8 inches and still falling.
Branches from trees are all over the place and many people are waiting for the storm to pass before they go out.
And, I put the tractor in the two story barn for spring. Go figure.
Anyone else hit?

Darn Tru,
Are you going to have snow all Summer? We are still having nice warm weather but the wind is getting to be a nuisance. They say some chance of light showers tomorrow but yesterday they said that about today.
Better get the tractors out and ready for snow plowing again.

Fred,
I had something a tad more comfortable to ride in mind. Besides I could just see our DMV and CHP if I went flying by on something like that.

Can you imagine hitting a bump with your manhood resting on that leather?
OUCH!!!
Man, that makes me cry just thinking of it.

Thanks Fred,
I just got back in from helping a guy about 100' from my driveway that the mail delivery woman ran over. She never stops at that stop sign just like none of the others and he was on his bicycle and started to turn and she ran right into him. He was fortunate as it only hurt his leg and foot and knocked the chain off the bicycle, but neither he nor the woman wanted to file any type of a report. I have seen more wrecks at that corner than any other place in this town and this running stop signs is a nightmare as no one stops at any of them except me and I almost get rear ended when I stop at one. Some woman a few days ago was screaming at me and giving me the finger because I stopped at a 4 way intersection stop sign and she was in a hurry. And they wonder what they are always having road rage and wrecks around here.

Man, I am hurting today. We went to Speed Zone on Saturday and was having a great time riding the go-karts. That was until I had to get on track with an a**hole. We were riding the "Slick" track (For those not familiar, cars spin out easily, not a lot of speed, but really fun). A few of the people who spin out at every turn piled in together in one corner blocking the track. I stopped as was waiting for the track workers to clear the track and this about 15 seconds later a guy plows into me at full speed (about 15-20 mph). Normally it wouldn't have been too bad, but being at a complete stop and him hitting at an angle while i was unprepared hurt. My hat and glasses went flying, everything went black (flash knockout) for a sec. I have this huge bruise on my side and back on my ribs. Same guy later did a similar thing to my step son. Speed zone wouldn't do anything about it either. Just let the guy keep on doing it. Even after one of the supervisors heard him laughing about it saying, "did you see how I creamed that kid that time?" I am just glad he hit me instead of the kid who was stopped next to me as I was in the process of telling him to put his foot back in the car and not stretch it out just to be safe when he hit me. He hit at about a 45° angle from the right rear. It may have broken his leg as it was on the opposite side near the wall.

Joe,
There seem to be at least one person like that at ever one of these tracks and the go-cart tracks as well. I used to just bide my time until they got into a tight situation and then I helped them off the track. Once they saw that they were going to get back what they did, they would leave that person alone and look for another to push around. Sadly, we have no more of those tracks around here any more.

We only have the one place, but it isn't going to last if they keep allowing people to do that.

That's to bad because they can be a lot of fun. Years ago we had a pretty big go cart track just a mile or so North of here and they had two classes of go carts. It didn't cost much to go run them and you had to go through the lower class and get a permit from them before you could move up to the faster ones. Several of us used to go up there and spend a half day racing. But that is all gone now.

Okay Joe, I have a rule about getting into a small car or cart that is a target for other drivers. I don't do it.
I know that hurts, especially those brusied areas where you have to sit or rest on later. Soak in a HOT tub and take a couple of asprin.
Fred, that was nice to suggest Ron take up bikes, but I think he would do better on a Harley. That bike you suggested needs someone young.
It is snowing again. I saw one roll over and three in the ditch on the way in. Almost lost it myself a couple of times. Black ice is the worse.
I was sort of hoping this weekend was going to be warm, but it isn't looking that way right now.

Tru,
A couple of months ago when we had an ice storm, I made it about 1/2 of the way to work and got to a hill where everyone was sliding down and piling together at the bottom. I stopped and turned around. I did ok until about 1/2 of the way back home. I hit a patch of black ice and the Mustang started to come around. I saved it, but I was lucky there wasn't any on coming traffic. I ended up on the left shoulder before I straitened back out. That was only the 2nd time I did not make it to work on time because of storms. Scared the hell out of my wife and I had to remind her that screaming in my ear will not help.

I have noticed there are some women that feel your hearing fails when there is a time of crisis.

Tru,
This is just Tuesday. Kind of early to be worrying about the weekend isn't it? As for the black ice that is the worst. I had a wreck when I was in Arizona and traveling during college break by hitting a patch of it. Got out lucky as it just bent the rear end of one fender where it hit a bank as the car spun. We don't have much of that here but occasionally will have a little on one of the overpasses and then the cars really stack up in the median between the North and South bound lanes.

Well after four days of high 70s and low 80s it is actually sprinkling this morning. Not much but enough to feel. They have had this in the weather forecast for the past three days and just kept pushing it out to the next day when they got up and saw that it was sunny. Not a bad job. Pick something and then just keep pushing it out a day or so until it finally happens.

Good Morning!
Yes, it snowed again yesterday, but it is going to go to 52 today...or so says the weather person.
My pond/swamp will flood into the woods if it rains again.
