have a nice day for the services. Wish I could be there. I will miss out phone chats and story telling more than anyone can imagine. I guess you will have to add room for Frenchy and her hoard now.

Well I too still am in a state of disbelief. I know it is true, it is more a case of not wanting to believe it I suppose.

Now orphaned, I wonder where turtle will end up?

Steve,

I am sure that turtle will be well cared for. Last I heard Frenchy and her group were threatening to tear Fred's motorcycle up if he didn't do something for Turtle. Then after destroying Fred's bike, she was going to take BB and the Ho Sisters and move in with Tru.

There are now rumors from Frenchy about a ride up north to free Turtle from the flower bed and them head out on a road trip.

I really hope they don't just toss Turtle away.

Turtle is a member of the family as well.

True,

We must see if we can save Turtle. Tru is the closest, he could get him, take him down to Fred, and then Fred could bring him out to me.

Australian radio : PUTDOWN

For those that don't know him, Major General Peter Cosgrove is an 'Australian treasure!'

General Cosgrove was interviewed on the radio recently. You'll love his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and children.
Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this! This is one of the best comeback lines of all time.
It is a portion of an ABC interview between a female broadcaster and General Cosgrove who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military headquarters.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
So, General Cosgrove, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
But you're equipping them to become violent killers.

GENERAL COSGROVE:
Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?

The radio went silent and the interview ended.

Let's see, can I handle visiters? Yes we can have visiters.

There were times when I got up on Saturday after the boys had gathered a number of people over for a card game and found the living room and family room littered with sleeping people.

I walked through taking inventory and then I would roust the group and ask who all was eating breakfast. Those that had been over before immediately raised their hands. Then explained breakfast to the others and well, I ended up cooking about three dozen eggs and about 10 pounds of sausage.

Those days are gone. We get two or four people spending the night, sometimes. Nothing like those all night card games.

The best part was the parents would check in on their kids through us so the kids didn't have that "mom and dad looking over their shoulder" thingy going on.

So who is coming to visit?

Hey, I called yesterday to make my reservation and you weren't home. Off working or something like that.

This isn't an open invite.

You all need to make reservation in advanced.

There's plenty of room in one or more of the barns.

Ron,
I think I have an old version of the spreadsheet at home. I may have modified it a bit to my needs, but I will check for it. Here at work I had the link to his site which, as I am sure you know, is down.

Ron or Fred,
Can you forward it to my email? I was thinking about making it into an automated spreadsheet like Warren was talking about, or even into an application that you can plug criteria into and get a list out based on search criteria.

I was thinking of naming the application the WTM Cobra list.
