Nice pictures Ron. Some very interesting homes there from small, barely
above water, to impressive castles, especially when you consider the level
of difficultly getting materials there and building them. I am guessing not
much tidal action or water level change extremes. You won't see those here!
I wonder how the winters are there?

Flip,

The Summers were great when I was there but the Winters can be really bitter and miserable. If not for the Winters I would have like to have moved there and stayed. People are very friendly and we had a lot of things to do. Also just a short trip over into Canada where there is some beautiful scenery.

New CAM for two reasons, I slammed the hydraulic lifters and I want more.

Two days without power makes me cranky.

No one would have known you were cranky if you hadn't told them. You seem pretty normal to me.

Dear President Obama,

Thank you for helping my neighbors with their mortgage payments. You know the one's down the street who in the good times refinanced their house several times and bought SUV's, ATV's, RV"s, a pool, a big screen, two Wave Runners and a Harley. But I was wondering, since I am paying my mortgage and theirs, could you arrange for me to borrow the Harley now and then?

Ross Manton
Queen Creek AZ

P.S. They also need help with their credit cards, when do you want me to start making those payments?

P.P.S. I almost forgot - they didn't file their income tax return this year.
Should I go ahead and file for them or will you be appointing them to cabinet
posts?

Ron

Four days of rain.

All of my tree are showing sprouts and flowers.

The Cobra is up on blocks now and ready for the disassembly.

I am doing small parts so I can fix the poop load of other thingys needing attention.

Well I see you are smiling today. Must have gotten your power back on. Four days of rain. I had forgotten it could rain that many days in a row. Everything around here is getting ready for the Fires and the Forestry is going from house to house inspecting to see if they have any brush or trees that should be cut back. This is about as dry as I have ever seen it around here.

Tru,

The paper and news has had nothing but getting ready for one of the expected worst fire seasons ever up here. They have people going around to show home owners how to make their houses safer. Dry doesn't begin to describe what these forests and canyons are like and it is just April.
They just increased our water rates a huge amount as they have to move and run new intake pipe over at the lake because it is so low they can't get the cool water where the pipe ends now. And they are also adding another pump at the base of the dam. I do not look forward to this Summer if it turns out even half as bad as they are predicting.

Well, the cobra has half an engine.

I removed the top end of the engine as I started the CAM swap.

Dang my engine is dirty.

Tru,

Glad to see that you are starting to get the work done. Now if you would just hire a kid to stay on hold for the 21 hours it takes to get through to their tech line you will have it made. Of course the tech yo get may not speak English or know anything about what you want to know.

Ron, the engine work is progressing, but I did not think I would find the bottom of my CObra such a filty mess. YUK!

I am going to have to refine my winter prep proceedures to include a complete wash and rub of the bottom of the car.

Yes, I know it is to be expected given it was driven all over the place.

I need new pipes. Maybe Stainless.

Tru,

I used stainless on my Cobra when I had it and they were great. They do get hot quickly though. I also have a stainless exhaust system on the 69 Cobra and it has stood up for many years. I used to clean the bottom of mine after every hard run. All kinds of dirt and rubber would be under there. Then I would rattle can any places that were chipped and it stayed pretty clean after the first time or so.

Good Morning...Ron.

Seems like you and I are the only two posting on this thread.

Want to let it die?

What do you mean 'your engine is dirty', the inside?.

Tru,

I just still feel the loss of Warren and the arguing about Turtle, Frenchy, and Dino. But I post on here if I have something that is of no value or doesn't fit in any other thread.

Who is Dino ? Sounds like some male Ho to me.
Frenchy is willing to give him a try though.

Darn Fred,

Have you forgotten already? Dino was my dinosaur. A rare Blue one that was very tame and loved Turtle Soup and Frog Legs.

I am still around. I think this tread is just lost without Warren. We are starting to move on though. Still feel it strongly and I still look for his posts when I first wake up, but it is getting better.
