Joe,
I saw it on the History Channel. I only watch about 5 different channels and that one more than any other.

History channel. Ron's old house was featured at the end as it was 17,000 years old and had unbelievable stone work. But then again, we know Ron is a perfectionist so it made sense what I saw the pictures.

Laugh now. How many of your houses will still be standing 1700 years from now.
Well this is the big Kool April Nights car show week and they are having show and shines every day this week. I may drive out to a couple of them today. It is supposed to be in the 90s for the big show Saturday. I got a glimpse of a Cobra coming back from over toward the dam yesterday and it looked like one that a friend of mine sold about 2 years ago but I am not sure as I didn't see it in time to get a good luck.

Tru,
My Dad has had a running battle with gophers going on for a few decades now. I kinda think he enjoys the fight.
I e-mailed the link over to him for the Rodenator.
He's all excited !!!
I think he is going to get one.

Hey, I found a cheap way to get rid of my Gophers. They sell these gas bombs down here that look like giant firecrackers and you just light one and put it in the hole and real fast fill it in with dirt. I did that for two years and found several dead gophers where they had managed to crawl out of their holes before they died and I haven't had any problems since. I think that stuff gets into the dire and stays there and they won't come back around where it has been.
Tru, which shade of PINK did you settle on for the Cobra?

He had a couple in the front yard that was giving him fits.Tried all kinds of baits and even some gas mixture down the tunnels.
The gophers just got fatter and happier.
He finally setup a sniper position in a up stairs window.Laying prone on the floor and everything.
Gottem ! Right thru the head.
He was proud.

Fred,
The easiest way to get rid of them is to follow one through their tunnels until they go to the main nest. Of course Tru would have to leave his rifle behind and just use a knife.

My Dad shooting the gophers are in a residental area.He would shoot one, close up the window and blinds real quick.
Neighbors would wander around looking for someone shooting.
So Tru crawling down thru the tunnels with a BOWIE knife between his teeth would work real welll.
I would try and keep my Dad away from the Rodenator for Tru.

Thanks.
I am not the one with the knife.
The rodents are making a mess of the yard, we will be rolling on the next week or two and then I will be able to find the active runs.
I saw those bombs you were talking about Ron. I haven't tried them yet, but I may in the near furture.
Well, I managed to live another day.

Tru,
They have worked well for me. And I think the drought around here may have also helped as what was left of the gophers moved over near the lake where they can have water.
Get a few Gopher Snakes and put them in their tunnels.

Friday and it is supposed to be in the mid 80s today and 90s tomorrow. I may drive up t the Auditorium and watch them put the Super Cars inside that go there. Doubt if I will get out and go to the show tomorrow as there will just be to many people and I don't want to be in a huge crowd. Maybe spend the day watching races and playing with the pups.

Well kids, the lift is all fixed. Another fine $500 of parts and labor.
But, I will be able to work on three trucks this weekend...using the lift.
The list of chores is growing. I haven't turned the garden yet and here we are deep into seed planting. The water tower poles are in, but the tank and plumbing all needs to be done. There are a dozen trees that need attention. There is a collector and controller in my lab that need to be built and verified before they are installed. And the list goes on and on.
Dang, I am going to need a vacation so I can do more work.
The Cobra is healthy. Fired up after I cleared the fuel line. I was ready to take it out. Too much mud.

Darn Tru,
You sure like that four letter word work that Warren didn't like. You make us old retired people really tired just from reading about all that you do. I guess I will go lay down and have a rest from reading these posts.

Did any of you see that picture of the new Limo they built for the King Of America? Glass 5"to 7" thick and mounted on a heavy duty truck frame. It is supposed to be a Cadillac, but looks as if they used some parts from several models and maybe even a couple of years. No specific details about the engine and weight and such as that is classified as is how much that tank on wheels cost. It is an Air Force 1 on wheels. Nice to see him setting an example of not using a lot of gas.

Maybe it's not gas that is fueling that limo?? Perhaps it's equipped to use an alternative -- ? But corn based fuels aren't all that "green" either..
